Great preview on what we'll be experiencing this June. We were wondering what to do during our 5 day stay at Ft. Stevens. The Clam is an excellent idea. Thanks again for these videos. They really help!
Glad to hear you are finding them useful. The town of Astoria is very close to Ft. Stevens and is an awesome town to explore. So many great restaurants, breweries, history, etc. we have a video on the town as well or just Google it and you will see how much there is to do. We’ve been visiting for 30 years and still find new things to do.
I really enjoy your videos. You guys are a cuter couple every video. Good to know about bow pickers. Can’t wait to visit the Lewis and Clark park next week. I’ve become a history nerd as of late and that’s top of my list!
Thank you so much. Kim has become a history buff as well especially as it relates to Lewis & Clark. Highly recommend Undaunted Courage from Stephen Ambrose if you haven’t read that yet.
Bow picker has some great fish & chips! They use albacore tuna from the oregon coast.. great video guys, can’t wait to enjoy our first trip to Fort Stevens in our new camper!!
I love these videos and I'm glad I subscribed. I was raised in Oregon, I have family all over the Willamette valley, and I miss it so much! Your videos help create some kind of connection to "My homeland"! In 2017 we travelled out to Oregon and included Astoria and the fort you are showing here. I want to go back and have a Poopdeck Porter!! Thanks J & K!
We had a similar issue 2 weeks ago when we were heading out for Thanksgiving. Only difference was we had a nail in a tire on the truck. That was awesome that they didn’t charge you for the repair!
Good to see how well the clam worked! We are tired of buying the metal pole type ... we also live in Oregon and camp a lot. We love the whole Oregon coastline and appreciate our wonderful State Park System! Have fun and stay well.
We stayed there a few years ago, but in September, so no rain. Impressed how dry the clam stays - that is awesome! We have a Rpod - a smallish one, so we spend a lot of time outside - friends who also have a Rpod have a clam- am re-thinking one now!
Fort Stevens was actually built in 1863 during the Civil War, as an earthwork battery on the south shore of the mouth of the Columbia River, and was known as the Fort at Point Adams.
Hey guys, now that you've had the camp chef for a while what do you think? I'm most curious about the grill box because I hear it can be hard to use. Flare ups or burnt meat.. any thoughts?
Hi Michael. I’ve never had a single issue with it. Having said that I would not claim to be an expert on the grill. Never had any flare ups or burnt meat unless it was my own fault. 😀
That’s not my decision. Thats RUclipss decision. If there are no ads then celebrators make no money. If creators make no money then no sense in making these videos. It’s unfortunate but it’s the way they make revenue. I don’t like watching ads either. 👍
Fantastic State Park. Astoria is an awesome town.
👍
Great video, we are heading there next week
Awesome. You will love it. One of the best on the Oregon Coast.

Such a fantastic week. Always great spending time with family. Even though the trailer is now winterized, hopefully we can get out again soon.

Working while camping...I'm so jealous. Great video!
😂. Ya it was a good week for sure Joe. Hope to be able to do it again soon.
Bow as in a ship’s bow. A bow picker
Is a type of boat used by gillnetters on the Lower Columbia. The nets were retrieved over the bow.
Nice video.
Thanks Kardy.

Ya they are a fantastic company to do business with. One of the true great ones still around.
Good to see how well the clam worked! We are tired of buying the metal pole type ... we also live in Oregon and camp a lot. We love the whole Oregon coastline and appreciate our wonderful State Park System! Have fun and stay well.
Thank you Bev. They Clam has been fantastic this far. More expensive but pretty much bulletproof. Agree the Oregon Coast line can’t be beat.

Ya the Clam has been awesome. Best investment we’ve made. Rpods are great trailers. So easy to haul, Park, etc.
Can’t wait for the video on your wi-fi set up.
Hi Dan. Hope to get started on that one this week. We found a great solution that is working fantastic for us.
@@adventuresofjandk Awesome! We are new Rv’rs in Oregon and enjoy your vids. Go Ducks!
@@danmcgatha6168 Fantastic. Thanks so much for subscribing to our channel. If we can be of any help just let us know. Go Ducks.
Why you two don't have more subscribers is just beyond me...I love your content and feel as though I'm traveling with you! Total joy to watch! ; )
Wow! What a fantastic comment. Made our day. Thank you so much.
I've been going to the Oregon coast since 2010 and have only had one one day of rain and that was in 2019 in Tillamook.
You are one lucky guy. Not even sure how that’s possible unless you only go in the summer
Very beautiful area! We hope to get out there next year, after the winter!
Ya the Oregon Coast has some fantastic rv camping. Hard to beat.
Awesome video. Going to have to go there again soonish. Haven't seen the Peter Iredale since I was a wee lad.
😂. Seems we have been there a million times but never gets old.
Well done! I hope my videos can turn out like this at some point! Greeting from Portland, OR BTW!
Appreciate the kind words.

Interesting. We were not aware of that. Appreciate you sharing.

@@adventuresofjandk Hey, thanks for getting back to me. Good to hear! Keep up the videos. I know it is SO much work to build a channel!
You bet. Actually working on our new video right now. About 3 hours into it. Nobody ever said it was going to be easy. 😂
Great video and it really encourages me to do the same...Thanks!!
