the west highlands is flat out the most beautiful place on the planet. Norway, South Island New Zealand, and Patagonia....all stunning but Scotland is on top of you one moment then opens right out to reveal vast expanses, then closes in on you again.
    Its like nowhere else.

Nice video. I bought a ticket for Edinburgh and ended up in Edinburgh, South Caroline. Delta Airlines said it was my own fault.

    Hello

As a well travelled Scotsman I often wondered why so many people said Scotland was so beautiful. Having been to the Rockies, the Himalayans the south of New Zealand all much more spectacular than Scotland. Then one day coming back from Glen Coe it struck me, the Scottish mountains were all rounded by the last ice age. The rounds shapes are feminine shapes, I saw the shape of a woman lying, held in the mountain shapes. I think Scotland is described as beautiful because of its famine shaped mountains... discuss !

I think your letting the side down how could you think that about Scotland. And it’s not only The highlands or Glencoe there’s plenty beautiful spots not to mention every island.

I dont understand your reference to sides, maybe you have some odd explanation. As a Scotsman having bagged many Munroes, walked hundreds of miles, camped on top of the second highest mountain and been to just about every part of Scotland as I have in other countries mountains, that overall experiance gave me the view that I expressed without thinking it was about sides or, even letting something down ! @@Parker_Douglas

@@Parker_Douglas I live in Australia now originally from Edinburgh, i have been to New Zealand The Rockies in Canada, not been to the Himalayan Mountains. My thoughts are Scotland wins by a mile because of the scenery, history and culture, so there you are janice we win.
