Here to answer some questions (spoiler-free) 1) In the fan book it was stated that Gyokko Vases are considered artistic and valuable. Those vases are usually sold in demand. That’s a high chance one of his vases was sold and ended in the sword smith village. That’s where he got his ‘intel’. Also with Gyokko ability to ‘jump’ and emerge from all his vases. This also allowed him to infiltrate just like what we saw the random vase in the middle of stairways. 2) Nezuko’s Blood Demon Art 🩸 has always been Exploding Blood. A common misconception was that she can heal people, but she can’t. Her’s an unique ability that burns at demon but not harm humans. We have already seen her burning blood in action many times. Her blood burning away Rui’s spider webs. Her blood burning away Enmu’s dream ropes. Her blood burning away Gyutaro Poison. 3) Love Hashira’s blade is based off a real sword - Urumi (Malayalam: uṟumi; Sinhalese: ethunu kaduwa; Hindi: āra) is a sword with a flexible, whip-like blade.
Sumiyoshi's memory of him holding his son while his wife rested include Yoriichi, he was thanking him for helping them or something, Carlie is totally right!
I think her sword is meant to be like a performance ribbon. That's why she does the aerials and they had the lighting at the ending of her move. It also keeps her a more innocent character.

The Urumi doesn't look like the sword Mitsuri uses and it's too thin, it's more likely that it's based on a ribbon than Urumi. Urumi doesn't even fight whatsoever like that. Basically the whole Urumi thing was just a coincidence. What he is saying is correct, Mitsuri simply uses a whip-like sword that she uses like a Ribbon.

I liked that they mention how Sanemi says he has no brothers. It's good for the plot because otherwise it would be very odd that the Hashira had so many problems with Nezuko when one of them got a demon, half-demon or whatever brother. I reckon if his own brother disowns him it's more believable that most of the demon slayer corps don't know about it. Still pretty hypocritical of Sanemi to go full psycho on Nezuko having a brother like that. Unless he tried to snuff him out too, which is very messed-up and possible.
Sanemi doesn't know about Genya having this state at all. Moreover, Sanemi will have the most wholesome moment with Nezuko. You'll go from being critical to absolutely loving Sanemi as the show progresses.
Just imagine how much of a real one that Yoriichi was. He's such a badass that even Muzan's blood, even inside his underlings can feel Muzan's fear of the man seeing a kid using the same fighting style.
Interesting fact: I've been looking up the meanings of each character's name, and I'm pretty sure the 'Sumi' in Sumiyoshi is Charcoal (family of charcoal makers)

Muchiro IS a direct desendant of the blood/family of the person who created Sun Breathing (although not specifically HIM). Their bloodline is just purely gifted, hence why he's a child prodigy. You'll see soon enough, Muchiro's power when he gets a mark. Tanjiro still isn't as strong, purely because he's still not as: experienced, talented and hasn't had the mark for more than a few seconds at a time, although SAYING this, he DOES practice the strongest breathing technique - Sun Breathing. Remember, all other techniques are slight variations of parts of Sun Breathing. Tanjiro on the other hand, is honing the original skills which ARE far more powerful than the others moves than the Hashiras use. You'll see in the end how strong he finally becomes ;)
Mitsuri's sword is based on the Urumi or Arara, a whip sword of the medieval south India during the Sangam age. Also Yoruichi must have put the fear of God into Muzan, because his very cells, which exists in all other demons, carry his PTSD which he got from fighting Yoruichi.

Other Anime: Protagonist inherited some genetic trait through bloodline and become the chosen one and save the world almost single-handedly Demon Slayer: Protagonist is not the chosen one or the offspring of the chosen one but he learned the techniques passed down, inherited the "ablazing heart" spirit, worked hard, fought with love and finally saved the world with all his family and friends together.
Interesting observation: Muichiro's first mist attack to Gyokko was shown in the S3 trailer [promotion reel]. Ufotable seemed to have a different design/look for his mist at first but its been altered in this episode. I love both designs but personally I prefer the trailer version.
Fun fact:- Mitsuri sword is based on Indian martial arts kalaripayettu the sword is called URUMI. Same type of sword was used by Peshwa Bajirao Indian ruler in his battles ( fought 41 battles and won all of them died at an early age ~40-42).
Has the author mentioned that the sword is based on the urumi though? I get that there are similarities, but Im not so sure if its based of it. The cane sword used in Bloodborne has the same design, where it becomes a whip when not a sword. It would be cool if there is a reference.

If I remember correctly, Nezuko didn't ignite Tanjiro's sword against Rui. She ignited the webs that Rui used. Tanjiro's sword was ignited from the Hinokami Kagura technique, it wasn't a pink color like Nezuko's blood art.
if you look closely in that episode she does both, mainly burning some of the webs away yes but there are some droplets of blood that end up on the sword
I’m pretty sure it was mentioned in the episode that a nichirin sword might only be able to turn red in battle. Tanjiros’ sword turned red with the help of Nezukos blood demon art. We don’t know the conditions which turned Yorichis sword bright red.

As a manga reader, it’s so fun watching this season cause there are things I completely forgot about, and seeing things animated versus how it was drawn is EONS better.
I'm afraid to say this because there is a ton of manga readers lurking in the shadows, waiting to answer with spoilers apparently, but I doubt Hantengu is dead. He can't go like this. I mean, the sendoff sure was visually stunning but it would be narratively disappointing and would make him look completely undeserving of the Upper 4 rank if all he did was mess around for a while, land some ultimately pretty harmless gusts of wind and lightning strikes and get killed by not even the Hashiras. Upper 5 is looking much scarier right now. And even 6 back then. I think and hope this is not the last we see from him but I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO CONFIRM OR DENY. Please?
For those of you who are curious about swords... The weapon Mitsuri uses is similar to a weapon called Urumi which is from a south Indian Martial art called Kalaripayattu, but there is no actual record of it being used for armed combat or battles and it's mostly used for demonstrations today. The way Mitsuri uses it however is very reminiscent on a Japanese weapon called the Kusari-Fundo which is a chain attached to a handle. This weapon has actual records of being used it battle by Shinobi (ninja) and Samurai..

As a manga reader, it’s so fun watching this season cause there are things I completely forgot about, and seeing things animated versus how it was drawn is EONS better.

I'm afraid to say this because there is a ton of manga readers lurking in the shadows, waiting to answer with spoilers apparently, but I doubt Hantengu is dead. He can't go like this. I mean, the sendoff sure was visually stunning but it would be narratively disappointing and would make him look completely undeserving of the Upper 4 rank if all he did was mess around for a while, land some ultimately pretty harmless gusts of wind and lightning strikes and get killed by not even the Hashiras. Upper 5 is looking much scarier right now. And even 6 back then. I think and hope this is not the last we see from him but I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO CONFIRM OR DENY. Please?

The weapon Mitsuri uses is similar to a weapon called Urumi which is from a south Indian Martial art called Kalaripayattu, but there is no actual record of it being used for armed combat or battles and it's mostly used for demonstrations today.
The way Mitsuri uses it however is very reminiscent on a Japanese weapon called the Kusari-Fundo which is a chain attached to a handle. This weapon has actual records of being used it battle by Shinobi (ninja) and Samurai..
