The/our original Old Stage Road used to border my property in East Tennessee and the original landowners on whose land our house was built, had a vast collection of balls and other game-related artifacts that were found on their farm. The name of the cave was rock house cave they actually had a thing on the news years ago, and in the newspaper about how Jesse James held up in that cave back in the day and stashed away money
One of my favorite finds was a fresh water pearl that had been drilled all the way thru but unfortunately it was broken in half the length of the drill hole. It was just a bit bigger than a quarter. It was still a fantastic find to me! I’m hooked on your videos. Many thanks for sharing with us!

@@365headhunter3 I guess not really. ill do some reading up on it. I like to hike and explore so while out I always look for artifacts. this summer ill read up and find a spot. any good reads you can suggest?
@@ericwebb7959 First you got to be in the right spot. Artifact collecting is illegal on state or federal land. Drive around and look for fields that have creeks or rivers in or beside them.. The waterways where in ancient times the equivalent of today road system the easiest way to travel. And also food and water supply. If that available any field will do just hunt the hilltops in the field. Look for low spots in the field where the soil is darker and hunt around those. The dark soil is where a swampy area was before a drain tile was put in so land could be farmed. Also a prehistoric source of food and water. And the sandyer than dirt the better. Easier on points when ground is plowed. Not as many heartbreakers. And lastly you have to walk slow and train your eyes what to look for. For that part just keep watching my channel. Cause I always so things how I find em stuck in or sitting on the dirt. Expect to do alot of walking. I hunt an excellent site and I average about a point an hour. And walk 15 miles in a day sometimes. I have a pedometer app on my phone. .✌
Also any significant finds that are broke mark with gps app on phone so you can return to that exact spot year after year and if you're lucky find the rest of it. Keep looking down and pound that ground!!! ✌
Is that game ball a stone? Or a clay ball? I have a white one maybe 90% that size. It is hard as a stone but it must be baked clay because it has nearly microscopic textile impressions in the surface. Like it was rolled inside a piece of fine cloth while the clay was still soft and then fired.
Killer game ball. The black material probably shined at one time. You got a mess of good ones. I don't know what that mystery flake is. Never seen anything like it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanx bub, that's twice now I stumped ya. LOL Probably just a tool that was needed at the time and just knapped it real quick out of a flake. @@365headhunter3 Thank you for the info. As a child in Lafayette I found a game stone slightly smaller than a golf ball all white, polished perfectly smooth and almost perfectly round.
