- Take a tour on our acre of land we've turned into a sustainable backyard farm. We produce 100% of our own eggs & milk, about 75% of our own meat, and roughly 50% of our own fruits & vegetables.
Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

No pigs! Welp you have your wish now! Its awesome to see how much has changed since this
That's why I'm here. I wonder if I'd love this lifestyle. Instead I work retail lay around, and live in big city.
When did the pig rule change? Great news!
I know so much has changed I love the channel I've been watching it for years now😍😍😍😍
Watching older vlogs and just amazed at how much the farm has changed over the last few years! Lots of goat changes and huge improvements with the goat areas!!
I can't believe how young Luna looks. and you love her!
OMG I totally LOL'd when you said how long have we had you Dora....we've had you as long as Lydia it just sounded funny LoL 🤣 😂🤣 😂🙂
With Luna you got the goofiest most adorable goat we all love to watch.....good buy!
It is so crazy to see the defference from then and 2020
Now July 2021
I just met lacey and tibia today. Sadly, I already missed them when I started watching your vlogs
Me too!
I cannot explain enough how inspired I have been by your channel and I just spent the last two days watching every single video.
You are literally living the dream life of most people!
Lots of love
Love that project. I used to live in the suburbs and we started adding some animals at my patent's house. We got sheep, goats, meat rabbits, pigs, geese, ducks, turkeys lots of chickens and even a cow, a donkey and a horse.
Your home/farm is beautiful. Thank you so much for 'keeping it real' complete with a stuck goat!! Life on the farm is always full of adventures ;) Love the videos and your genuine attitude.
Haha, thanks! I wondered if I should cut that out, then I realized yep, this is farm life!
Weed 'em & Reap You are hilarious! I love how down to earth you are. Don't ever edit out the real life stuff. It's what makes people relatable.
This is LIFE!
I built my wife's milking station waist high, so no one has to bend over to milk, the goats took a little while to get used to it but now they jump right up no problem
Just watching from 2024. 🥰 You encouraged me to get goats on our almost acre property. I love seeing the development through the years.
Can you tell me what happened to tibia the Nubian goat
I don't know
What a great intro and lovely video. This is competely approachable and makes me feel like I could do the same one day. Please keep making videos! Here are some others that I would love to see.
- Spouting grains
- Making donuts!
- Purchasing goats
- Raising chickens and the cost of feed
- Urban gardening for beginners
Questions for your next Sunday Q&A:
1. Is your husband on board with your homesteading and how does he help around the homestead?
2. What do you do with your leftover goats milk? I couldn't imagine that you go through 2 gallons a day!
Thanks for the ideas!
I enjoyed your tour. Subbed. Thanks or sharing.
Live before pond, yeal, I see a big pond in your future.
Loved this, Its hilarious that you can hear your camera zoom and the change of the exposure!
Loved watching this and seeing/hearing the difference from then to now. 🥰
What became of Tibia and Lacy goats ? Noted that Luna is still around. And she is walking around really good at her young age.
I am actually glad you have a meat goat. Because he will have a good life with love. Instead of buying meat at a store where the animals aren't having a good life with love and attention. I love goats a lot. I want one one day. I also want a cat and a Australian shepherd dog
Then my life's complete hahaha jk. Loved the video.
KatieTheUnicorn97 I can vouch that the Australian shepherd dogs are the best!
Savannah Latham
I have wanted one my whole life. Do you have one?
KatieTheUnicorn97 yes I do and he is my friend, emotional support animal, and an all around cuddle bug! He is actually a mix of Australian shepherd and border collie. But he is mostly Aussie, tricolor. I highly recommend them but they do have a TON of energy and like to run and play! But that just makes it more fun! 😊😄
Savannah Latham
Cool. I know that they are super hyper dogs and that is the main reason I couldn't have one when I was younger but if I ever move to a lot of land or a farm I hope to get one.
Australian Shepherd are my favorite!!!
What happened to Tibia, Lacey, and Lily?
Yeah I'm wondering the same thing...
they probably all are really old now/dead 😢 or they went to a new farm
Farva is an awesome character from super troopers movie. The previous owner had a sence of humor!
Thanks!
I bet im the only one here in 2020
Also wow its changed so much
I am
Poop free zone. Love it.
Looks like such a fun place! My family and I just moved to a farm and we love it! Farm life is the best. Thanks so much for sharing!
I have one bird two horses and three cows and twenty five chickens and two dogs a ginnie pig and one puppy and two heamit crabs and have twenty acres!
Who else just found this channel weeks ago and wanted to go back
Wow the farm has changed a lot!
With all that poop - You should build a methane digestor. Cook for free!
Wow, blast from the past! Luna looks so small next to Tibia. 😁😁
I have been binge rewatching your vidoes .. unfortunately i never watched this one but now i have ....i love how much has changed from luna to penny to willow to winnie .. and pigs and alot moree...
Tibia! What a great name. Luna could have been Fibula. That'd be great since she's the smaller one.
Love seeming how far ye have come love starting from the beginning 🥰 and pigs pigs pigs pigs 😂😂
I bought 2 goats 1 is my bottle baby Swiss oberhasli doe she is now 11 months and 2 months bred she was a cheap buy as i didn't want the registration for her but she came from a set of twins and an award winning mother her mother also gave about 1 1/2 gallons at her peak and very creamy milk.
My buck that i have now is 2 months younger then she is and he is from a set of triplets his mothers mother had a set of 4 babies her first litter. He is a cross of Toggenburge/Oberhasli buck very sweet but sometimes he doesn't want nothing to do with me lol.
My 3rd doe is a pure bred Boer doe She was the runt of the group well i wouldn't say that she just had to fight for her food with 20 other goats in the field and she wasn't so she didn't get any food barely and well she has now gained weight and has gotten bigger then she was so i wouldn't say she was the runt just not fed properly and not growing like she should. well now she is has gotten big her dad was very stocky boy.
cool treehouse
Thanks! It's quite a project that we keep trying to improve.
Hahaha she is exited about the buck. She just doesn't want to show it
Your property is huge! Lucky you... :) Looking forward to more videos :)
Itś crazy how much the farm has grown as well as your video quality !
Great video.. I'm glad you said what state you're in ...much ppl giving "tours" seem like they are trying to hide their location
And lily is just so adorable she's so cute

Goat is really really yummy! It's ashame really that more people don't know that, i think it tasts a lot better than lamb.
Just came across your channel, we're in arizona about to purchase 1.4 acres. This is amazing!
The box with FARVA on the front could have been put there for stray animals, doesn't look like someone would just leave it
Dora is adorable! 😍
Awww Dora looks so... small? Or young? Also, what happened to Lilly?
very nice back yard farm
You make me wanna watch more :)
Thanks
PS- Gilbert zoning allows for pot belly pigs because they consider them exotic pets :)
If you are wanting a high milker you need to get a Saanen ... If you are wanting good sweet milk i personally think Tags have the best milk... It is very sweet like butter milk
Are lacey and Doris related ?
I have a 6 acer farm and did a farm tour and im going to make another updated one in a couple of weeks, so plz come check it out
Just found your channel. Thanks for the tour.
Welcome!
I'm guessing that used to be a dog house and the dogs name was Farva, I don't know, just a guess
Pele
Wow luna so young and beautiful.
So lucky
I'm watching older vlogs with Penny in them cuz I'm dying of Sadness
Me too!!!
My backyard is 1/5 of yours, I hope we can have as many animals as you.
Omg I just watched a video that u made and this one is from 4 years ago
This is heaven :-) . God bless you
I love your farm tour! I would love to know how you found your 4H group! I'm in Gilbert and I grew up with 4H and want to get my kiddos active in the club :).
A PUMELO!!! OHHH you're so lucky!!! I always look for them at the nursery with no such luck!
Oh the meat goat...LOL, I have to tell you, I grew up on a little Gilbert farm just like you have and my parents raised our own meat too. I've been a vegetarian since 5th grade when I finally convinced my family I was NOT eating another one of my pets hahaha. :)
I'd love if you can send me the 4H scoop :)
Just found your site...you guys are cool! Very entertaining and honest videos. You def need more acreage so you can expand your farm even more. Keep up the good work!
Welcome!
Did Lily the dog die ?
Farva...Is from a character in a movie named Super Troopers...Rated R....just so you know. I love your back yard farm...I want one so bad but because of some restrictions in my neighborhood no livestock or poultry...although I did get 3 hens this past April...so far so good.
I live in Arizona
NICE . saving this video .
I want this life love goats :)
Just a question. Why would you name someone, fall in love with him, then kill him? Doesn't make much since to me.
All Animals Here I think that is so very horrible! I would never have animals to kill and eat! To each his own.
