I just like how Portugal simply chooses the song that they like every single year, without thinking how it will do at the contest or anything else. Not the best way but not the worst at all. And of course, it wasn't a eurofans' favourite and now everyone hates it. I will never understand eurofans' logic, Salvador is great and this is a sure non-qualifier at the same time, just how it works? I really like the fact that it's so soft and not that boring, and English is really helps to understand the meaning (by the way, it's the first only English song from Portugal ever!). When I first heard it I just knew that the song tells some sad story about looking for some success in our life and not managing it. and yes, it's about some real woman who they met somewhere who chased after happiness and ended up as a prostitute, still hoping that everything will work out and 'love is on her side'
The Black Mamba are brilliant on stage performance, they've held live concerts in many parts. Their vocal is just incredible. You'll agree with me and say wow !
The song "Telemóveis" was not about technology. The cell phone was only used as a metaphor to express emotions towards a loved one who is no longer alive and how he wanted to communicate with them.
the song was interesting enough, but frankly the staging ( costumes and *dancing*) really turned me off. Id love to see Conan do something a bit less "weird". LOL (look who's talking)
Great song, great orchestration, great voice. We are proud of our song. And it doesn't matter if we go to the final or not. Black Mamba are a special band for us and that is what matters.
Telemoveis was great because if we go deeper to history and blend of cultures, it has some asian tone, Brazilian and African vibes blend with Portuguese fado. That's why it is deeply appreciated by Portugal, it is fragmented with so many different sounds.
Love it, love it, LOVE it!! I feel people are sleeping on Portugal this year......in a season of uptempo entries, i really feel this will be a moment in Rotterdam. (Noone saw John Kyriannis qualifying for Cyprus in 2017 or was it 2016?). His vocals are just stunning. I was on Team Neev in F da C but The Black Mamba was also a great choice. Well done Portugal🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹👏👏
@@ZakhadWOW yes, your dead right. But my point remains the same.......a ballad performed well always impacts on the night, especially surrounded by lots of uptempo songs
I really like it. It is not the winner, but this song is for special events. His voice did something to me and it reminds me the song "i believe I can fly". Very similar fellings and notes 🤗 P.S Guys, you are amazing !!! ❤️
Probably will not qualify to the final but this is a really nice entry from Portugal & one I could listen to without feeling the need to skip the track.
Sorry, but Eurovision fans have to decide if they want a song contest or a circus contest ?! This song is absolutely wonderful! It will last through time, even if Eurovision purists do not applaud it. This is not a song that will be confined to the Eurovision stage. Tantanca has an amazing voice. May love be on our side!
Conan song was a metaphor for heaven and missing someone. We had the effort to do something edgy but portuguese is the the country of "saudade" (missing something being nostalgic). And the songs reflect that.
hey guys. I'm one of the ones that voted for Telemoveis. So there :-) it just moved me more. I'm a little more impressed by the Black Mamba than most (giggity) but probably would've preferred Neev's Dancing with the Stars. It would've done much better in the competition. Cheers, 2sc
We are not upset with you guys. We just don't attach any importance to eurovision. We participate, we take the music we like and the rest doesn't matter.
Fun fact about this - the song is about a sex worker in Rotterdam because the singer lived there before the pandemic and he still have his house there. Also the portuguese people first didn't liked the pick. It wasn't favorite
His voice is great and I quite like the guitar solo at the end. But I just don't think the song is memorable enough for a competition. I think this will probably struggle to qualify.
I think that in 2014 they feard a revolution if they dared to waste money on ESC. Those were really hard times here. Cuts on everything and austherity measures applied to everything and almost everyone.Pooverty rising, younger people leaving the country and everything. It was really sad. We had a crazy pm at the time that is only comparable to our History's crazy dictador. I feel sad just to remember those days. I really couldn't remember what happened but now I had a look in what was sent to Eurovision and wow! How dare we? Portugal sent what's called "música pimba" here. It's basically music made to play at Summer parties dedicated to emmigrantes (who left the country under dictatorship, some decades ago). If it represent some Portuguese, it's certainly those. It says a lot , I guess, and how far we went... backwards. I'm shocked, really! Even more after seeing how acclaimed the singer was amonger ESc fans. She's a diva, apparently. Wow! I need a coffee to wake up from the nightmare.

One of the favourite song is Conan Osiris "Telemóveis", but the message is not about tecnology is bad, it is really not the message!
Telemóveis was absolutely ridiculous and got what it deserved!

איך אגדיר זאת..שיר עם פוטנציאל.
לדעתי השופטים יתנו לו נקודות. הקהל..פחות.
Older music being... old. How dare they...
