Originally i didn't want to do this challenge because i felt it would be too easy but you guys were asking for this for a while now so today i finally beat Halo CE with only the plasma pistol. Of course this gun is an all around beast, unlike the Halo 4 variant so it's effective against every enemy. The one downfall is time to kill in close quarters because the elites will usually end up trading a few health bars before they go down.
The challenge had parts that were super easy with only the plasma pistol and other parts were so hard that i wanted to punch my monitor so i would definitely recommend any Halo lover to give this challenge a go. CE's plasma pistol is surprisingly underrated. Only game where it does overcharge damage, and it has a decent time to kill against the covies.

I personaly always beat legendary with both human and plasma pistols. Easily the 2 best gun in halo 1.

@@Blama_ I presume it was a move done to solidify its role as a support weapon rather than a lethal one. But yes, it does no overcharge damage beyond shield stripping in Halo 2 and beyond. Even though I swear jackals can still hurt you with it in Halo Reach

The Canon lore supports that. Plasma Pistols in the lore are capable of killing unshielded Spartans pretty easily, regular Marines like a hot knife through warm butter.

Unironically beat most of Halo CE as a kid with the plasma pistol magnum combo. it's so strong for most things.

I miss halo ce’s plasma pistol, whenever I play any other halo, I wish it had ce’s plasma pistol,
Halo CE's weapons are balanced moreso for the Campaign, because the multiplayer was a secondary focus. All the weapons feel that way too which is why weapons that are next to useless in later games feel and work better in Halo CE. Later games had to balance the weapons for Multiplayer as a major focus so weapon functionality in campaign ended up suffering also leads to campaign scenarios where enemies with rather overpowered weapons show up when you don't really have a comparable toy for the party, I think Reach did that a couple times and made it work to the story's advantage but when it happens in like Halo 4 it's just crippling especially when you run completely out of ammo taking out one wave of Prometheans.

When it comes to the covenant, all you need is a sniper for long range, and a plasma pistol for everything else
I pretty much only use this gun whenever I play CE
You have a steady view count you do this a little longer and you'll get big
On legendary the plasma pistol is the only thing you can use so this isn’t a challenge

Have been using the plasma pistol a lot when plyaing this game on PC. It's quite accurate, does decent damage, has a ton of ammo and one finds a new one pretty much anywhere.
In my opinion it's a bit OP on PC. I guess it was balanced for the Xbox, and it's a lot harder to spam the plasma pistol with a controller than with a mouse.
There's just no cap on its firerate. Later games would cap it based on how fast your character could actually squeeze the trigger.

The Plasma Pistol is clearly inspired by the pistol from Genesis Climber MOSPEADA. The EVA and Pilot helmets are also major nods to that anime.

I'm still working on my CE legendary playthrough, but this is basically how I beat Reach lmao. I kept running out of ammo for everything else, but plasma pistols were very plentiful 😅😅😅

I abuse the shit out of the plasma pistol every time I play CE. It works great against both the covenant and the flood. That unlimited fire rate *chefs kiss" just when it comes to the club always expect them to get up at least once if you're using a plasma pistol. But there is an over abundance of ammunition for it and it changes things on pretty much every difficulty

@@rocambasco5292 I felt like it did more damage and sounded like a silenced pistol. But we can both agree that 2 and 3 plasma pistol was asscheeks. 5 was cool because you zoom in on it and hit enemies pretty far away. Infinite is a blend of 5 and 3.

@@aaronluna4341 lolz thanks mang and honestly i never really use the plasma pistol in 3 since the sandbox is so big but in 2 i use it a lot in legendary for noob combo but i do remember the damage is horrible against unarmored unenemies. Halo 4 plasma pistol sounds cool but it didn't feel like it was shooting plasma and it only has a maximum of 50 shots whereas 1, 2, 3, Reach and 5 had anywhere between 300 to 500 shots. Infinite plasma pistol sucks because it only has 100 but worse than that it does the lowest damage of any plasma pistol variant and it can't even EMP. Total dogshiza my dood

If you're on controller you can kind of "Fan the Hammer" with the Plasma Pistol using the base of your middle finger and a shaking motion in your wrist while letting Aim Assist do the aiming for you. Makes the Rate of Fire on the Plasma Pistol faster than the Plasma Rifle, and as an added bonus has... other uses outside of Halo.
You should make playlists like a halo playlist
