Per usual, great video and so far it seems that Yamaha is putting out some of the best, out of the box, trail bikes. So glad I didn’t get the RMZ because I mostly ride on the trails. Thank you again.
I have a 2019 YZ250FX and it is a great bike wouldn't trade it for any two-stroke, I put a throttle tamer on it and redid the suspension to carry my weight great bike
to me they feel similar power wise, but the FX stands out bc of that wide ratio tranny that is super versatile. the suspension that came stock on both is really good and they handle well, sharp bikes
Really enjoy your vids. Looking for a new yamaha in the future. Just can't decide 125X or 250FX. I have a 13 yr old that is due for a full size trail bike. I could get the FX plated here in NM, close to some really good riding from my house, soo the FX might get the edge.
plated FX would be really nice option for some serious trips.. wide ratio gears are good for connecting the trails, 5th and 6th are super tall.. 1st granny gear is short and great for slow stuff. Might be handful for your son in the beginning but he will grow into it quick. 2020 models are little shorter and narrower compare to previous model years. have fun guys!
i have a wr250f thats bored out to a 290, been thinking of 'upgrading' soon. every video i see of the new yz250fx makes me want one so bad. i have a trail bike (wr250f) and a track bike crf450r but, both are carb'd and pretty outdated. it would be nice to have a bike that can excel in both trails and track. thank you for this video
This bike or 2020-21 350 XC-F for moto/hare scrambles (FL)? I currently own a 2020 YZ250f and 2017 KTM 250 XC-W and looking to consolidate so I don't have to worry about 2 bikes. I'm very close in age/skill/weight.
hmm.. thats a tough call.. fx is not very far from yz250f you currently have.. how would you like that power on the trails? Personally I can see myself in few situations where I would rather have 350 power, specially when lugging in slow technical steep uphills.. but for everything else this bike feels amazing, and its pretty good in slow technical as well maybe needs little softer suspension for that (play with the clickers I guess) best if you can test ride 350, I had 2019 350xf-c for a test and it was overall a great bike - probably little more versatile than 250fx, hope that helps
what kind of riding? hmm.. I would probably go with 450, if you plan to mix faster and technical trails.. one or two technical hills on 250x I was wishing to have more power.. but its all doable..
they both feel great, I would lean towards FX just because you have more versatile gearbox, works great on the trails and handles track really well too.

thanks Dave, this bike will work much better for your trail needs
Great vid as usual my friend.. I’ve heard that’s a solid bike that’s a lot of fun to ride. As always appreciate the info
thanks Jason, yea.. very solid bikes specially for these kind of trails
I have a 2019 YZ250FX and it is a great bike wouldn't trade it for any two-stroke, I put a throttle tamer on it and redid the suspension to carry my weight great bike
cool, thanks for sharing Terry!
Running a 2017 450fx. Love it. The torque is crazy. Solid solid bike. Great video man, keep it up.
Thanks Mike! Will do! 450fx must be a beast, especially with some aggressive mapping
Another great video! If you had to choose one bike for track and trail, would you choose YZ250FX or CRF250RX?
thanks, glad you like it. I would pick fx since the wide ratio 6 gear tranny makes more sense.
good review how does it compare to the Honda 250rx , suspension, motor , chassis feel and handling? Thanks!
Way better
to me they feel similar power wise, but the FX stands out bc of that wide ratio tranny that is super versatile. the suspension that came stock on both is really good and they handle well, sharp bikes
Great video and I can't wait to see what Jay does with it. I love my 17FX and the 20's are even a little better.
You and me both! hope to have it back soon!
seems like an awesome bike man. i really love the blue rims they look so good :D
I think so too! thanks man
Yeup! surprisingly powerful for a 250, can't wait to see this after the big bore kit.. ☺
me too! update coming soon

Yea, this would be good candidate for moto/trail bike
Just wondering do you prefer this bike over the wr 450f or you prefer the 250fx over that model just wanted to know ?
hmm.. hard to say, it was like a year since I was on wr450.. they are both super fun bikes
Really nice trails you got there!
I really liked the way you flow along with the bike
thanks Nir, glad you like it! easy trail but flows nice, so its always fun to ride it..
Where are you riding?? THese trails are amazing!
around Hemet area in national forest, these are marked trails
Really debating getting rid of my yz250 for one of these. I’m so afraid I’ll miss the power but I also know I don’t need the power lol
The Fock and shock are soft for hard enduro?my yz250x is hard for enduro ,especially on rock trail.....
yea, I heard that from more guys. its better on faster trails.. feels ok to me, but of course could be better

That looks and sounds like the bike I need for trail riding it seem to do very well
good bike for sure!
This thing pulls nice was my first sentence too when i bought mine 😂
cool man!
Would you pick this bike or an xcf?
probably xcf 350
2021 450fx or 250fx can’t decide what you thoughts
what kind of riding? hmm.. I would probably go with 450, if you plan to mix faster and technical trails.. one or two technical hills on 250x I was wishing to have more power.. but its all doable..
YZ250FX or YZ250X....which would you chose for single track and track?
hmm.. probably 250x
Dirt N Iron thanks, I think the 250FX would be down on power.
CRF 250 RX or the YZ250FX? I can't decide which to buy.
they both feel great, I would lean towards FX just because you have more versatile gearbox, works great on the trails and handles track really well too.
YZ !
First love the content Yamaha is my favorite brand
cool man, what do you ride?
Dirt N Iron 2013 ttr230 but looking to upgrade to a 2021 yz250fx
I rode a 2019 WR 450 F, which was fantastic bike, may purchase one instead of updating to a new KTM 300 or 350 EXC-F KTM
cool! I spend 7 months on 2019 wr450 last year and loved it!
That thing sounds great! Not like a typical 4s 250.
Almost like a 2s in the grunt but all the time.
yea, it does sound pretty good and likes high rpm
Great vid
That's the best way to ride them all stock tell you get faster..
sounds good Chris, but we are going to do little bit of tweaking ;)
solid idol Dirt N Iron 💪
thanks!
the moto is so very beautiful 😍
Excelente video, tenia una pregunta, cuanto cuesta restaurar una moto asi
this is brand new bike, not restored one
@@dirtniron podrías darme en que precio están, en mi pais son demasiadas caras
So if you only could have one
Yz125x or the yz250fx.... be honest
125x, because its more fun and new to me
250X
How much was it
its brand new, check out Yamaha website
I have this bike and I can say at faster speeds it handles rocks and obstacles really well. Lower speeds its absolutely awful, its way to stiff
thanks for sharing Joe! did you try to dial in the suspension? playing with the clickers?
1😀
your going slow for such a open trail
;) thats the speed I feel comfortable with
He's faster than me😁.
