The flying flamer is amazing. Flamers usually suck because one struggles to keep them "singing". Them beeing able to fly adds a lot of flexibility and allow insane damage. I think at least 2 of them are autoinclude now.
I mean i hate to spoil your fun, but imagine a 3k hp unit with mediocre armor and low range going up against basic archers. They are gonna get shredded when fighting a tier 1 unit, but they themselves are tier 4.
Chais lord of tzeench should get a trait when they ascend thatmassively boosts their barrier and melee attack, so that there is a reason to ascend them over a sorcerer lord - melee caster lord vs mostly pure caster lord
sadly all content creators compare the price to the DLC as a whole to ask for worthiness. A lot of people are not content creators or fanbois (who will buy any content anyways) and they are forced to buy a DLC with, in worst case, 2 factions they don't wanna play or are not interested in. That will be the main problem if CA continues to make 3-faction DLC's. Thankfully, this video mentioned, instead of other yt vids, that the "new content" is just worthless content for the game sake. no one is recognizing this and patheticly, the community riot about the price is magically solved with some reskinned content. For what we as a community accomplished the last months, i am ashamed now of those followers who turn their review to positive after such simple marketing trick.
I mean they got new and unique abilities, they just aren't interesting or particularly useful. I think they should add skills or traits that are the same as what High elf lords and heroes get, which give you more options when it comes to building you armies, so you don't build just one type of army but want to diversify them and have them all be viable.
Changebringers are really good, you need to use them more. I put them in every army. Centigors are great, especially against strong monstruous infantry with high armour. I destroy kroxigors and horned one riders with Centigors. Also, i got this DLC from a friend, so it was 'free' Btw, i agree that the Tzeentchian Lord and Exalted Hero are disappointing. The other lord and hero got special skills, but these dudes didn't. And yeah, Cathay got a lot of fluff with 2 new redundant units and kislev too with the Warriors. Overall it is a kind of disappointing addition.
I look forward to still not buying this DLC. I think the factions and races themselves aren't that interesting as they are and this dlc before and after the additions still don't make them anymore attractive. I really hope Thrones of Decay actually adds something to the factions they extend, particularly the older ones from earlier games because god knows they need some attention either in units or game mechanics.
I am honestly both looking forward to the release of Thrones of Decay and dreading it at the same time. Because if the updates are the same quality we got with the Shadows of Change then I will really be at a loss for words.
@@CultistOfkhorne I agree, I think this next dlc will be a make or break for many people because if they still try to get away with the shenanigans they've done so before with high prices and middling, evidently lacklustre content then it will be clear where their priorities are for certain. It's a growing trend where devs try to put out the most passable stuff and charge the same stuff if not more, and considering they've put out great dlc before on WH2, and arguably chaos dwarfs, you've got to wonder what's going on in those offices when it really should be so easy to please us and know what people are complaining about and what they want

Yeah I agree, something to give you a reason to recruit one over the other would be really good.

None of those are "reskins" they all come with unique animations.
