Out of all the other coins videos yours are the only ones over 10min plus...but you make them interesting enough to pay attention for that period of time on coin videos ...👍
I like when u pull up coins in person and grade them. I would love for u to do more videos like this. I understand you're not working for a professional grading service but your experience is valuable especially coming from a guy that's had a lot of coins graded and has been through the think qnd thin of things.. We appreciate ur expertise.
I found one of these in circulation and that sheen has developed a beautiful rainbow like color when it is held over light. Still looks good, just has a deeper reddish tint to it now. Beautiful coin.
Hey Silverhound, I don't know, maybe it's just me, but again, the more info I have on this hobby, the better prepared I am to appreciate and participate in it. So again I say, your right, the people have spoken and we want to hear all we can concerning the hobby! Till next time, take care.
Actually, although the rarest of events happened to me. I filled up with gas and went a couple cents over. The store clerk rounded up and gave me all dollar bills. I told him I'd rather have the change. He gave me the 98 cents, I put in my pocket and went home. Before I had time to look at it, I set the change aside from the rest until I could take a look to see what I got. The next night I was talking with my son about coins and remembered the change. As I looked I found a 1963 P penny in what must have come straight out of a well kept collection! Well we went out side and relished my great fortune! We came back in and I started looking at the rest.....what did I find? 2 more 1963 pennies one without a scratch and the other two a couple tiny ones. So I got not one but 3 pennies you would never believe in change, just for asking for it! Absolutely the honest truth I still have all 3!
Just found a slightly red slightly tarnished 1985 almost perfect full set that is off center struck error. No mint mark got this in my change yesterday.... ur coin .50c today.... $50,000 tomorrow!
They're still out there there in Vancouver. I find some really nice 60s 70s and 70s in rolls up here. One roll I opened yesterday was 50 us pennies not one Canadian. That was a first for me. We always watch your videos as we go though our coins. Heres a few that I pulled out last night.
Thank you for the 'real" info. U speak to people as if u know them and never talk down to them and ur content is always fresh and enlightening. Keep up the good work n thank u for the fresh look on a pretty interesting and fun hobby although my wife says otherwise lol. Sean D.
I have 85's in "AU" beautiful full red, no scratches, no nicks, super struck, and ABSOLUTE, no Zink Rote. I didn't find mine in circulation either brother. The way i got mine, i have a deer friend, very older buddy, he was serous when it came to Coin Collecting. Anyways long story short, he passed on, willed me his Collection, and that's how i got my super high Graders. Thanks for the video . Have a super dooper day my friend.
Hello BlueRidge Well the more time you spend on the topic the more coin knowledge we get in detail with pics and coin history to how cool thanks for the info and the video 👍🏾🌵
I think I've found a 1985 D error lincoln penny. I wonder if it's common... It looks as though it's zinc plated copper, as opposed to what it should be (Copper plated zinc). 1985 was the transition year, so I suspect there might have been some errors in 1985 which minted some 1985s with 95% copper. I've got a copper plated zinc 1985 D penny to compare it with, and visually they look very different. I guess the only way to be sure is to weigh them. I'll weigh them in the next couple of days. I was curious if anyone here might know anything about this type of 1985 Lincoln penny error. I'm from Australia, but I'm much more into American coins than Australian Coins in the numismatic context. This is a great channel! Thanks!
I found a 1963 in that condition no scratches or marks and a lot of others in great condition I have a lot of pennys jars rolls Canadian and us pennys.
Good overviews of what really happens after submissions. Albeit' s a gamble , but I've pulled a lot of one armed bandits dropping grading fee on a machine pull. It's awesome for a professional like yourself to explain the world of 3P graders. I have a dozen of brown/ red 82 and 83 3.1gr. Plus some with MINT errors small date and large date.
If I came across one that nice looking, I’d have it graded and put it back for future generations. At a 67 what a gem piece for my grand kids! Lol But that’s just me. I’m clearly no expert. But I do hear what you’re saying BR, it’s a crap shoot for sure!
I actually just started collecting and I found a beautiful 1985 D in perfect condition with some doubling on the front and the letters on the back are extra fat like crazy. I've never seen letters like it! Can I send u pictures of it?
Thank you BlueRidge . Very interesting video and the info was excellent to bad all mine are low grade so hopefully I will get lucky. Keep up the great work BlueRidge
Thanks for these videos. I have been watching alot of them si ce the pandemic to pass the time. I have found what I think is a 1985 D double die reverse in probably, I am guessing fair condition. I have been looking for information on this variety on the internet but I am having no luck. Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks again for the great videos!!!
I just started collecting and I pulled out of my old bottles of change and found a 1985 d in almost mint condition with what appears double stamped on the date and mint mark. I was surprised. BTW, im 51 years old so when I put it in my bottle of change it must have been just released.
I have 3-pcs.of Lincoln pennies, one cent with different years of minted us follow 1966,84 and 1989.I'ts in good shape, I'm leaving in Proj,8 Quezon City,Phil.

Sean, love the info, but you failed to speak on the 1985 s. The proof set is the information I was looking for, I have a 1985 s penny that I was looking for information on.
I just come across 2 1972 S small date DDO , date and mint mark. A 1958 D DDO/R O/ date MM In God We and the chin and chest area. R/ONE CENT. Does anyone have any idea how much they may be worth? I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks Eli
love your videos but the only thing thats i dislike is when you apologize if we didnot want to hear that much awesome info we would go to the nexty video i personally love alll the in depth info you give and how you deliver it so just know theres no need to apologize i think you do it cause your just a really nice dude and some trolls said some negative doodoo it sucks but trolls will be trolls. and i betthey jealous of your dog that dog is beautiful liiks very smart as well maybe too smart lol imagine a 85 yo coach saying this next quote to you " your doin great kid! no one can touch ya"
Where are you from? I have over 16lbs of wheat cents I had a 14 d 22 no d and a few others I found and sold but the rest I have no idea and I dont have anything to magnify. I thought there may be a chance you live close by
Ridge I'm in Michigan I swear I come across 1985 mints everytime I lincon box hunt ,i swear i see them so much ,I play them like there nothing ,I used to be like omg ....but now I'm like ok ,but I'll start keeping them
I have a stack of 1985 d mint condition and they look way better than the example shown here..got lucky with an original few rolls from the bank someone turned in..but also got other years 74d 90..86..85..83..77like gold ingot look..nothing wrong with them however unless I am missing how to check the double ear..however grading no..way to expensive an endeavor
Grading is SO inconsistent that I'm seriously considering getting out of the search and save and send and ??? For the first year it was just fun , the thrill of the hunt and to find something exciting . Part of why I enjoyed the hobby was because there seemed to be logic and 'what you see is what you get' , once you've learned something . With this hobby ( and hopes for $ , Ill be honest ) it seems like it relies too much on what side of the bed the graders got out of on any given day . That's too much like real life . If a hobby is like the injustice of real life ... it's just not fun enough to bother .
Great content as usual sir I'm by the proof and mint sets I have them from 1952 on except for the years that didn't sell them but I do have the special mint sets or the proof said if they didn't make men sets or vice versa
