IV been there many times. Live just down the road. I never get tired of going there. A cabin home when he was a child n they actually dress up n work around just like the old days. It's a National Park n across the road is the State Park. Idk why but it is.

Yes. A head stone to show where she lived when she died. I have been told no one knows where she is buried at. Her daughter Sarah Lincoln is across the road at Pigeon creek church. A quite solemn place to respect the dead. Summer 1964 the first year I was their. God Bless them all.

Across the road in Lincoln State Park there is a small church to the right just past the gate. If you tell them you are going to the cemetery they are supposed to not charge an entrance fee. In that cemetery Abraham Lincoln's sister Sarah Lincoln Grigsby. She died in childbirth and her and her child are buried in the Little Pigeon Creek Baptist church cemetery. It's a small cemetery. My husband's grandfather has part of his family there. They died during the influenza epidemic at the turn of the century. We would always take the kids by there to remind them of their family history.

According to what I have seen in my families note and stories, she was a distant relative.

Look up Thorson Clark. A Union soldier in Lincoln city 1860. Left a wife and 4 children. To fight the battles. He ended up in Andersonville Prision one hour south of Atlanta Georgia. Thornton never made it home. His letters and belongs showed up at an action house in California in 1960. I believe. Dale Indiana historical society

So interesting that she died never knowing that her son would not only go on to be President but become perhaps the most well known President of all time and change the entire landscape of the USA.
