Another simply awesome video, Karen - thank you so much! Your ability to put yourself and your instructions across to all of us is so easy and seamless. I just feel as if I'm watching my lifelong friend Karen showing me what her latest project has been and how she's gone about completing it and as we "talk" she's giving me encouragement and ideas about how I can complete my creation. I just guess I'm trying to say that your videos and chats are so refreshing and fun and I've learned so much along the way. I particularly enjoyed participating in the sewing room cleanout challenge at the beginning of the year and now you've given so many cool ideas for all of the scraps acquired during a project. I hope it's okay with you that I consider you a friend of mine!

One of the great things about it is that, if you don't finish all 100 blocks the first year, you can jump back in the next year. They do, however, change the pattern after several years. I think the present one has run for three years and there will be a new pattern for 2023.

Karen I love your 100 block/ 100 day quilt front and back, your choice of fabrics & colours great. Piecing the back I think is a great idea, I’m a fairly new quilter and I have backed pieced at least four of my nine quilts. My reasons are for being frugal and using up those fabric collections. I’m currently just started my first ever 100 block/100 day quilt. Considering I just started this past Sunday I have 20 done, 80 to go. Using my leftovers of Tilda and a few different odd and ends. Love your quilt and thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊

It is so perfect! Actually I can't anymore imagine a quilt with out an after quilt... I'm still working on my third quilting jury.. first was a pillowcase second a small quilt for my nephew.. this third is for me... but when i finished a front (it is your first Stash Buster)... i didn't want a simple back... i ended make a kind of a Jelly Roll Race.. that i made in blocks... turning them around... now it is to small so i will need some sashing... :D it is a live mess now... but i enjoy the process... once it may become a quilt hahaha...
Anyway, thank you for the motivation and inspiration to start on this jury! :*

It was just a few years ago that the local long armers near me all said we could not have after quilts because they were too difficult to needle thru that many layers, so disappointing. So I gave up. Then thanks to you I decided to ask my new long arm quilter if she could do it. She said "of course, this is not hand quilting, these machines are made for that". I was so excited. If not for you Karen I would never have asked. A delayed joy of after quilts has been awakened. Thank you.

Love your after quilt! It turned out great, my (young adult) kids love the pieces backing idea! I've not been at this that long, but most of my quilts have "after quilts!" Thank you for your inspiration! Enjoy your trip!

Really enjoyed watching the process for your "after quilt". Pieced backing videos are often neglected and more and more I'm wanting a pieced back or after quilt so thank you and more please as your instructions and guidance are much appreciated. Also more information about your labels and your process please. Thanks

Hi, I am going to start my quilting journey as soon as I get back Home to Florida. I have a Singer…bought at Walmart on night when my VERY old Singer died on me and I was told that they could bot repair it……it had made all my curtains and kid clothes as well as some of mine for over 30 yrs. I am thinking of perhaps buying a new or good used one better than what I have and friendly to quilting. I have a lot of respect and admiration for what you do and the money saving tips you hand out so freely make life a little easier. I was looking at BabyLok and would like your opinion on a good sewing machine that I would not have to break the bank buying as I am not a youngster either and on a fixed income,,,,,it would have to be well under 1K. Thank you so much.
