Great video, Ken. I know I'm late to the comment party on this one, but I'm only a few months into wet shaving. I got a beginner set from Razor Emporium in late October with a Rockwell 6C. I've been shaving a couple times a week and worked up to R3. Was getting good, but not great shaves. Was starting to worry I wouldn't take to this type of shaving. Your video change that and gave me the confidence to start using R6. It blew my mind. Amazing, amazing shaves. Now, I'm so excited about my 6C and wet shaving generally. Thanks for your videos and great advice. Keep 'em coming. Us newbies really appreciate 'em.
Excellent! Glad to hear about the progress you're making. I and many other wet shavers had the same issues. It will come in time. I'm thankful you found my videos helpful! The Rockwell is an excellent razor. Keep trying different blades, too, and you'll find your "sweet spot".
Nice comparison on aggressive shaving ~! Got my Rockwell 6 C and tried the first shave on plate 3... pretty good ...but thinking the 4 Plate might be it for me ~! I will find out next test shave. Kit
Nice shave Ken, well done💈💈 Correct, 6S vs 6C, 6C wins the "glide" contest. Both razors are exceptional for their price point. I've been using a RazoRoc Game Changer w/.84 plate with great success(3 pass), smooth, efficient and opposite in the price spectrum. I like three passes though😉 Enjoy your R41, variety is what it's all about now a days. Great video and comments. Enjoy!
@@georgepierre3594 I do not really use the R41 anymore, but for sensitive skin, you might want to get the Rockwell 6C or 6S and try a lower number plate.
The R41 is t h e beast, offering no mercy. Rockwell stands for comfort, even at 6 the blade gap is just .79mm, not much at all. A Futur starts at 1 with 1,12mm. Tried to find the gap of R41, but failed. does anyone know more?
Hi ken, l have never tried the r41 not to sure if I want to, also I don't own a 6s, but I do have the 6c which is my go to razor, and plate 6 with a smooth cutting blade, i just get the best shaves, I just think wow if I just had this razor when I started wet shaving 40+ years ago, the money the wife could of took off me for her whatever would be a pretty penny, anyway best wishes from the UK.
If you're up for an affordable challenge, Aimsport Razor Labs makes the 'C410i Spitfire Mk. Ia' 3D printed top cap for the 2013 Mühle R41, so it will approximate the performance of the more aggressive 2011 Mühle R41. As long as you don't over tighten or use excessively hot water, this top cap may serve you well, if you like aggressive razors (though I find the iKon Tech the most aggressive of any I've tried) I take it you're not going to get a Karve 'F' Razor Guard anytime soon. You might like the Classic Shaving Occam's Razor. Even at it's most aggressive setting (setting 3, with a Feather 'Professional Super' Artist Club blade) it can provide a surprisingly smooth and efficient shave. Maybe the most enjoyable of the razors I've described. If you're interested look for reviews. One version is currently on sale for $55, though who knows how long this will last (and if your money might be better spent elsewhere).
Couldn't agree with you more on your take of the degree of the lack of professionalism in today's news. Great informational shave.

Great video Champ, can't go wrong with the Rockwell, 6C user here. Always delivers a drama free smooth shave.
Great shave champ! It's amazing how factors change after your technique improves.
Great shave Champ. Hope all is good with you, enjoy your weekend.
Nice shaving Ken,good weekend!
I have no idea why but I absolutely love your vibe. Earned a sub my dude 👊
Keep it up!

Great comparison, y named it all.
I just bought an R41 to use with my Voskhod blades. I also own a 6S and mostly use plate 4 and 5.
Which one is better for sensitive skin ?

Great video Ken even though I don’t agree with you. 😆😆. Love the 6s and 6c. Sold my r41 ☹️☹️. Shave on buddy .........................
I think the Rockwell is smother but if you want to lay waste to stubble or a hedge the R41 is the Godzilla of razors.
"Lay waste to stubble" - what a nice compliment.

I Agree Entirely Ken..!!
I also agree
Futzing is a word I should work into more conversations. 🤔
Is your R41 the older more aggressive one before the changes?
Hi Jill. It's the newer (2013) head design. I've never encountered as far a I recall, the 2011 design.
Proraso Blue smells like licorice.
Hi. Thanks. I'm planning of switching from the awesome (or so I thought) 5 blade vibrating Gillette Fusion.
God bless, Proverbs 31
Nice comparison! What is your preshave soap/bar? I refuse to read/watch CNN-- biased news=revolting.
My preshave soap is the Phoenix Shave "The Cube" normally the charcoal one, but I own two other ones.
