It's supposed to be night elf new capital city. However the fact that they just threw l players into stormwind and orgrimmar does not give me hope they will go back to races starting in their own cities. I only say that because for example because so many other races have their cities still standing strong. However were also just tossed into those two cities

Have you had a chance to read "The Legend of Elun'Ahir" found in the emerald dream? It speaks of Eonar putting a branch of G'Hanir on Azeroth after the black empire and aman'thul is mad and rips it out. It is described similarly to him ripping out the old god in my opinion and he calls the life the tree brings "uncontrolled chaos"

Could be the manifestation of life as used by the Genesect on Draenor. It would seem to fit the idea they want to hammer: Power is not tied to ideology, all power can be used for either good or bad.

Ragnaros wasnt able to burn it down in Cata. Can't the NE live there?

    • @bunnyrabi
      @bunnyrabi 10 месяцев назад +1

@@Jeff-fe8rfhonestly the original commenter has a point. Nodrassil has such a deep connection, and apparently already regrew. We know tyrande was living there after she left stormwind due to disagreements before the Start of shadowlands. So its kind of wild to me that they have yet to give any explanation as to why Nodrassil was never an option. Hell there was never an explanation as to why a mass 2nd home city wasn't built there too.
However of course due to gameplay reasons we understand it's because they wanted to move the races to stormwind to help with new game stuff. However that's the issue with blizzards story telling, they change first and give a reason after remembering lol

    • @cassiodalcin
      @cassiodalcin 10 месяцев назад +1

The player positivo in Legion was filled, canonnically, by an NPC. And Blizz did acknowledge this in SLands when Darion Morgraine led the Ebon Blade (unless you're the Deathlord). It's the NPC's that wielded the weapons to absorb the sword's power in Sillithus at the epilogue.
The Shaman leader in this case was Nobundo so he could, technically, fill that role.
But yeah, all this primordial elemental chãos and we can't use shamans to help cause Cata did that before. "And with Classic domingo, good Lord, ppl would be saturated with shamans!"

@@mokarokas-1727 No, very much mean Tyrande, though Sylvanas definitely deserves the slander these days.
No, if you really think about it Tyrande is a xenophonic rascist and the greatest terrorist in Azeroth's history. Yes, it was justified to use extreme measures to defend against the Legion Invasion summoned by Azshara. What wasn't justified was blowing up a continent to do it. Illidan literally td her and Malfurion not to do what they did, because of the exact consequences, and that he had a plan that was almost ready.
They CHOSE to blow up the Well of Eternity.
Then when their people were trying to rebuild they stepped in to take power and seeing Illidan, their staunches ally/brother/simp, might be considered their equal they cast him out of council. Cast out all magic users, pinning on them the blame both for their own actions to blow up the well and Azshara's to summon the Legion onto them to solidify their rule.
To that same end they never freed the Nightborne. For 10,000 years.
Them when Illidan, now an exile, made a lesser Well of Eternity to help their people with Mana Withdrawal they swooped in seized it, imprisoned him for 10,000 years. Then they planted a tree over it, got the Dragon Aspects to bless it so they gained Immortality, all on the foundation of Illidan's contribution while labeling him "The Betrayer".
In the meantime they force indoctrinated their entire society into Druidism and Elune worship, because she wasn't a racially important diety before then outside of one city. Setting up an authoritarian rule under their control, with a mostly powerless council under them to please anti-monarchy sentiment(the only real reason they weren't crowned).
While doing this they forced their whole civilization to collapse into a few settlements camping out in the Ruins of their own Empire. Most of these settlements actually being made by arcane caster exiles.
10k years later they freed Illidan, begging him for help and basically throwing him solo at the Demon problem they let fester for 10k years. Demanding that he work harder and faster until he complied and took extreme actions, that still weren't inherently evil just disfiguring, and then shunned him for doing what they demanded. Exiling him AGAIN because of his new demonic appearance.
Then they unilaterally made the decision to both sacrifice their entire species immortality and not to grow a new World Tree blessed by the Dragons when offered.
They've since systematically betrayed everyone close to them in one lore book or another until they started losing their most powerful backers like Ysera and Cenarius. Then, and only then, did they actually start playing nice with their neighbors.
They also used this opportunity to go after Illidan once again, who for his part even in BL lore had after failing to assassinated the Lich King screwed off to an entire different planet to form an anti-Legion resistance.
And this is just a general overview because I don't want to spend then next month Deep diving the lore for individual moments where she was just the worst person in the room.

@@originalShorai - If you say so. =') If the Well wasn't blown up, there would be no Kaldorei at all. There's clear bias in your judgment, bias that wouldn't be necessary if she was truly to blame. Not sure what they could've done to "free" the Nightborne from their own impenetrable wall either.
Anyway, these fanatics are specifically blaming her for things that are NOT in any way her fault; the sacrifice of Nordrassil in the Third War, the ending of night elf immortality, and somehow they worked the burning of Teldrassil in there. Then don't mention racism and such, or being the "worst person in the room". lol, there's nothing "tell the truth about her" about it.

@@mokarokas-1727 If the Well wasn't blown up Illidan's plan to suck all the demons back through the portal would have worked. Instead Malfurion purposefully overloaded it, causing the Sundering. We saw him do this personally in a Cata dungeon. This killed most of the Kaldorei, created the Naga and most Satyrs directly, and split the continent into pieces.
All she had to do to free the Nightborne was literally stand outside the shield and say they're safe to come out. They put it up as a fallout shelter and thought the rest of the world was taken by the Legion.
For 10k years she let them slowly starve in a self-made prison because she was mad they didn't give up everything to join a rebellion with a random couple of country bumpkins expounding doomsday conspiracies.
The fact they were right only made it ironic, not Suramar's "great sin" of not listening to then minor temple acolyte Tyrande.
Malfurion personally blew the horn calling the spirits of dead Kaldorei to destroy the World Tree and Archimonde instead of doing it before he got there.
Malfurion and Tyrande personally made the call not to rebuild.
All of this is undeniably true in lore.
As for Teldrassil, I assume they are referring to taking in the Worgen, who Sylvanas hates with a passion following Graymane's actions in Legion. Definitely not Tyrande's fault, but if you're in a poor state you can be easily manipulated to blame someone for a tragedy.

@@originalShorai - I haven't read the trilogy, but that is NOT what happens in-game in the dungeon. Most of the stuff you say still ends at a "if you say so", because nothing really supports it. You're mostly making her responsible for what OTHER people did. She didn't create any naga etc., buddy. lol
The surviving Suramar from Legion didn't even exist in the lore when those books were written, I don't know where you're getting this from. Up until Legion Suramar was canoncially a sunken ruin with no survivors.
Didn't the wisps need Nordrassil's power to pull that off? That's what WC3 implies, and I've seen nothing that suggests otherwise. Either way, Malfurion is not Tyrande. =')
Yes, and I don't know if you're in a "poor state", I don't even know you, but you're definitely biased or manipulated into blaming Tyrande for things she didn't do. Stick to the things she actually outright did, and your argument will be more compelling.

I personally don’t think it’s badly written outside of Fyrakk’s character (in this patch). It’s definitely an introductory story expansion going forward (based on blizzcon). It’s nowhere near the madness that shadowlands was in terms of lore and story. Overall I think it’s a good stepping stone.
