I agree whole heartedly with the Instagram thing. The amount of times I end up thinking about Instagram when progressing with a drawing is not healthy. It leads me to try to aim for perfection which leads to me rushing and/or being too rigid. And I realise it is mostly toxic but then it's also a way of following some really nice art/artists such as yourself! So it's a double edged sword. Anyway, this was another great artwork and thanks for taking the time to show it!
Thank you so much for your words! I totally agree with the aspect that there are still some nice people on IG I want to follow and stay in touch with. If that wouldn´t be the case, I think I would`ve already left this place. I really hope that more people recognize this and change the way they approach their art. Because IT IS toxic! All the power to you! 🧡 Fühl ich sehr grad, hab auch ziemliche Probleme mit Kunst und Social Media in letzter Zeit - also sowohl mit Kunst, Social Media, als auch beidem zusammen 😂 Instagram ist echt fast unnutzbar inzwischen, lauter Bot-Accounts überall, keine Kontrolle über den eigenen Feed,... ich deinstallier es regelmäßig, aber komm dann immer wieder zurück 🙈
Es ist schon tröstlich zu lesen, dass man nicht alleine ist! :) Ja, es ist echt schlimm, wie sich das entwickelt hat. Aber ich ziehe meine Konsequenzen daraus, denn ich möchte mich eben nicht mehr so machtlos fühlen UND mich so krass beeinflussen lassen. Ich hoffe sehr, es gelingt mir auch weiterhin. Fühlt sich gerade aber sehr gut an!
