I know this is very late, but I found you and binge watching. Love your style and all you do. Right up my alley. I'm a watercolor artist, but do this for fun and relaxation.
I tore a grocery bag and made a couple little junky journals,Laurie you made raggedy booklets with puckered material sewn around soooooo adorable....a few segments back ,so I made a couple......they turned out cute........your ideas are perfect in all your journals etc.....love your humor....
I have found your channel and have been watching a lot of your videos. I love them. I really like your work and plan to do some of it for myself. Great job TFS
Love this so much, so beautiful! I also am a junk journaler; it is soso relaxing! Thanks so much for sharing and I'm looking forward to the next episode! New Subbie here! :)
Haha! How on earth do you keep your train of thought with me blabbering in the background? Oh man, that gave me a chuckle! I love watching you work Laurie! Hugs! ❤️
Hey there Laurie, I did get some tracing paper today and so happy to see how you use it. What would you do with water colour paper? Pretty tissue paper, do you use it? Thanks for doing your paper layout for your journal, helped alot, thanks for sharing.
Great tutorial! By the way, most of the time my trash ends up all over the place, including the floor - even when I try to be neat. It ain’t happening! Lol!
Love the tutorial! I like to print embellishments ahead to have on hand, but seem to print them too large. Then gave to reprint. For a journal approx. this size, do you usually reduce them by a certain percentage? I thought about reducing them by 40% .... just trying to figure out a way to produce ahead of time and not have to redo. 😆
TFS! I have bought a few digital kits and have been tea and coffee dying papers, so hope to start making junk journals. Just a question for you, would it not be easier to sew the signature or signatures first, then start embellishing them? Thank you.
Marieville55 I know you weren't asking me. But, I to, asked the same question in junk journals Facebook page. It's what ever you prefer. Some do it before they sew in the signatures. Others do it after. I do it after, I sew in my sigs. I find it easier. HTH. Trish
Hi, I use to do it that way, Actually I would make my cover first, then sew in pages, then embellish. But now I add to much, mostly sewing, so I wait now. It's whatever way works for you, don't get me wrong it's not easy sewing them in full, that should be a fun video lol. Thanks for watching. Laurie
