詞曲作者丹尼爾．埃爾德（Daniel Elder，1986-），美國喬治亞州人，全職自由作曲者，創作以合唱曲為主，同時也為其合唱曲寫作了不少原創詩詞。《夜曲三首》這部作品以作曲家原創的詩詞配以優美動人的音樂，探索人與愛、自然、黑暗、光亮的連結，及身處其中的感官經驗和流露出的情感，細膩地描摹黑夜的場景與夜裡的情懷。
樂曲以柔美的月光動機揭開序幕，特殊的大跳音程踩著不疾不徐的步伐，是月夜迷人的呼喚，黑夜中彷彿聲聲召喚著漫遊者。中段以男聲述說林間小徑的黑暗不減其歡欣，表達了沐浴於月光下的幸福美好。隨後以無伴奏的四部和聲娓娓道來對自然奇景的敬畏與讚嘆之情，於月光下喜極而泣。
末段，暗夜飛逝，睡意漸起之際，鋼琴以快速的十六分音符將音樂逐漸推至作品的高潮，四聲部輪番堆疊，狂喜的靈魂、歡唱的心靈大聲疾呼與我同歌。曲末輕聲敘說對美好月夜的不捨，喜悅的淚水之中。全曲溫暖而柔美，將六月夜晚裡的細膩情懷描繪得淋漓盡致。
