I hate how survivors still say slugging is toxic.Slugging isn't toxic. A lot of people do it especially since cipher rush is still bad. It slows the game down so that you at least get points.. you don't get a lot of points as hunter for ties,, especially in higher ranks. Its getting hard to even get a 3 or 4 man win as hunter most of the time in higher ranks. I normally don't slug in lower ranks. There is no need but once I get to the higher ones I will.
the problem is when people do it in quick match. slugging CAN be toxic. it's not toxic if youre using it for points. i know hunters who slug to be toxic not for points. or to be specific i have encountered. and i have also encountered some who slug for points
As a survivor main I don’t think slugging is toxic. You gotta do whatever it takes to win and if that’s your strategy then go for it lmao
@@kapon1845 its not toxic to do it in QM either. I play QM the same way I play rank. I don't change my play style just because its QM. I keep my play style so that I don't lose it when I play rank. It's not wrong to slug for points. Its hard as hunter to get points in rank. Survivors can get 9 points for a tie while hunters get 3 to 4 points. Survivors still get points even if they lose. I don't know how many times I won as hunter with a 3 or 4 man and they only lose -2 or 0 while when they get a 3 or 4 man win, I'm losing 5 to 8 points. There's nothing wrong with slugging in either game type but if you are slugging just for thr fun of it then yeah I can see where it is toxic.

I wouldn't call it toxic these days, you can literally surrender when slugging becomes for the purpose of toxicity. In the end, it just becomes stupidity of the players who don't want to surrender.
Slugging isn't toxic on rank matches and 5v5, but anywhere else it's unecessary if you already have a win by your hands. Makes the game very boring and annoying.

Allow me to explain. Doing the slugging sounds toxic for our surver but for chinese server no Some may Ask why BECAUSE in chinese server they work/play Harder on matches that's why they slug the survivers so i consider it as not toxic if nobody stickers also in other words they slug due to lazyness of not charing them or forcing them to surrender. Also not to make the game longer than it supposed to
I think what considered toxic is unnecessary slugging. In my case, if im the only survivor left and the hunter refused to chair me, I'll just put down the phone and do something else 😌

Honestly the only time I find it off putting is if it's a fake friendly hunter slugging but honestly slugging is very rare for me. Plus there have been cases where slugging has been done out of mean spirit for example someone slugging a player because of the character they play and then being nice everyone else.
And tbh I've accidentally done it a few times because I main Joseph and after I chair the survivor I cant find them 💀 I deserve no sympathy for that one I just have no brain.

As an Antonio main, I've even prepared a persona build just for slugging in the late game lol (the after effects and such) and I truly believe that's a valid strategy like any other
What's toxic is doing it just for making fun of survs and spamming emotes but that's not the point there
Man everyone who plays this game is so whiny. Slugging is part of the game because sometimes harassers distract the Hunter from the knocked target, which is what happened in this video too.
I don't think slugging is toxic, that's like saying emoting is outright toxic. Some people do it as a strategy, sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. I mean, if you want a 4-man at 3 or lower ciphers, you have to slug-
I have ran into hunters who slug only to be toxic. Played as Norton against a Wu Chang who wanted to do nothing but slug me for the character I played. Everyone but me managed to escape, I did surrender and he spammed the shit out of post chat calling me bad, slurs.. Pretty much almost every word in a book for sailors. Sometimes I don't surrender to waste their time if they're going to be that petty over a character choice. Depends on if I'm playing solo or not. 😊 Mostly pisses them off, so I know I've done my job better than they did lol
I had an unconfortable slugging situation on the same map some days ago... I used the only nearest chair, but there weren't more chairs around, the survis tried to save or heal eachother on the same place and I knocked down all of them there, so one of them flied away but the other 3 slugged till death

slugging is only toxic if hunters do it out of fun, and are trying to be quirky, if its a strategy that helps you win, just like in this video, its not toxic, but slugging for fun and cause youre bored out of your mind is toxic and will forever be toxic
While we're on the topic of slugging, my main issue is that Netease really should fix the surrender system because I've been in so many situations where the hunter clearly knows someone is afk so they decide to slug everyone but we can't surrender because the afk player can't click it -_-
It is not toxic if you bleed and chair them. For me,it is toxic if you just want them to die without chairing them. That just gonna waste rank time.
After 2 years of not watching a gameplay of IDV and not playing this game, I noticed something has changed, new skins and new characters :D still waiting for them to fix the hitbox and probably the cipher decoding buff which mostly likely will not happen anytime soon 💀 new survivor's ability looks nice btw (out of topic ik)
It's not toxic, since we rank for points. But it gets annoying when there is little time left for rank matches. Then again, why not surrender in a hopeless match?
My only experience with slugging was in qm and duos and all but one match I would consider non-toxic and fun. But then again, that toxic slugging I _did_ experience was a worker bee Joseph who didn't even have a full persona, so I can't really blame him I guess 🤷

@@Andehirt i mean its called quick match for a reason, there is no reason to slug players, the hunter should just hurry up. playing with a joseph who slugs slows down the match from at least 15 minutes to a good 25 minutes
I dont see that toxic. I do that sometimes mostly when there is a merc. Down merc and force him to heal since his healing is slow and chair is slow. So while panic persona is activated to slow down surv decode. I can chase another while just worrying of one surv decoding cause the other surv might heal merc but its slow heal so i got time

We seen cipher rush and as long survivors up 😭😭😭, 😐so slug sometimes needed.
As a survivor, i don't really care, it's like: ok if you are not gonna chair me properly, I'm gonna stay here until i die, i mean, you and I will waste our time, but well, this i the least that i deserve after you didn't want to make me die fast xD (I'm stubborn, i don't like to surrender even if i already lose, unless the other survivor wanna do it, then i accept it, because, i respect others time)

If ur just slugging and everyone has used up their self heal and refusing to chair and just bleeding people out + emoting then that’s a toxic move.
There are sides of slugging.. There's the REAL toxic way and the normal way.. In normal way, hunters slugs so that they can get a 4man(if possible) so, they will chair the remaining survivors if the last survivor has been caught.. And the toxic way is that hunters will leave you incapacitated somewhere and just bleed you to death. Especially with those pathetic emotes -_-

i still think how survivors have some powerful areas but they cipher rush and that's all they can do some lops can't even be broken and that is how hard it is to get survivors

Wildling has an ability that makes hunter's "tinnitus" useless for a few seconds, so if Bleber relied in tinnitus to find survs they'd had a "harder time" after Wildling does that
