Drake thinking he could have Kendrick's fans is funny asf. Drake is too much of a character to even be respected & Kendrick is just authentic in every sense of the word
You need a conscious mind to write conscious songs. When has Drake shown consciousness🤔 he hasnt even grown mentally or emotionally 😐🙄 @jameslight4391
He’s not an industry plant. That term isn’t applicable to him at all even if his music hasn’t resonated with me for over a decade. He wasn’t planted by the industry but he was tended to, cultivated and protected by the industry because of how marketable he is. He’s palatable, inoffensive, apolitical, and easily able to navigate through different spaces in the industry with ease which makes him very lucrative. He can do pop, rap, R&B, and their various branching off points. I do agree he couldn’t do “conscious” rap though, he doesn’t have the shared cultural experiences or backgrounds to speak on the marginalized and he also hasn’t grown as a person for damn near 2 decades so his ability to expound of his very narrow viewpoint has likely been exhausted by now.
@@pristinedecision1877 ok your point is just semantics, he may not have been “planted” by the industry but it’s obvious Drake’s been propped up and pushed by the industry for well over a decade. capitalism LOVES picking and choosing winners then presenting them as ‘what the people want’, while they crush any meaningful competition that might devalue their ‘product’ Drake has been the industry’s #1 product, as well as Trojan Horse, to take control from artists and give it to executives… and Drake has been all too happy to act as such, as long as he gets *HIS* bag, for a very long time

Meaning if he was throwing shots, it would be for the "in the know".. Meaning whoever he was dissing, only that person and a select few would have caught it...
