    I like how Kurzweil's low(er) range stage piano is more advanced than most workstations

    Hey great demo! Can you make your own splits i.e. Piano and bass, organ and bass, etc. and pan the bass to one side to run through a bass amp? Thx

    Digging "Fagen Phaser" EP sound. Steely Dan always had great sounding piano parts, polish and production. Nice keyboard.

    Well it's a timeless Instrument.Artis has GERMAN GRAND D as Basis but this is also for PC3K8 as an additional extension still available. So the GERMAN GRAND D is worth installing.

    19:80 what song was this from, I recognise that run? :) jarre perhaps?

  • @АлександрЛапченко-н4е

    It was a timeless instrument

  • @АлександрЛапченко-н4е

    Sounds good. But what’s the difference between it and PC3K8 with KORE64 +German grand D ROM? Tanks!

    Could you please briefly state the differences between Artis and Forte and extra features of the PC3 against those 2 apart from the sequencer?

    • @AlexLaptschenko
      @AlexLaptschenko Год назад

      PC3 piano has basicaly 3 dinamic Levels, Artis and PC3A has 6 dinamic Levels and FORTE has 12 dinamic Levels. So the way it is in General.

    Awesome demonstration, Daniel. Loved the wind & strings sound. Sounds like good pipe organs, also. Can you midi this with a Rodgers organ (2013)? How would it sound? Just curious. And be a lamb and quote a price. Does it come in 76? Guess I can Google it, but if you get a chance. Thank you for your demos. They are always very interesting.

    Sustain pedal kicks on the Leslie. How does that work in going from none to slow to fast to slow etc.?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  7 лет назад

      Hi Boris, the Sustain pedal acts as an alternating, two-position switch that goes between Slow and Fast. By changing the speed values of the KDFX Rotary effect, you could alternatively alternate between Stopped and Slow, or Stopped and Fast. Thanks for watching!

    • @therealborischang
      @therealborischang 7 лет назад

      So can you set the board up so favorite patches are adjacent so you can click the pedal from voice to voice without using your hands and without having to go past 100 patches to get to the one you want?

    I don't know it's hard to choose between the Kurzweil Artis, Motif XF8 and The Korg Kronos the Organs on this one is crazy! cow the Kurzweil just kill it wow which one is the best guys? the one that I would never regret.

    • @mohsentabouna6401
      @mohsentabouna6401 8 лет назад +1

      +Bundy Oklazman this is more of a full stage keyboard for people who just play live
      it's an easy and effective keyboard
      KRONOS is WAY MORE Complex you basically can change every and anything the voicing is unlimited in the kronos the AUDIO CPU is 3 times more powerful u can use so many more additional keyboards in MIDI IN of the KRONOS etc.. It's a piano Workstation Audio interface sampler everything you'd ever need in other words

    • @MrRockamontv
      @MrRockamontv 8 лет назад

      +Mohsen Tabouna So do you think it's better then the Motif XF8 so did the Motif get Dethroned and why? Why would I want to buy a Kronos?

    • @mohsentabouna6401
      @mohsentabouna6401 8 лет назад +1

      nah they don't last much through time and the mapping process is a mess yet they have very good keys
      personally i use NORD stage 2EX for live and in studio i have a Kronos Plus linked with 4 keyboards for extended control 3 expression pedals 8 pedal switches and all the equipment is easily mappable through the KRONOS software
      it really depends on the use trust me if you are a casual player or just a player with no studio or advanced knowledge in high-end sound sampling then go for something basic that won't mess u up like a Kurzweil and for instance the best organs forme are in the NORD since the keys are just a liiiiiiitle less weighted and veeeeeery sensible since it uses a fined HEX code it has a 0-999 range otherwise surf youtube and what Forums try to enter forums and creat topics you'll get more help than u think ..bye

      For the price, other brands do not have a matching keyboard. But a RH3 keybed Kronos is a very good instrument with tons of possibilities.

    Is this transpose friendly?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  8 лет назад

      Hi Markeus, at 1:13 I mention and show the TRANSPOSE + and - buttons, which make the Artis very transpose friendly. Thanks for watching!

    A dedicated reverb knob would have been nice for when you are using the faders as drawbars.

      Boris Chang There is one reverb slider with an on/off button at the top.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  6 лет назад +1

      Hi James. The Kurzweil Artis is an incredibly powerful synthesizer and ROMpler that can be programmed to sound like almost anything. Thanks for watching!

  • @nezkeys79

    Organs and strings are fantastic on this. Organs sound better than the nord. Actually every other keyboard patch is brilliant LOL damn nice stereo reverb on everything? Weakest is its acoustuc piano tho but thats fine i guess as i can pair it with a yamaha cp88 or something. This is a synthesizer to me not a stage piano but damn ill be surprised if someone knows a better synth 0_o
    How are we hearing this sound as i dont see speakers

    Hey, nice demo!
    I always played in a Kurzweil FORTE 8, and the piano sounds, the hammer action in keys impresses me. Now i have the opportunity to get a Kurzweil ARTIS 8. Analysing this comparison chart at the kurzweil website: kurzweil.com/knowledgebase/forte/product_comparisons/311/ we have some differences between FORTE 8 and ARTIS 8.
    Main differences are flash play and sample memory.
    I mean, are these two points crucial in sound quality?
    Thank you!

      Yes. My plan is to get this and then as I save up, to add the Nord C2D as second and third manuals, and a pedal keyboard and have a nice home practice setup.
