I actually disagree with the whole calling them by their real names make you a true army. I've been an army for almost 2 years and I call namjoon RM most of the time. It's obviously means your an army to know their names but calling them by their real names doesn't make you more of an army than someone who doesn't

I'm pretty sure that the last part: red and black, is about his depression and greed. In an interview with billboard (a written one) he said that his depression, anxiety and loneliness will probably with him for the rest of his life. ("Success or fail, you can't escape I will always be a part of you") It's crazy... And the very last part with the cellphones, it probably relates to his social anxiety, that he has to face every day, especially as an idol... constanty observed and judged... ah it's so sad..

Actually thats wrong.
In this songs he‘s talking about accepting his „shadow side“ and embracing it bc It doesn‘t matter how fast u run, the shadow will always follow (and thats for all of us, not just Yoongi)
And yes its kinda sad but at the other side its motivating to see someone, who had to go trough so much pain, accepting the fact the „shadow side“ is also him. We all have a „shadow side“ and like Yoongi, we have to deal with it, instead of running away.
And the part with the cellphones doesn‘t have anything to do with his social anxiety, it shows that no one pays attention to Yoongi when Suga is on stage (i hope u understand what i mean)
And yea as a person who has an amount of experience with social anxiety and depression, I can totally agree with him. It will always stay with us for the rest of our lives bc it changed us and it either destroyed us or made us grow.
I think that it made Yoongi grow, he got stronger after this (the same goes for me) but im sure that he still got this moments where he feels rlly bad and i can relate to that to. Things like that will always stay with u so learn to accept it. Thats what im at least trying to do.
And from the vibes i get from him right now he rlly is happy and even if there are times when he isn‘t, thats just life and he knows it. We as a fandom, as ARMY can be there to support him, bc he deserves all the happiness in this universe! All of the boys deserve it!

serving the military is very beneficial on their mental health. i kinda observe that almost every celebrities after serving kinda comeback fresh... it's a good break and different experience.
he talk as his shadow and his bright self, everything we chase always have price to paid, afraid is natural feeling when u got everything u want or qhen u walk on your path, but in this song i feel yoongi said to accept and life with our shadow because thats part ourself , were one body one soul
@S. L Suga had struggled with depression even prior to meeting BH. He opened up about that on his previous songs, the struggle with mental illness and family. So looked like Suga already made this lyrics the moment they knew the next album will be shadow because they already had planned these we shouldn't worry about them too much based on the lyrics because it seemed like the boys are happy regardless because they got each other and they're learning to live with their shadows.. i believe BTS will not change anything if given the chance to go back in the past.

Yep, I can relate :-) That´s Yoongi my ultimate bias, a man with deep, deep soul...and my first CB too. I am so proud of him in this song. He got an honor to kick off their CB with this interlude and that is great but I am also heart broken after I listened to his lyrics. He does say it as it is, always, no matter how painful it can be.

While I was watching the MV for the second time I really paid attention to the lyrics and WOW, he did such a brilliant job delivering his perspective and self growth, I am AMAZED
