    ABOUT:
Hi! I’m Valeria and I’m an expat in Italy. I’ve moved here (almost) on a whim when my plans in Paris got ruined - without speaking the language and totally unprepared, but pretty sure this is gonna be an adventure of a lifetime! Moving to Italy has definitely had its ups and downs, but I love discovering Italian culture, Italian people and, of course, Italian food. Here I post regular travel vlogs, tips on expat life, moving to Italy, personal growth and self-esteem as an expat woman living abroad.

We went to Verona in July but didn’t have enough time to cross the river because there is so much to see. It is a beautiful city and I would love to live there! Grazie da Texas!

Italians really really HATE to lose any of their history. lol
I agree about the Verona Arena, but it's still pretty great to experience an Opera there ... 9 years from now it will celebrate it's 2000th birthday.

I agree - it's still a fantastic experience, but it's good to know there are alternatives, too :D

One of the best things of visiting Europe, I think, is just wondering around with no specific plans; this way you can find some hidden gems or places you don't expect to find.

Another place to visit, close to the city center is San Zeno church.
    Beautiful yet not so crowded.

😂 Juliet is a character. Fiction. Verona is much much more that that fantastic story written by Shakespeare. Saying that I enjoyed visiting all places even Juliet’s house knowing that she is fictional though

Believe it or not, until very few years ago there has never been any cicada in North Italy, let alone in places far from the coast like Verona.
That's an unequivocal sign of global warming, I guess.
Since you've been in Italy for six years now, I'm pretty sure you've notice that too.
