    Per usual, great video and so far it seems that Yamaha is putting out some of the best, out of the box, trail bikes. So glad I didn’t get the RMZ because I mostly ride on the trails. Thank you again.

    I have a 2019 YZ250FX and it is a great bike wouldn't trade it for any two-stroke, I put a throttle tamer on it and redid the suspension to carry my weight great bike

    Running a 2017 450fx. Love it. The torque is crazy. Solid solid bike. Great video man, keep it up.

      Thanks Mike! Will do! 450fx must be a beast, especially with some aggressive mapping

    Another great video! If you had to choose one bike for track and trail, would you choose YZ250FX or CRF250RX?

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  3 года назад +1

      thanks, glad you like it. I would pick fx since the wide ratio 6 gear tranny makes more sense.

    good review how does it compare to the Honda 250rx , suspension,motor , chassis feel and handling? Thanks!

      @metalgiant36 4 года назад +1

      Way better

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 года назад

      to me they feel similar power wise, but the FX stands out bc of that wide ratio tranny that is super versatile. the suspension that came stock on both is really good and they handle well, sharp bikes

    Really enjoy your vids. Looking for a new yamaha in the future. Just can't decide 125X or 250FX. I have a 13 yr old that is due for a full size trail bike. I could get the FX plated here in NM, close to some really good riding from my house, soo the FX might get the edge.

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 года назад +1

      plated FX would be really nice option for some serious trips.. wide ratio gears are good for connecting the trails, 5th and 6th are super tall.. 1st granny gear is short and great for slow stuff. Might be handful for your son in the beginning but he will grow into it quick. 2020 models are little shorter and narrower compare to previous model years. have fun guys!

    i have a wr250f thats bored out to a 290, been thinking of 'upgrading' soon. every video i see of the new yz250fx makes me want one so bad. i have a trail bike (wr250f) and a track bike crf450r but, both are carb'd and pretty outdated. it would be nice to have a bike that can excel in both trails and track. thank you for this video

    • @dirtniron

      Yea, this would be good candidate for moto/trail bike

    This bike or 2020-21 350 XC-F for moto/hare scrambles (FL)? I currently own a 2020 YZ250f and 2017 KTM 250 XC-W and looking to consolidate so I don't have to worry about 2 bikes. I'm very close in age/skill/weight.

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 года назад

      hmm.. thats a tough call.. fx is not very far from yz250f you currently have.. how would you like that power on the trails? Personally I can see myself in few situations where I would rather have 350 power, specially when lugging in slow technical steep uphills.. but for everything else this bike feels amazing, and its pretty good in slow technical as well maybe needs little softer suspension for that (play with the clickers I guess) best if you can test ride 350, I had 2019 350xf-c for a test and it was overall a great bike - probably little more versatile than 250fx, hope that helps

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  3 года назад

      what kind of riding? hmm.. I would probably go with 450, if you plan to mix faster and technical trails.. one or two technical hills on 250x I was wishing to have more power.. but its all doable..

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 года назад +2

      they both feel great, I would lean towards FX just because you have more versatile gearbox, works great on the trails and handles track really well too.
