Devon and levan are great together.
levan is such a good person,,,,, hard not to like him
As a super die hard Devon fan i actually disliked levan for years until the rematch was close. I became a levan fan prior to there rematch. I badly wanted devon to win ofc but i was amazed at levans versatility and table IQ. Im a big levan fan to this day.

@mikimiyazaki Funny clown,don't pretend you are a Devon fan,It's too obvious for you to use this method to smear Devon, it's a low-level trick.If you have eyes,you can clearly see Levan's body language whole video.Looking at the full time face and body orientation.he doesn't respect Devon at all.But Devon is completely the opposite.
You can tell Devon has really earned the respect of Levan. Clearly after seeing what Devon did to the rest of the field after Levan 1 leading up to Levan 2, it changed the way Levan thought about Devon. The difference in his attitude toward Devon now since then is palpable...
That’s definitely part of it. I also think the fact that Levan understands English more and knows how Devon trash talks for promotion reduced the connection barrier between those two.
I don't think Levan changed anything towards Devon. He wiped the floor with him twice, so what would change? What changed is Devon realized Levan is on a different level, so he dropped weight classes and ran to someone bigger to fight his fight.

Me too. I disliked levan forever, especially as a huge devon fan. However leading up to there rematch i became a huge fan of levan. I appreciated the mutual respect they had for each other. I could see a huge difference especially in levans attitude towards devon after devon cleared out the division. They are great together.
The section about John Brzenk gave me goosebumps. Levan *genuinely* finding it hard to believe that John's career is possible without weight training. John Brzenk is an alien!

The man is special alright..he did try weight training for a few months though..just didn't continue cuz it didn't translate to the table anywhere near as much as he'd have liked.. he's also eaten junk and been a booze bag for many years of his life.. imagine what he could have been if he had all the advantages that guys have today..
I really wished Devon's fairytale ascent to the top when he last pulled Levan came true. But I see now that this outcome might be even more beautiful: Levan has the deserved spotlight on him now and is immensely respectful to Devon and seems to want to take his legacy with him. Meanwhile Devon is getting healthy and puts less pressure on his body and mind, allowing the both of them to flourish in their own paths. It's a more wholesome and healthy outcome, and it took this interview for me to see that. Beautiful stuff!
