    Title: Generalized Soliton Gas Dynamics
Event: (PDWW01) Frontiers of Dispersive Hydrodynamics
Abstract: In this talk we will discuss a model of soliton gas realizations known as primitive potentials. The family of primitive potentials was first introduced in [1] as a model of a soliton gas for the KdV equation. In this talk we will first review previous work [2], [3] in which we prove that suitably scaled multi-soliton solutions do converge to primitive potentials in the many-soliton limit. This approach, however, can only captures a subset of the family of primitive potentials and results in interesting but specialized gas dynamics. Our recent results, using a new approach, can realize the full family of primitive potentials. We will then discuss the resulting far-field (|x|, t ≫ 1) dynamics of general primitive potentials and how they interact with radiation.
