The idea that Fury underestimated Usyk is just laughable. I might believe it if Fury took the fight without a second thought, except he didn’t - he stalled, he whinged, he constantly changed the goalposts and he delayed the fight by two years. Until he was virtually cornered into fighting Usyk by the Saudis and the public pressure. He knew EXACTLY what he was up against. And with the Ngannou fight straight into two back to back training camps, coming in his lightest weight for five years… clearly took it seriously. Amateur analysis again from Spence I’m afraid.
Fury had two camps for this fight. Regardless of the cut and the sparring claims. He was as fit as ever in this fight and threw around 100 more punches than he has in any other 12 round fight of his. He looked in great shape and he went 12 rounds and shifted some serious punishment. He was in great shape, Usyk was simply better.
In theory he did, but its such an unusual style Usyk has that there is no substitute for being in with him for 12 rounds. Joshua did better in the rematch and we know Joshua has a limited repertoire. Fury has more to draw on and has to be expected to do much better in the rematch.
@@henryb1555he was it Fitness shape not fighting shape. Exactly, threw 100 punches more despite limited to no sparring. Don’t be shocked when fury shows the levels tonight and dominates

100%. Eddie Earns is DESPERATE for Fury to win to make the AJ fight at Wembley. I want Usyk to win, but I have a feeling if this goes to points we are going to get a controversial decision in Fury's favour.
Fury has been Most favoured and Protected boxer EVER! Plus with all the media boxing channels with total bais and the fury narrative..just sickening and corupt...
He was not given time to recover the ref was seeing whether to stop it or not. The referee is there to make sure no one gets killed by getting hit while they are unable to protect themselves. Ref in Joshua vs Ruiz gave AJ longer than than Fury got, and at the end of the time ruled a TKO.
Fury lost to Ngannou, saying that he then goes on to underestimate Usyk is such a braindead take. You don't lose to an mma fighter and then underestimate an all time great, he knows Usyk is better than him.
With where Fury was on the ropes had the ref allowed it to continue Usyk would have had an open shot on Furys head. No defence left at that point and 1 more punch or combo and the fight would have been stopped... allowing it to be called a knock down (that late in the round) gave Fury the opportunity to recover.
Fury is in much more danger against Usyk than let’s say Wilder. Wilder had 1 punch power which put fury over, but he always got up, and had the benefit of a count as well. Against Usyk he CAN be seriously hurt by VOLUME of hard shots- not one of them hard enough alone to deck fury but Fury is NOT getting the benefit of a COUNT between each punch- he’s being hit with shot after shot after shot and THATS how you stop Tyson Fury. Ali did this loads of times. Usyk knows this too- but he’s not telling anyone that secret. 👍🇬🇧
@TheGreatest1974 100% agree. Just look at Haye Vs Bellew compared to Usyk. Haye landed some okay shots with far more power... But Usyk kept landing and led to one of the most brutal knockouts I've seen. Usyk catches Fury right time of the round and I see the same happening
You mean the round 9 8 count? There is a lot of debate there as some felt Fury should have been counted out but the ref did appear to save Fury or protect him from more punishment by delay tacttics. But the fight went on and many are glad it did as in all the last 3 rounds were excellent too and it helped make for a spectacular fight and vindicated the ref to some degree.
@@dondappapumpumslappa8051it's really funny when someone like you tries to be intelligent. Listen dozy....there was no 10 count in the fight we are talking about there was an 8 count. And when you develop the mind power to pay attention you might hear that certain view points (not that I said it) they saw the ref allow a further 9 seconds beyond the 8 count to allow Fury to the end of the round. So next time you offer your "learned view" ..learn what happened, learn what has been said ..think then try to write something sensible. Hey?

6:17 for round 9 chat. Whether Simon agrees with what the ref did or not the rules are simple and available for everyone to read. The ref deemed that the ropes were all that were keeping Fury up so he scored it a knockdown. That merited a Mandatory Eight Count during which the ref evaluated Fury and deemed he was fit to continue. Whether people like it or not…that’s what happened as per the rules. What the ref did was perfectly fine although it would have been interesting for Usyk to have landed that cocked left first.
The idea that Fury might be / should be in the conversation for the best heavyweight ever is beyond laughable... And I'll say that even if he beats Usyk tonight and maybe AJ next.
Said it for years fury is an overrated hypejob take away his sheer size and mediocre opponents and he's bang average as usyk showed and will show again
Casual Simon doesn't understand the rules of boxing. In fact the ref should have stepped in and giving Fury a count after the first punch, as the ropes kept him up on that one.
Look at the fights the two have both had in the last 3 years? Fury v Whyte (w) Fury v Chisora 3 (w) Fury v Ngannou (w?) Fury v Usyk (L) Now Usyk Usyk v Chisora (w) Usyk v Dubois (w) Usyk v Joshua (w) Usyk v Joshua 2 (w) Usyk v Fury (W) The difference in class of opponents is astounding. Usyk has beaten THREE world champions in his last 3 years. Fury fought Whyte, Chisora, Ngannou and then Usyk who beat him.
Usyk is FAR more dangerous puncher than Deontay Wilder. Fury got put down with 1 punch each time but he had the benefit of a count as well. Against Usyk, usyk CAN hit pretty hard but he hits Fury a LOT with hard punches, and Fury HAS to take every punch because he’s NOT going down. So he ends up being absolutely pummelled while still on his feet? The ref MUST stop the fight if Fury is taking shots and not defending himself. If only Fury had stayed ON his feet against the ropes, there would have been NO COUNT but a direct tko stoppage. THATS how you stop tyson Fury. And Ali used this technique to ko loads of guys. Usyk knows this. I believe Usyk will try and stop Fury by hurting him first with a cracking shot, then swarming him until he’s defenceless. Around the 7-8 round mark he will really step on the gas.
I used to like and enjoy watching and listening to Simon Jordan however now I can’t stand him. He just has his opinion and then spends every minute of every day finding other people that agree with him or calling people idiots that don’t agree with him or try and get them to agree he is right. The ref did not prevent fury from being KO at all!!!! All that would have happened is fury would have eventually hit the canvas if the ref didn’t step in. He would have got up and got an 8 count (which he did anyway) and then the round ended. Nothing would have changed. In sorry but I disagree with Simon on this and he’s been banging on about this for weeks now it’s boring
A referee is allowed to stop fight without touching the canvas, & a standing 8 can be applied. But why? Fury was about to get knocked out bye Usyk, a KO in the 9th rnd was saved bye yet another referee. Fury saying he took his best?, no the best punch was the next one, It would've put him to sleep KOd him, Fury was out on his feet, but referee gate stepped in. Fury credits himself for that. It was too big a fight to stop it but it regardless it should have waved off. WBC franchise title holder got help from referee & still lost the fight convincingly
