Glad you decided to box it too, i could see how it made sense not to at first but with how far you've taken the car now, it would really add a lot of value to have that taken care of
Hey Mike, you need not be so hard on yourself! It has always been my belief that most folks are born with God given aptitudes and those folks just naturally have a leg up on somebody that has to learn everything of a skill. I think you were born to paint and be mechanically inclined. I have always been mechanically inclined but he didn't give me any painting skills! haha Really liked this video and it brought back memories of me making the steering on my AV8 roadster work and also clear the motor. A mounting bracket above the frame and center dump headers solved that for me. I was glad to see that you put a coat of primer on the sedan. Lots of rods back then spent some time on the streets in primer as a nice paint job was a high dollar item to have done. Good idea to box the frame with that small block. Not needed as much with a flatty unless the frame is rusted really bad. Thanks lots and best wishes to you and Alli!
Thank you so much. I’ve always felt the same as you described. Mechanically inclined. I hope someday to maybe take some metal shaping courses. That hasn’t presented itself at this point. Hopefully this year. I’d like to elevate that part of my knowledge.
Mike I love how you present your project, you say you are a regular guy and don't take credit for things that you have not done. A breath of fresh air my man. Well done!
Well I can say I have seen all of them finally. Starting with mom rides in hot rod. To this one. I really do enjoy them. My daughter has BWS and is doing great. But this is my get away outlet for now. Lol. I love the videos. I have 1951 f100 that I get to spend about a hour a day. And lot of the tips I am using come from you. And I found your channel thanks to bad Chad and Jolene. Keep up the great videos. And remember more talk less music. Haha.
looking so good can understand it does take a lot of time and learning the know how's you come across. Built my 46 chevy truck and still working to continue
It's to bad guys have to bitch and moan but everyone does things different. I've never built a hot rod but I think you're doing a great job, I've learned tons from your videos. You're very upfront about EVERYTHING, very aware of safety obviously cause you decided to box the frame, but people still like to complain....crazy. Love your channel man keep doing what you're doing 😊
Sooo we are going boxing! Well Mike, that's a bonus for me to see that process! Projects become money pits eventually, as much as we see it coming and try to avoid it. Boom! From a content aspect I'm getting exactly what I need here. If I was some hot shit know it all I'd move on and watch some master coach builder stuff. I have a neighbor who stops over after a few cocktails to bring my projects to the next level. I've been happier lately by politely telling him to get back on his side of the street. Constructive criticism is fine, but sometimes I wonder what drives people to type stuff they wouldn't have the guts to say to your face. Stay true to your "content intent" Mike, I feel like if you're happy with the direction, we'll benefit, enjoy the ride, or move on. It's Simple. Life is short. So I'm glad to see the boxing, and look forward to seeing what's next on the plate at THOR.
All hot rods are put together differently, if any one says they all go together the same then they never built a car/truck. Unless your building the exact same car like a assembly line. It's going to be a nice hot rod for someone to build.
I completely agree. Some people just need to be negative. It’s too bad. I enjoy what I do and how I do it. To each his own. Thanks for following along.
If we -- DIDN'T -- repeat ourselves --- WE wouldn't be a REGULAR guy ----- I started to say earlier that -- If we didn't repeat ourselves -------Now --- it becomes a Blooper ---------------- For a Regular Guy ---- you are doing just FINE ---------- The car will be a Good start for someone ------------ See Ya on your next one ---- Rodney
I don't often comment but it is sounding more like you are doing it not because its what you like doing moreover you are feeling obligated. Thank you for that ............BUT you appear and sound burnt out on it. Remember the golden rule, "It is supposed to be fun", don't let the RUclips thing turn it into a job. Peace.
It’s taken longer than I had planned. I wanted to be working on my other cars. That’s all. I’m a little upset with myself. I’m still enjoying the process, I just want to be done already. Adding more work is more time. The nice weather is here, I’d hoped to have moved the car along. That’s all
You have inspired me to get back on my stalled project.
I’m glad to hear that. I hope you see it to the end. Or to a point you can enjoy it.
Glad you decided to box it too, i could see how it made sense not to at first but with how far you've taken the car now, it would really add a lot of value to have that taken care of
It certainly will. It’s the right thing to do also. It’ll be this weeks project. 😁👍🏼
Great beginning thanks for taking us along
Thank you for sticking around.

Thanks so much for all the kind words. Looking forward to roll this one outside and to get back onto my own cars
There are no idiots just a different way of thinking
Agreed
Perfect statement!!!!
A real professional car builder uses 12 pack carriers for template.
😂👍🏼
Some of us use 30 packs.

That’s a great way to put it.
No thats someone that drinks too much.
Haha that’s possible.
