House throwing his cane and RUNNING.
It made me almost cry because I didn't put the pieces together until House started *running* and when he did it, the title made sense. House running made me visibly hold back tears.
@@daringdarius5686 I cried so much when I saw how quickly House ran to save the baby. And then the mother's reaction to her murdering her own son, made me cry even harder. And then I stopped crying and clasped my hands over my mouth as she threw herself over the side of the bed and experienced hematemesis! (AKA vomited blood.) I have seen what the final dignosis was, but I did not know about the hematemesis part. That had me shocked.

The human power of Adrenaline. That is one hell of a hormone!
*hobbles faster*
Bad acting. No amount of adrenaline can give you a new leg muscle
@@nickz5849 He doesn't need a new leg muscle to run or walk. He only uses Vicodin and the walking stick to ease the pain. Adrenaline can help someone put aside pain for a while
@@nickz5849 Adrenaline literally stops pain reception almost completely for a short amount of time. It's why people who are shot don't notice right away because of it. Running on a gimp leg for a minute or so in that situation is not unusual at all really.
It still surprises me when I see House run to save a life.
Well House showed us again that even though he is an sarcastic intelligent ass he have a heart and soul and care for other human being life's even tough he hide that under his sarcastic mask..
Yes very unusual
Because it's not his job to do that
He's still a doctor, and contrary to popular belief I think he still cares about human life, it's not just a puzzle to him. He knew if he didn't act quickly someone could die, there's no puzzle there. It's a deviation to his normal character but a lot of House that we see is all superficial, I imagine.
This is what I love to see in a community, everyone posting their own individual thoughts and ideas.😊
Everybody lies. Except babies because they don't know how to lie yet
...is no one gonna talk about Chase...his expression when he delivered the news about the baby's death...it was broken...
You should see him later, when he has to biopsy the baby. He says the most beautiful little prayer over its body and then adds, "I'm sorry." _Gah._
Lose a baby. Then you'll understand the pain he had.

For people who are here and wondering, back when their was slavery in the southern states, they wanted the slave population to count as part of the state. People from the northern states said they wouldn't because they are property and couldn't actually vote. House literally thinks 'fk the cane', and runs to save a baby being smothered, turns to Foreman and says, 'I told you your psych theory wasn't stupid.' For some reason, that's mildly funny, and hugely tragic at the same time.
Literally, eh? Glad you cleared that up, I would have thought you meant figuratively.
@@douggale5962 Thank goodness it was figurative lol
There's a deleted scene not included in the episode where House literally thinks "fk the cane" and unzips and started rubbing against the cane but when he realizes it'll take forever for him to get off that way he zips back up and throws his cane and runs to save the child
Don't forget he also kills the kid by giving rescue breaths to it. It's like using an air compresser to inflate a mini paper ball.
Producer: "What can we do to make the mother even more hated?"
Director: "Call her Karen."

Can you imagine how horrifying this is? Like, imagine having a baby and being happy to be a mom, and then waking up after blacking out and finding some medical condition made you kill your own child. Just...ugh, I feel so bad for that mom.

They probably should've moved the kid away from his psycho mom while treating her. If she tried to kill him once, you think she wouldn't do it again?
I don't think she tried to kill him the first time. If I remember correctly it looked like she passed out or forgot him in the bathtub.
Well, they didn't know that the first time she TRIED to kill him. They supposed she had a seizure (which she didn't). There's no reason not to let a sick mother be next to her life-threatened baby, don't you think so?

@@johnturn3383 isn't that basically your body going 100% of whatever strength you have? Your body ignores pain and basically puts all that energy into fight-or-flight, people have been known to break bones because of this. You just dont feel it happening until after.

Something about it cutting off right after she throws up fake blood is extremely funny
Definitely one of the more memorable episodes in the show. House throws away his cane and runs, dad is in denial, the speed monologue about the placebo to check if she's a "psycho killer", Jesse Spencer's delivery of "the" news... I don't even have or want kids and this episode hit me in the feels.
As a dad, the mother's reaction at the end is killing me. Almost crying.

Nobody gonna mention how House was threatening Foreman with dropping the n-bomb? 💀
i love how house just yeets his cane and sprints to action
It scared me a little when House threw the cane and started to run
People commenting that House throwing away his cane is impossible:
The nature of his condition is that he's missing a fist sized chunk of thigh muscle. He can use the leg, but putting weight on it hurts him. This is what the cane and medications are for. When he throws away the cane he is choosing to put weight on his leg and suffer the pain in order to move faster.
House tossing his cane and hobbling quickly to save the baby is beautiful.

Seeing House run to save the baby is the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life and no one can tell me otherwise.
A normal person might of hesitated, doubted themselves but House is blunt and considers the worst more then others to be a better doctor. He knew right away what she was doing and tossed his cane and started running when he realized an innocent baby was in danger.

Watching house realize what was happening, throwing his cane aside to run on a leg that he feels intense pain in everyday, seeing him catch himself on the foot of the bed, all to save a babies life was very quick but effective storytelling on how much House really cares.

House jumping out of his cane and running to save the baby, is by far one of the best moments I've seen in this show, without a doubt.
