DiRT 3 has snow and gymkhana. Tho couldn't get to gymkhana yet because i rage uninstalled it after 12 races :P

@@installshieldwizard3017 it all depends on nostalgia. I also personally do think dirt 2 is a better game tho it's mostly because how much it has affected me during my childhood tho I will acknowledge that dirt 3 has a lot more better stuff than dirt 2.

@@installshieldwizard3017 you forgot one thing that more important than all those things you mentioned. Car handling, doesn't matter how many cars/stages Dirt 3 has.
I didn't say Dirt 3 handling was crap, but Dirt 2 feels more drifty while Dirt 3 has more grip (at least that's how I feel).
This is just my subjective preference but I like Dirt 2 handling more than 3.

DiRT 2 And DiRT 3 are awesome games
From what I can infer, Dirt 3 has better graphics and lighting, however Dirt 2 has more environmental details, which may as well even out the odds with Dirt 3. I think they're both great games.

BUT. You had so much more to play in Dirt 2. More racetypes. More cars. The worldcard was much better than the shit we have now. It was just better cause you didnt have to spend money to get a full game. Dirt 3 is just half of a game how it should be. All the dlcs should have been in the normal game

Dirt 2 is fun, but the lack of Rally events took the games score down by A LOT. I also wish that the certain cars weren't tied to certain events. E.g The Ford Escort MKII is a Rally car ONLY. I would like to be able race it in Trailblazer or Rallycross events too.

D!RT 2 has been one of my favorite video games. I cannot tell, I just feel like it is a more quality game than D!RT 3. The race track selections are much better, and has a wider range of cars to choose from. My favorite is Trailblazer.

wish dirt 2 was still on steam, dirt 3 is boring ends to quickly and you don't ever even go with others and crash into them. that is boring because the challenge is to be 1st and you always will be in dirt 3.
Dirt 3 is awesome but I miss that good ambience from Dirt 2 , I got more attached to Dirt 2 than 3

Well you do got livers and horns in dirt 3 but dirt 2 had more options.

I liked and played Dirt2 way more than 3. It felt more personal with the trailer and rivals commenting on stuff. I enjoyed it enough to get every PS3 trophy for it. I finished Dirt3 but I didn't get all the trophies. I liked the tracks in 3 but the insane amount of costly DLC kind of spoiled it. I mean, I was excited to pick it up on the release date but that was a lot of money for an incomplete game.
For serious sim driving, I go to GT5 so everyone can hold the arcade racer comments.

But DiRT 2 have more tracks, a good soundtrack, you talk to ken block and travis pastrana (this is awesome), secret cars and more.
@xGeeZuuusHD Dirt 2 also wins for damage, it's much more dynamic and realistic, while Dirt 3's car damage isn't as good. But Dirt 3 is better overall, I think.
I loved dirt 2, fantastic game especially online, I was ranked in the top 200 on psn, got dirt 3 last week and I have to say am hugely dissapointed, its just not as good as dirt 2, not even close, I will stick with gt5 and dirt 2 for now, traded dirt 3 in.
It's the SHIFT effect. Sequel that looks worse than it's predecessor.

The only thing that I believe was better in Dirt 2 was the soundtrack, everything else was improved in Dirt 3
dirt 3 looks better in some areas and vice versa, but i honestly think dirt 2 is just more fun. from the great soundtrack to the varied cars, it's really unbeatable. dirt 3 is alot of fun too though
for me there are not so many differences in these 2 games.yesterday i bought dirt3 and i waited to play it but when i started,it reminded me the dirt 2.dirt 3 is good.but i can finish the game in 2 weeks.i am so sad about dirt 3.i thought it will be amazing but..back to GRAN TURISMO 5 again.the king...

Some people asking here why dort2 is better than dort3, well reason is simple, every one must play atleast cca. 2-3 hour of each and then answer will be clear... in dirt 2 iwe enyojed much more than in dirt 3, if some 1 giving u a choice between d2 and d3, take dirt2, just believe me!!

I like Dirt 2 better for the pc.
Now I play Dirt 3 on pc and I find it less funnier to drive. Maybe also because the environment looks abit sad in comparision to Dirt 2.
Dirt 2 has brighter graphics and the handling is better too, bit harder , but better.
more tracks of truggy landrush mode than dirt3,and better graphic ,sound ,more excitement to play in dirt 2
I like Dirt 2 more simply because of Dirt 3s sheer lack of diversity compared to Dirt 2. but they are both great.

i loved playing dirt 2, i played it alot, but dirt 3 was just a piece of shit for me, played it 30 minutes at release and never touched it again
dirt 2: better damage model, better rallycross, better menu,better career,
dirt 3: better graphics (not everywhere), better physics, more rallycar, rain and snow

i think dirt2 is better with your soundtrack ,interface and without assists configs and goods tracks with more difference styles country... Dirt3 is better with your graphics and the better physic to drive... Final: Dirt2 (4) x (2) Dirt3 .

Everyone says dirt 2 is better because they a the arcade racers. I prefer Dirt 3 cause im a sim driver. They've done the right thing... now the arcade racers can play Dirt Showdown while us simmers enjoy hardcore rally (DIRT 4 2013 guys!!!!!!!)

Dirt 3 is so much better without all that American crap, still loved dirt 2 tho, 3 defo looks more realistic, 2 creates the illusion that the graphics are better As there more vibrant but 3 is defo more life like, a definite improvement even though it's minor.

dirt 2 has pashion for offroad racing but dirt 3 has gyhmkana and that stuff and no customization

i dont understand why they made dirt3 so bland. gone is the human part of the game with drivers talking/complaining to you. and also the freaking awesome main menu inside the trailer. on 3 you are greeted with a bland menu screen with a bunch of triforce triangles. though 3 has fun multiplayer it doesnt make it better than 2 as a game. also, the soundtrack is great for both games but 2 is still better in that department as well. even the loading screen on 2 is better
