  • Thank you to Thread Tank for sponsoring today's 16 week pregnancy update. As I look back on the last 4 weeks of pregnancy, I discuss how I managed to wean off of Diclegis, what has been my biggest symptom, and how I'm worried there might be something wrong with the baby.

Remember each pregnancy is different. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and it’s so different from my first. I didn’t feel baby move til 18 weeks. The Doppler kept my mind at peace. Use it to help you. Good luck mama ❤️🥰

Thank you for being real! I gain all over when I’m pregnant and I’ve been struggling lately with how I look. I’m 31 weeks and feel huge! It’s my last and you’ve reminded me to just enjoy everything my body is doing. 💙

It’s so nice to watch your updates right along with my pregnancy (I’m about to hit 26 weeks in my first pregnancy). I shared a lot of the same feelings of anxiety during the 15-18 week time period because I didn’t “feel pregnant” once MY nausea went away, too! But now there’s no forgetting it and I’m just grateful for each day as it comes! 💕

I needed your real talk today. I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and feeling whale-tastic, FAR sooner than with baby #1, and I BALLOON up. I went to Target the other day to just get out and find some comfortable maternity clothing to make me feel better, and the trip quickly turned short and ended up with me crying in my car. Seeing all these adorable, petite women with their perfectly shaped bumps running around in shorts while I can’t even fit my swollen feet into my sandals already 😳 It was a low confidence moment for sure. But these are our miracles and every ounce of it is beautiful ❤️

I felt my third at 11 weeks 😳 I thought I was losing my mind but nope, she was just a wild one! 🤣 all three were trying to rearrange my organs on the regular by about 15/17 weeks. This baby may just be a calm little bub and enjoying the perfect home you’re providing. I do know with my third, she was fairly calm a lot of the time while pregnant because I was constantly on my feet and talking to everyone, kids being loud, and babies are so soothed by it. Your little one is probably just enjoying it all ❤️

As of this moment I am 16w6d and am just happy to hear your thoughts because you basically took the words from my mouth. I felt my baby in the morning heat and there for a about two weeks prior to week 16 and now nothing. I made my doctor see me for reassurance. I’m in NY and we are very much still on quarantine and minimal prenatal visits. This is baby #2 for us. I got to hear the heartbeat and just cried. I hope you get some relief from your mind soon and start feeling that baby. Congratulations! Also new here and excited to follow your pregnancy alongside mine.

You are describing me and how I feel at this moment. My first pregnancy I was so sick, I had tenderness and I felt him move at 16 weeks. My second pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy and I had to have surgery to remove a tube. This time i barely had nausea and no tenderness. My only symptom was being tired. I constantly worry that something is wrong or that I’m going to lose this little one too. I hope you feel baby move soon to relive some of your anxiety. 🤞🏼by 17 weeks I’ll be feeling our little bear move.

I love you ❤️ a lot of what you say about pregnancy just resonates so strongly with me. I absolutely loved being pregnant too. Feeling your baby inside your belly is so magical. I gained a lot from head to toe with my pregnancy. I went through a midwife, and she was like, you're fine don't worry, mommies are soft. Doctors are a bit more strict with guidelines. Filling your body up with clean nutrients is what matters most. Wishing you and your family all the best.
P.s. my 15 month old boy LOVES Cooper and Willa. He will literally stop whatever he's doing to see them 😂

    • @paris61795
      @paris61795 4 года назад

Yes, that is an old wives tale. Women who have heartburn while pregnant is usually because of the baby getting bigger and squishing your enternal organs up. Your stomach is pushed up causing the gastric juices to be pushed up into your esophagus.

A tip for heartburn that I got from another momma was to use the YL Digize oil for heartburn and it helped sooo much. Just one little drop right on my throat was all that was needed. Of course I checked with my doctor and he was completely ok with using the oil. I had an anterior placenta with my last pregnancy which was a third for me as well. I didn’t feel her truly move until almost 20 weeks. I totally get your anxiety.

People and Dr’s telling me not to stress about not feeling the baby... I wanted to punch them! It doesn’t help at all to tell a momma that! That’s why I was also desperate to get my hands on a fetal Doppler and it helped me through until now! I felt some movement starting at 14ish weeks and now I’m 22w3d with an anterior placenta and now I’m feeling the rolls and the flutters have turned into thumps and bumps! But when I don’t feel anything for a day or so I pull out that Doppler and find a heart beat and I’m ok after that! This is my 1st baby and have no idea what to expect!!!
Watching you and other and the other mommas in the comments help me out and let me know that I’m not alone!! 😭

I'm 24 weeks pregnant (5th pregnancy, 4th baby) and all I could say was meeeee tooooo!!??
It was so confusing. Then I went to my anatomy scan at 21 weeks and found out I have an anterior placenta (it's located in the front instead of the back) and that's why!
Now baby is bigger and I can feel her in the sides and deep down low but not directly in front. Though she's had a bit of a growth spurt and now I can feel some around by belly button. So! Maybe that's why for you? Who knows! But I can totally relate a few weeks ago.

I didn't know until my 15+6 elective ultrasound that I had an anterior placenta. The tech said that meant I likely wouldn't feel the baby till closer to 20 weeks and it would still probably be less than I felt my first for a while. I'm 16+5 today and still haven't felt him at all.

I’m in my second trimester I’m 17 weeks today and I’ve been feeling the same way you have. I’ve just been worried cause I don’t feel like I am pregnant now that i am in the second trimester and I’m like that in between my appointments since they are so far apart right now and I’ve just been so worried that something might be wrong I’ve felt that quickening or flutter once but haven’t felt it again. So it just has me so worried plus at my last appointment they weighed me and I lost weight and I haven’t really been gaining at all so that also worries me since I get so full easier and quicker and they say your appetite is supposed to increase in this trimester and mine hardly has increased.

I had anterior placenta w my second and it was a little longer to feel him although he was a mover( just like my first one was) it took longer to feel because they said it's like a shock absorber when its anterior so maybe that's why. I was concerned and asked and that's when they told my placenta in front not behind but it was still completely fine just meant I may not feel as much bit as he grew I still had bouncing belly so I'm glad I had shock absorber couldnt imagine myself without it

With my 5th I felt flutters from 11 to 14 weeks. After that nothing. Turns out I had an anterior placenta.

Find out if you have an anterior placenta, could totally explain the symptoms. I don't feel kicks I feel the rolling. Found out I have an anterior placenta. My husband CAN feel the baby, just not really well. I'm 20 weeks 4 days. Everything your saying sounds like me. I bet you have an anterior placenta. If you find out, let us know!

Lex, I’m sure baby bear is just fine and you’ll feel movement soon! When is your next Dr.’s appointment/ultrasound? Seeing baby bear on the ultrasound should ease your worries a lot, so hopefully you’ll be able to go soon. I really have a feeling baby bear is a boy! Either way, it will be a gorgeous baby. I mean, come on... just look at Cooper & Willa 💙❤️ You & Dan make beautiful babies 💙❤️

With my last pregnancy which was my first pregnancy I went from 113 pounds (which is very under weight for me) to 156 pounds a couple days before I had my daughter. My doctor was never concerned with the amount of weight I gain but this time around my doctor is telling me to watch my carbs and calories now because in march I was 127 pounds and my last appt which was on the 16th of May i was 24 weeks at that appt i weighed 145 pounds 😭. I'm sorta self conscious about it but at the same time I dont see where any of that weight gain is other then a little in my butt and thighs and my baby bump. I'm tummy is huge this time but I really feel like it's all baby

I am currently 16w2day with my 2nd today and started feeling what feels like tickling sensation/butterflies; like something swimming inside my stomach 😂. I had the same with my 1st but didn’t feel “kick, kick” until 22.5 wks/ ob said I have a tilted uterus. I am however still fatigued, nauseated and feels like I just have a hangover all day 🤮, same thing with my 1st till I was about 19 weeks.

I had shortened cervix with my second. At 23 weeks ended up getting shots to develop lungs. Ended up going until 38 weeks

Had the same thing happen to me I’m 18 weeks now and feeling way more movement. However, the last three weeks I didn’t feel as much movement as I’d like and freaked myself out a bit. I think the baby was just hanging out behind my fat lol.

I had awful, awful heartburn. My daughter was born COVERED in hair. Everywhere. Poor girl is going to be asking to wax at a young age. But I also had an anterior placenta with her and didn’t feel her move until 25 weeks. That was a brutal wait.

maybe your placenta is on top of your belly That's what happened to me I did not feel the baby until I was 20 weeks I felt flutters but no actual movement until then

With my pregnancies I always just felt like I looked fat and would always cover everything in the extreme. Looking back I wish I had enjoyed them more and worried less about what I looked like or what I felt like I looked like. My first baby sat on her rear and faced my back so I never really felt her. I thought that was normal. My other pregnancies I felt them around 18 weeks and they moved all over the place. We called the 3rd one "alien" baby because she looked like she was going to push her way out! 🤣

No worries!!maybe your placenta is in the front part of your belly so you will feel the baby a bit later....big fan here!!!🌷

Why don’t you wait a little and if you continue feeling like this you can ask for a check up with a doctor... right? Or use your Doppler to listen to the heartbeat, and push the fear away until you feel it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ wish you the best 😊!
