Man I love that music you use during reassembly. It always reminds me of a water level from the 8 and 16 bit eras. Also that is an awesome clamp tool you use to hold the wires in place.
I run the same setup. SNS-101, voultar RGB chip, HD retrovision cables and a retrotink 2x pro to a modern display. I also use the 8bitdo 2.4 controllers for ease of use and I suffer no noticeable lag issues through my whole setup and the clarity is very impressive for 25 year old hardware.
If you have an SNES that you love and can't stomach the idea of ruining it, you could do what I do; Buy an extra console from eBay. One of those "untested" ones with no cables/controllers/games. They're pretty cheap, and if you come at it from the perspective of, "Okay, this thing isn't going to work when I get it." You can pretty much do anything with it. Clean it up nice, fix it up, mod it out.
Awesome video! Love the modding and well explained. Soldering does take a bit of skill with the right tools, got to leave it to the pros lol. Love the background music. Super Nintendo is my favorite console of all time with great variety of games. 2nd will be Nintendo 64 then Playstation 3.
Not yet. I've done the NES HDMI mod, and I had an Ultra HDMI on pre-order but I cancelled and I'm going to do the Pixel FX one instead. I also have a DCHDMI sitting on my bench for installation too
Very cool, but honestly, there's no need for this. Simply get the RGB Cables from HD Retrovision and you can connect your system via Component and it will look BETTER!
Thanks for the vid. FIrst time seeing your channel...just popped up on my youtube feed. Snes is my favorite console too, but I never could get into adventure island on nes or snes, which is strange because I love platformers. Oh well. Question though, looks like you're using a wireless snes controller and I've been in the market for one. Which one are you using? Any recommendations?
Thanks for checking it out and welcome, I appreciate you coming by and checking out the channel!! I'm using the Hyperkin Wireless Scout currently, but I am looking forward to testing the upcoming Retro-Bit wireless controllers too!!
Completely different sort of system. The Super NT is an FPGA that outputs a digital signal via HDMI and upscales to 1080P. This is providing an analog 480P with the RetroTink 2x, and with the OSSC if you do a 4x line multiplier it's 960P, 1200P on 5x.
What the hell is a Seda? And in this instance you're correct, partially. The standard SNES had RGB output, but to reduce cost they removed that feature from the Junior. The Master System and Genesis both had native RGB output, however the Model 2 Master System only had RF out
If I did this mod, I would have to do it with an original model 001 SNES as for whatever reason, my Ascii Turbo controller does not work with the SNES Mini, which I found out long after getting my Mini system. I cannot play Super Metroid without that controller as it's the best SNES controller period!
Hello friend behind where your dvd many behind and a fast ghost behind your dvd... it scares me... you didn't see your dvd behind a ghost very fast duration 15:47 and 15:49 please watch your video

I was a huge Super Adventure Island when it came out. That music was unheard of back then in a console video game.
The soundtrack really is amazing

It's a Reverse Action Tweezers

Ambient aquatics or aquatic ambience or something like that
Think Dad and I can do it with this video Gary. He knows how to solder good. Thanks for sharing!
Go for it!

Voultar is amazing, I love everything that he does, and this is an amazing setup for sure
Wish I had the confidence to tackle these type of mods. Great upgrade.
It takes practice, but Voultar makes an amazing kit that many can install.

By the way, I play Super Adventure Island every day at least once. One of my favorite series of all-time!
I thought this was right up your alley!
@@RoXolid Yes sir! Thanks!
I'm lucky someone in my city sold a RGB modded Sony PVM .I like the picture quality it has with retro consoles the best .
Those are nice units if you are a fan of CRTs
With this mod on a 1 chip SNES, do you need HD Retrovision cables for RGB? Or can you use N64 style RGB cables?
Awesome video! Love the modding and well explained. Soldering does take a bit of skill with the right tools, got to leave it to the pros lol. Love the background music. Super Nintendo is my favorite console of all time with great variety of games. 2nd will be Nintendo 64 then Playstation 3.
I can't wait to hear your feedback when you get it back!
Nice video, have you ever done a ultra hdmi mod?
Not yet. I've done the NES HDMI mod, and I had an Ultra HDMI on pre-order but I cancelled and I'm going to do the Pixel FX one instead. I also have a DCHDMI sitting on my bench for installation too
Today I just ordered an S video modified Sega Genesis model 1 off eBay that's also got the rear stereo jacks.
Very cool, but honestly, there's no need for this. Simply get the RGB Cables from HD Retrovision and you can connect your system via Component and it will look BETTER!

@@RoXolid thanks for the info! Think that's the one I'll pull the trigger on. Keep up the good work
Nice.
Thanks for checking it out!
how.does it comepare.to the super nt???
Completely different sort of system. The Super NT is an FPGA that outputs a digital signal via HDMI and upscales to 1080P. This is providing an analog 480P with the RetroTink 2x, and with the OSSC if you do a 4x line multiplier it's 960P, 1200P on 5x.
I forget what you recommended for my Stripped screw in my NES down one of the long tunnel.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I don't remember?
Seda does what Nintendon't!
What the hell is a Seda?
And in this instance you're correct, partially. The standard SNES had RGB output, but to reduce cost they removed that feature from the Junior. The Master System and Genesis both had native RGB output, however the Model 2 Master System only had RF out
I think I’ll just wait until the super nt is back in stock🤣
Uhhhhhh... Yeah, about that...

The original SNES doesn't need this mod, it can do RGB from the box
