Here at the bottom half of the 🇬🇧 we are due a massive snow storm soon 🤞 so all 7 of our huskies will either be laying in it or watching it fall from their kennels last proper snow we had was dec 2022 👎 , Kira you must have been warm to melt your snow in 2 places 🤔🤭

Jess are you guys in for blizzard like conditions for the next two days starting tonight (Jan 11th 2024)? Ottawa county Kent County, Muskegon County and pretty much all of West Michigan is in for it. Schools are already closing and canceling sporting events for tomorrow in anticipation of weather. My husky/akita is loving the 4 to 6 inches we got between last night and this afternoon.

Many years ago we had season passes to watch the Komets in Ft Wayne, Indiana
I made a giant pot of homemade chicken soup a few days ago and it is a good thing I did because both my son and I got sick with the crud. First time we have been sick in many years. I feel misarable.

My parents' crawl space often gets rats moving in during cold weather & my husky fur-sister will frequently hears them under the flooring, probably getting into fights when another rat has squeezed under. She will just stop in her tracks & stare at the floor, doing the adorable head tilts dogs do. She may even smell them through the cracks in the old flooring. Between hearing them, she sniffs around, but were not sure if its just her searching for a smell or if she actually smells them. Her recently passed brother, who looked just like Shelby, never noticed the rat sounds/smells, nor thought anything about why his sister was being weird, so I just think it could be individual differences in hearing/smell abilities.
I watched the live stream where she was sniffing & staring at the ceiling in the same way, so its possible a family of some kind of critter has moved into the attic or whatever space you have above the living room ceiling! Or they couldn't get back out & died up there. 😬
