Theory: Xal'atath, or at least her current host, is the final boss for this raid. Alleria sacrifices herself to try and kill her, but instead of a permanent defeat, Xal's true void self just takes on Alleria's corpse as her new form and uses it to begin the Void invasion of Azeroth.

She then meets up with Sylvanus in the Maw and after one or two 80's style training montages they return to Azeroth all bulked up on elven whey powder to punch Dimensius right in his big fat purple face. Sylvanas looks to the camera and says "I am the TRUE hero of Azeroth!" Everyone claps.

we need to lose in the war within - there needs to be actual consequences and we need to lose - Midnight needs to be our rebuild from under the nose of the baddie army and re join the horde and alliance by finding key players - then we need to fight back in Midnight and then thrust forward in the last titan
I think it's pretty obvious we lose or else Midnight wouldn't happen. That's already been spoiled. Xal'atath wins whether we kill her or not in this expansion. Same with Dragonflight we didn't really win either (we only saved the new World Tree), Iridikon won in the end. I assume Midnight will be light Cataclysm 2.0 where the entire world is revamped into shadows and void corrupted and destroyed, and many NPC's will be dead.
If this is the Karesh theory, I'm a bit disappointed - I was hoping that'd be the capstone of Midnight, that a portal to Karesh would be opened at the Sunwell and we'd spend the last patch on Karesh like we did Argus

I think we will go to Karesh during Midnight. The last raid of TWW will take place at some point in Silithus where Xal'Atath will use the sword as a conduit for the void (since beledar turns to void since the sword is there), probably a portion of C'thun's body will be a raid boss in it. She will use the sword as a conduit to teleport to Karesh and from there the invasion of the Sunwell will start in Midnight having Karesh as the headquarters of Xal'atath's armies

I just assumed that as the ethereal were the denizens of Kareesh that managed to bind their souls to the physical world with the bandages, the brokers were the ones who didn't make it.

My concern with a void-themed raid right before an expansion with void enemies is over-saturation. That being said, I guess WoD did that going into Legion, so maybe it won't be a problem.
A heavy blood elf or forest troll raid for 12.0 might act as a buffer? But there likely to be two void raids in two Expansions
At this point I have full faith on Blizzard being able to bring variation to any theme and setting they choose. In fact, that's never really been issue with them. Outland was supposed to be just this demon-infested wasteland, yet every zone and raid almost completely different from each other. Northrend was supposed to be just frozen wasteland infested by creatures like nerubians and also full of undeads, yet once again, no two zones could really be confused with each other. Even Legion managed to bring insane amounts of variability to the whole Burning Legion theme between tomb and Argus. We got plenty of new and updated demon races and I loved the whole sci-fi aesthetic Argus had in towards its end.
And if there is too much purple stuff, they'll find a way to introduce that expansion's Nighthold. Scarlet Raid, maybe save the goblin raid for that expansion, Daddy Denathrius shows up to be a menace once again, or maybe we find out what demons have been doing now that they lost their main benefactor. Or if they're really out of ideas, maybe we get something more "artificial" like argent tournament in WotLK. For example, some mad scientist type character shows up and tries to weaponize obscure things form our past, things like Draenor's nature infection and Shadowland's stone carving and last expansion's shadowflame we get amalgamation of basically every expansion so far. There's plenty of possbilities and they have huge backlog of somewhat unresolved B plots they can return to if necessary.
They usually pretty good at balancing this.
So far that's happened, historically, only twice I believe. MoP into WoD and then of course the next two as you mentioned. But as far as the raids go, if the themes are too close they usually stick something different in there. Highmaul in WoD helped with the orc overload we'd been dealing with for over a year and a half by that point and then there was the aweful Emerald Nightmare raid. Hell even Nighthold did pretty good at keeping the legion aspects to a minimum.
So yeah I wouldn't stress it too much.
I think it will %100 be void themed, and Ethereal themed, I think Bellular is on the money it's Karesh. I didn't get tired of the fel theme for Legion, so I don't think I'll get tired of purple in Midnight. But, I have a feeling Midnight will be both void and light, and there will be a light themed raid %100 with Turalyon (especially if Alleria dies). I assume the final boss of Midnight will be Azshara, she deserves to be the big bad more than Xal'atath who is merely a harbinger of what's to come.

Oh, and there's also the "don't read my name" ones, but they don't show up as often as the other two.
Maybe the goblin stuff will be a Mechagon style patch...I can't imagine it being a main chunk of content

Argus being a patch was such an incredible disappointment. It deserved to be an expansion. Wild how we defeated the burning legion in one expansion considering how they r THE wow threat. Kuresh however would make a great patch zone. Its mostly destroyed etc.

We end the threat, start to celebrate, and then get back to Azeroth only to find out that the REAL battle against the void isn’t just underway, but we’ve already almost lost, enter Midnight

It doesnt make sense, how does a goblin raid lead into the final raid, being an ethereal raid. In Legion we had ToS that lead into Antorus, there has to be a plot thread that ties them together that makes sense. You can't just jump from one a goblin raid to another planet without anything tying the two together. If I had to guess, maybe the goblin raid is a megadungeon?
I often speculated that what if Karesh was indeed the planet that Sargarus cleaved in two? From the perspective of an ethereal living on the planet and a massive explosion erupts and your world is torn apart, but you don’t actually see Sargarus do it it does raise an eyebrow

Zones, characters, story, none of it matters to grow WoW. People dont come back for lore or zones that they were intrested in in the past, and they will most definetly wont attract new players.

I'm thinking either way the Ethereals will be involved either in War Within, Midnight, and potentially even Last Titan. Leaning the most on it being Midnight but absolutely down for K'aresh in War Within too!
With blizzards history of a new class every other expansion or so, this would also lead very well into an ethereal/void themed class in the prepatch of midnight.
Void Priest hero spec already accomplishes this.

Nah. The Emerald Dream stuff had way more info about when it would be in the expansions patch cycle and showed icons for things we would actually see, not just trinkets. K'aresh is probably the last patch of Midnight

I think a really cool plot point would be that old gods and their blood is the way dimensius can take physical form on Azeroth.
It would make sense IF they wanted to make Ethereals playable to do it in the void expansion by making those from fallen worlds aid us in trying to prevent it from happening again. If that's not the case I can't see it happening ever which is kinda sad, but understandable given they're just voidy bandages.
I've loved the Ethereals since BC, I think it's really cool to see a full zone of them and learn more about them. I read what they're doing with the raid, and I'm not exactly a fan of political agenda forced into video games. It will be funny seeing an anti-capitalism patch where you have to actually work to earn things, and vendors to buy things from, when the moral of the story is all about workers getting infinite money for doing less work, and the magic of how that means even higher profits. Maybe they'll just give everyone the gear without having to raid because having to earn anything is bad and everyone should just be given everything for free.
Honestly can't really wrap my head around there not being a raid for Beledar or the Cosmic Void-y Web thing. Seems like there's been a lot set up that hasn't had any payoff, for us to just fuck off to K'aresh will make this feel as rushed as BFA's three plotlines.
Well After legion, these three Xpack were next in line. Since the guy left/push out, Blizzard did their own thing and burn Wow how it is today. Now the story teller guy is back, he is going finish off the story he was telling since Legion.

The megadungeon its going to be about goblins, surely, the "goblin raid" stuff must be a placeholder cuz megadungeons are "small raids"....plus, very hard we take some goblin to be a extreme dangerous zone ending danger....well, they did sarkareth in a decent way so, we will see.

I truly believe we will start building forces throughout the whole cosmos and universe agaisnt the actual void, think abt it, the lore in this is ultimate, we delve deeper into lovecraftian horror i trulyyyyy love it, i have high hopes for this

I think that the last raid will definitely be the big crystal in Hallowfall, Beledar. I don't think it makes sense to create such an impressive structure to just have it as a questing prop for the leveling part.
The main idea was clearly to have a sun underground. That was the start of Beledar.

It makes sense honestly that we will probably go to K'aresh. It gives Blizzard an opportunity to show us "what happens when the void gets to your world's worldsoul" -- but since they don't want anything bad to happen to Azeroth, we would never get to experience a fully void-corrupted planet and how it all looks and feels and such without going to K'aresh, cuz they'd never let the same happen in the lore to Azeroth. She has massive plot armor, like Superman in every Superman story ever told...
All makes sense to me.
Until doomsday entered the lobby. Obviously blizzard wouldnt cut acces to all these years of work and content but just imagine after last titan, azroth is lost and players migrate to a whole different planet. Would be nuts

Ditto on hoping they change the naming practices. MoP would've been a fantastic story experience if they hadn't announced Garrosh as the final raid boss before the expansion even launched. It turned all the mystery and at the time unprecedented possibility into a mild game of spot the foreshadowing. Ditto here; I'd like to be surprised when they announce the final patch, and get to spend the expansion speculating on what it could be up until that point, instead of "all this stuff supports that datamining from a year ago".
Leaks kinda ruin the speculation fun in the game. And a lot of the time it turns what should have been fun story into what feels like a much longer cycle between story beats because we already know or strongly suspect months ahead of when we're supposed to where things are going. It's like being told the general outline of a story while it's still being written, but we still have to wait for it to finish being written before we can see the next thing - meaning we're in a perpetual cycle of seeing the half-finished story while we're playing through the finished story of stuff we already knew about a patch cycle ago.
Not sure but as far as I remember they didn't announced garrosh as last boss. Thats why so many back then went raging because it happened. But tbf not sure anymore so long ago :D
