Good to see both your training is coming along really well, filming & running at marathon pace is impressive skills, your running & videos have got better, good variety, helpful marathon training tips is encouraging 😀
It's great having that trail on your doorstep knowing that you can concentrate fully on your workout without dodging traffic. Great effort the both of you 💪👏💥
I run the same trail, but never at the weekend. Way too many runners, cyclists, dog walkers etc. Ran up towards Dunford this afternoon. Hardly saw anyone. Much quieter in the afternoon.
Good idea doing your sessions on the old railway route. I might need to start driving to somewhere similar for some runs. The harder efforts often seem to land on steep hills otherwise 😅
Good to see you both training hard. Always think marathon training through the summer is tough if at least pleasant before and after. Interesting old railway comparison. The railway one seemed to have a road to the left which could not see on the current view which you would never know is the same place.
The Road is now a trail path up to a cemetery. When we get back, I'll post a clearer pic. Yes we hope to avoid the scorching days when there is a major run.
@@tworunningbrooms ah I sort of guessed that from the parkrun course map. Presume bridge over railway to cemetery gone and you now go over the trackbed on the level ?
@TimGrose no the bridge is still there. In fact every bridge ( about ten I think) built by the Victorians are very much intact. The one that fell to bits is the millennium one which has been closed for over 2 years and counting.
Great job on the workout; really insightful to hear your thinking as you go through it. I can imagine it's much nicer running a road marathon in autumn but the training in the heat over summer must be a challenge. If you've got a tropical gel for the summer I hope you've got a root vegetable gel for the winter :)
Haha. I've been running marathons like a turnip so would seem appropriate. Hope you and Carla are enjoying Scotland and we're looking forward to lots of nice content.

Thanks Reece we're always looking to improve the running and the content.

Thanks Kev. Feel very lucky to have it.
Brilliant guys 👏 I’m with you John, the Pro 3 definitely get better around 200 miles, mine feel better now than they did out of the box!
Thanks Andy. I'm on my third pair now. Definite marathon shoe. Just need the legs to go in them.
Excited to see what the Pro 4s bring later this year.
Nice session, looks as Dawn says "tough" but a great session. I find in the heat I need a gel or two.
Keep on keeping on.
Thanks Neil. I was surprised how well I lasted on one gel actually. And no carb drink. It's all in the legs this game.

Poolsbrook would be ideal for you. Or you could consult AI to give you some ideas 💡 😀
@@tworunningbrooms 😄👍 yes, that's a good point. I have much more time for driving now I've outsourced my thinking to ChatGPT!

That's way too much training for an old codger like what I am. Well done you 2.
Thanks Steve. Love the TPT.

@@tworunningbrooms 😅 Thanks, had a great time up there, good for hill training and getting the elevation in!
