I'm growing mine back from some hair loss in some areas my front sides are a bit bare still, one more than the other so I think this will work very welland look so good. Love yours on you by the way.

Jill! Did you see Jon Renau came out with their new “California Blonde” collection? I just preordered top wave in the new Malibu blonde which is 12fs8 but now instead of that dark root it has a lighter root (12FS12)... I never tried 12FS8 because that dark root scared me as being too dark for my blonde roots that come in brownish rather than black. I have been wearing non rooted 22mb and been adding my own light root in with eye makeup lol! I can’t wait to see your reviews of these new colors coming out! Have a blessed Sunday :)
I recently purchased this piece and I agree re: the permatease around the perimeter. It is great in back, but looks a little "square" around the sides, a bit like Frankenstein's head, haha The more I wear it, the softer the side corners become. I press on the side corners with my hands and that helps. I love it, regardless, and actually want to buy another for a back up!
Would love to know if there is a topper that creates a front hairline like a lace-front wig. My hair is badly thinned at the temples and front, so this topper won't work for me. But I would love an alternative to a full wig, since my air is thicker elsewhere.
Hi Dotti! This is such a great question. YES, they do make lace-front toppers. I will be sharing one soon for your guys. For instance, Top Billing by Raquel Welch is a lace-front topper. You can also turn any wig into a topper if it's not too short of a style. ;)

I absolutely love this topper. I wear the color #8. I had to trim mine a little bit. I just put mine on and dampen the sides and scrunch the sides a little, to help keep the curl. I sprinkle a little TOPPIK around my hair in the front, around the hairline. This Topper looks beautiful on you. :-)
I've been working on growing my "grey" hair out as well .... have purchased a few wigs, just haven't gotten comfortable wearing them outside of the home yet ... thoroughly enjoy all your tips and tricks and will be trying these as I prepare to start being more "brave" and wear my wigs outside of the home .... kinda hard right now when I'm in physical therapy 3X a week ~ i keep imagining my therapist having me do something and "oops"!! off comes my wig ... LOL Anyway ~ love watching you as often as I can .... Keep up the great videos and wishing you the best in continual growth of your channel .... I need to find a color that would blend with my front salt and pepper but from the crown and down is closer to a silvery platinum. Several of my wigs are shaded praline but too warm for a topper. Color is difficult for me to figure out. My skin is very light but bio hair was close to a 2b and blue eyes. I’m hoping I might have some advice from you or your subscribers. I have it in the 22MB...I am dealing with thinning hair on very front of crown area; like a receding hairline and clips are killing me so I have been playing around with them. Recently started washing my piece in fabric softer (diluted) in the sink and I really love the results. So much better than any conditioner I have tried. So glad I found you on here. I am 45 years old and new to the toppers and have been so sad my hair is starting to thin. It runs in my family. You look so beautiful with your topper and without ❤️

My question is the ratio of water to fabric softener in the spray bottle to tame the HD fiber that have gone rogue. If I missed that explanation in the other videos, sorry to ask again. I realize that you can't teach us what a hair expert knows but some guidance would be quite helpful. I've asked around and no one in salons wants to cut a wig. Any instructions would be helpful.

I,too would appreciate how my girl trims her toppers. I’ve never bought a topper because I stopped coloring my hair. I don’t know why they don’t make gray toppers. But my front inch is salt and pepper and then it goes into a nice light gray and platinum. I don’t know if shaded praline or a lighter blonde would be best for a topper. I am confused by the jon Reneau line of toppers. Wish someone could do a comparison between easipart, top wave, top notch and top secret etc and now there is the French tied (which sounds amazing).
kk doc I have Topper Chats/reviews of all mentioned above except Top Secret. Each one I show the caps etc... I have yet to try the French knotted caps. 😉
I really love the look of this topper, Jill, and I almost purchased it but have to know if it would be ruined if I trimmed off about an inch or so as I am much older than you and do not want to look like an older woman trying to look 25. I would like it to hit at my jaw and just above my shoulders. Again, the swatch of the 12FS Shaded Praline in Patti's Pearls still has me on the fence. Is that where you bought yours? No it wouldn't ruin it at all...I trimmed mine too. I would say just be sure you know if you want the ends to be blunt, or more feathery so it will blend into your own hair better if you hair is longer. Yes, the swatch looks darker online, but the one I am showing in this video is 12FS8.
Do you trim your wigs and toppers on a styrofoam head? I’ve cut hair since I cut my little brother’s hair when I was 8 years old. I ruined a curly human hair wig, and now I’m scared to pick up scissors for my wigs. Thank you for all your help. You’re one of my go-to girls in all things hair. Hi Jeanelle! I put my wigs or toppers on one of those heavy duty cork type heads. I have a stand for it that clamps (w/ suction) to my counter. OH...I have ruined more than one wig that ended up in the trash. :/ Thank you so much for your kind words...I am thrilled that I have helped you in some way with your wig journey!! Hugs~
I'm really loving the look of the toppers!!! I was sooo frustrated with my wig today, I felt it was like a vice round my head even though I hadn't altered the size or anything like that.. the thought of the freedom of having a topper instead sounds amazing...yes, so that I too can feel the wind in my hair!!! Gotta go for this soon! ALSO, I just got a new Jon Renau product called "Wig Lustre" apparently supposed to revive you wig... I haven't tried it yet, but hope I doesn't just put the shine back in it... like it is when new, prior to the use of dry shampoo lol🤣 I'll let you know how I get on with that...missesd you Make-up Monday this week, hope you're doing ok?! I don't see why not. I would cut less than you think you need, and longer than you think you should. Also, pay attention to the 'place' you are going to cut ...so it's not a weird bend (since it's a little wavy). ;)
YOU SHOULD TRY SHADED PEACHES AND CREAM IT WOULD MACH YOUR OWN BIO HAIR THE 10 IS MUCH LIGHTER THAN 8 IN THE SHADE PRALINE COLOR. IT JUST BIT WARMER SHADE I HAVE MILA IIN SHADED PRALINE I MADE A 3/4 TOPPER. HEATHER SHOW YOU HOW TO DO THIS SHE MADE A 3/4 TOPPER AND IT LOOKS SO NICE ON HER SHE SELL THE CLIPS.ON CLOSE OUT.!
I have experimented on two of my wigs....still experimenting. Haha! I have thought about the peaches and cream, but it looks a little too warm and strawberry blonde'ish'. Not sure if I would like that?
I'm thinking about getting the 8" because I want to get some tape in extensions. My hair has grown back in, and I can wear it IF my hair falls out again to cover bald spots! 😬 I just hate the look of girls wanting long hair so they buy extensions and they've got a short bob! That look of an 8" bob with 22" extensions isnt anything I want to sport! 😉

Jill love the video. But I'm texting you again about another topper that I bought, and that I love. Its called Evanna from Rene of Paris. I love it. I saw it on Patty Pearl youtube. Check her video out. Evanna I think has more wavy hair then the 12" Top Wave by Jon Renau. I want to buy more toppers because Summer is coming. I'm debating on getting another Evanna or to try out Jon Renau 12 inch topper. Hope this helps.
Hi Jill ..I knew it!!! Lol. I think a few more weeks and your hair will be as long it looks fine to me, I do know what it's like though I scrutinised mine at first ,the great thing is you can put them up and you don't even know they are on apart from the little tugging I get now and then but I just adjust the clips . The feel is so different from the wigs and cooler not so itchy ,I miss my wigs for the different looks though. Oh I see the permatese I do prefer not to have on wigs although my last two toppers are not mono (Rene of Paris long top enhancer )and have it on the top I don't mind then as I put these up and it's a nicer look, my top notch I keep down as it's flatter. The Milano looks nice and quite a thick topper I'm thinking of getting this next . Isn't it good to have hair we've dreamed of !! Xxx

To calm down the shine instead of dry shampoo, I literally baby powder my wigs and shake it out, works beautifully

Jil if you take b complex and additional B12 your hair will grow considerably faster. Hope this helps.

the shaded praline looks warm on you but the roots are way dark for me but they are sillilar!

Yes! I found I just have to be careful that I don't 'remove' too much hair for the side coverage. ;)
I really love the look of this topper, Jill, and I almost purchased it but have to know if it would be ruined if I trimmed off about an inch or so as I am much older than you and do not want to look like an older woman trying to look 25. I would like it to hit at my jaw and just above my shoulders. Again, the swatch of the 12FS Shaded Praline in Patti's Pearls still has me on the fence. Is that where you bought yours? Thanks in advance. I'm really excited!
No it wouldn't ruin it at all...I trimmed mine too. I would say just be sure you know if you want the ends to be blunt, or more feathery so it will blend into your own hair better if you hair is longer. Yes, the swatch looks darker online, but the one I am showing in this video is 12FS8.

Do you trim your wigs and toppers on a styrofoam head? I’ve cut hair since I cut my little brother’s hair when I was 8 years old. I ruined a curly human hair wig, and now I’m scared to pick up scissors for my wigs. Thank you for all your help. You’re one of my go-to girls in all things hair. You are so humble but very precise and also a little more mature as am I.
Hi Jeanelle! I put my wigs or toppers on one of those heavy duty cork type heads. I have a stand for it that clamps (w/ suction) to my counter. OH...I have ruined more than one wig that ended up in the trash. :/ Thank you so much for your kind words...I am thrilled that I have helped you in some way with your wig journey!! Hugs~
I'm really loving the look of the toppers!!! I was sooo frustrated with my wig today, I felt it was like a vice round my head even though I hadn't altered the size or anything like that.. the thought of the freedom of having a topper instead sounds amazing...yes, so that I too can feel the wind in my hair!!! Gotta go for this soon! ALSO, I just got a new Jon Renau product called "Wig Lustre" apparently supposed to revive you wig... I haven't tried it yet, but hope I doesn't just put the shine back in it... like it is when new, prior to the use of dry shampoo lol🤣 I'll let you know how I get on with that...missesd you Make-up Monday this week, hope you're doing ok?!

Hi I was wondering, is this in the synthetic fiber or the heat resistant fiber?
The ones that say, "hd" in this line are the heat defiant ones. The ones that are called just synthetic cannot be used with heat.
Would I be able to cut a fringe in this topper?
I don't see why not. I would cut less than you think you need, and longer than you think you should. Also, pay attention to the 'place' you are going to cut ...so it's not a weird bend (since it's a little wavy). ;)
YOU SHOULD TRY SHADED PEACHES AND CREAM IT WOULD MACH YOUR OWN BIO HAIR THE 10 IS MUCH LIGHTER THAN 8 IN THE SHADE PRALINE COLOR. IT JUST BIT WARMER SHADE I HAVE MILA IIN SHADED PRALINE I MADE A 3/4 TOPPER. HEATHER SHOW YOU HOW TO DO THIS SHE MADE A 3/4 TOPPER AND IT LOOKS SO NICE ON HER SHE SELL THE CLIPS.ON CLOSE OUT.!
I have experimented on two of my wigs....still experimenting. Haha! I have thought about the peaches and cream, but it looks a little too warm and strawberry blonde'ish'. Not sure if I would like that?
I'm thinking about getting the 8" because I want to get some tape in extensions. My hair has grown back in, and I can wear it IF my hair falls out again to cover bald spots! 😬 I just hate the look of girls wanting long hair so they buy extensions and they've got a short bob! That look of an 8" bob with 22" extensions isnt anything I want to sport! 😉

Definitely you have to dye you hair with blondes layers in your bio hair.
I may consider doing more blonde in my own hair come Summer. For now...I am kind of liking the contrast since Shaded Praline has such dark rooting. ;)

Jill love the video. But I'm texting you again about another topper that I bought, and that I love. Its called Evanna from Rene of Paris. I love it. I saw it on Patty Pearl youtube. Check her video out. Evanna I think has more wavy hair then the 12" Top Wave by Jon Renau. I want to buy more toppers because Summer is coming. I'm debating on getting another Evanna or to try out Jon Renau 12 inch topper. Hope this helps.
Hi Jill ..I knew it!!! Lol. I think a few more weeks and your hair will be as long it looks fine to me,
I do know what it's like though I scrutinised mine at first ,the great thing is you can put them up and you don't even know they are on apart from the little tugging I get now and then but I just adjust the clips .
The feel is so different from the wigs and cooler not so itchy ,I miss my wigs for the different looks though.
Oh I see the permatese I do prefer not to have on wigs although my last two toppers are not mono (Rene of Paris long top enhancer )and have it on the top I don't mind then as I put these up and it's a nicer look, my top notch I keep down as it's flatter.
The Milano looks nice and quite a thick topper I'm thinking of getting this next .

You shouldnt cut the topper.....no one cares if your bio hair is a bit shorter...it look fabulous.

ADD A HAIRBAND KEEPS IT IN PLACE AND MAKES YOU LOOK YOUNGER AND KEEPS HAIR OUT OF YOUR FACE.
