    The iRobot Braava 380t is a quiet little cleaner, but the performance didn't have us cheering for an encore.

    The Braava isn't supposed to clean up an 1 LB of flower, it's to help keep a clean floor clean. Not suck the mud out of a pond.

    I think you are not familiar with the cleaning process. To mop the floors you should vacuum first. So there won't be anything on the way of mopping. Even the bucket and mop cleaning, you don't use sweeper or mop to clean corn starch on the floor. First you vacuum and pick up the excess of it then use mop to clean. This review is pointless.

      EXACTLY!!!! this is really more of a Roomba accessory you let the Roomba vacuum then you run this

      I have the Roborock S5 vacuum cleaner and love it and i am considering this mop to do our floors AFTER the vacuum has finished. This is a mop, you need to vacuum the floors first so you do not have any large particles of stuff around. We have wooden floors mostly all over and this little robot would probably do quite well in our home but i am looking for a second hand one as i do not want to pay out full price for the same product.

    this is for light cleaning. I love mine and use it everyday. If you have a huge mess you need a mop and bucket.

    if this is how people usually mop their floors, i'd be severely concerned. this review is like asking a fish to climb a tree

    I absolutely love my Braava. I use it every day. I can't believe how dirty the floor gets in one day. It does a great job on dog hair. The Braava has troubles going around LaziBoy furniture. THe furniture rocks and sometimes traps the Braava when it rocks back down. I have to watch my Braava when she is in the family room. I am amazed at how well she works under our kitchen table with chairs around the table.

    I'm disappointed with mine, it didn't even cook me breakfast when I woke this morning. That's how inappropriate I feel this review is.

    Ok, lets recap: he doesn't like the handle because of where it it situated (Not a deal breaker). He doesn't like the fact it doesn't return to the charger (again, not a deal breaker). And THEY SMEARED Dish soap on the ground??? of course it will smear when you try to mop it up...This thing still looks like it cleans pretty well.

    I love that Ry tested this on everything the Braava isn't meant to do. It's a dusting robot, you put go before you go to work and it LIGHTLY DUSTS your hard floors. It's not meant to clean pasta sauce or piles of corn starch, it's meant to keep an already clean floor clean.

  • @jonah_herring

    The dry cloth on mine picks up hair and dust really well so trying to make it pick up CORN STARCH is crazy that's not dust...

    I use it after running my scooba with spraying surface cleaning liquids inside it's water tank using the swipe mode (yes not mop mode) it gives spectacular results. This is a secondary cleaning tool to keep your environment absolutely clean during cleaning cycles of your other robots such as Roomba and Scooba.

    If you spill Oil or Mud on the floor clean it up, don't get the robot to do it hahaha!! The tests seem a bit... inappropriate. Like driving a car into a brick wall, that's not how you are supposed to use it.

    My Braava and a vaccum cleaner are the perfect combo. Yes, Braava might leave the dirt in the corners of your house but you can simply vaccum all the borders of your walls and that will make it.

  • @meg3839
    @meg3839 10 лет назад +15

    This thing works pretty well for in-between moppings, as well as when it comes to dusting the floor. It's a time saver if you're like me and want your floors clean, but don't have time to mop several times a week, and is very quiet.
    The dusting clothes aren't great, though, but it's also designed to work with Swiffer dry cloths, which work great. Why wasn't that shown?
    I'm all for honest reviews but this isn't a full-on mop replacement, nor are half the test materials realistic for most households. Or at least I hope not :/

    Had a Roomba 780 for years and they rock.( I don't have to Vacuum. ) I am looking at a Braava as we have 3 kids and the wife mops every day. The floor is not that dirty but I am sure the Braava would work well after the Roomba picked everything up. Then at bed time let the Braava go to work.

    I am sorry but this is really a dumb test! Who is mopping a very dirty floor? Mopping in my country we do after we passed with the vacuum cleaner! By mopping a very dirty floor you just spread the dirt and that exactly what is happening in your test. I see some reviews of people who have this iRobot Braava 380T in real life and who say a lot of good things of it. Maybe you could change the title of your video in: How to spread dirt with a robotic floor mop.

    This unit is great for bed room cleaning, the charge cradle is pretty useless as it is easier to just plug the cable into the unit itself at the bottom.

    What, it can't clean up oil spills in my garage? What a piece of sh-t -- ha ha! What a wank review -- these robots are great (I have this and the 980 Roomba). They rock. My house looks clean always. They work well for WHAT THEY'RE DESIGNED FOR.

    First, do not buy the mopping accessories directly from the Roomba site. Much cheaper at Amazon, Walmart. I have an iRoomba which I love and use daily. I have a large dog that sheds and the vac does an ok job. I still use old style vac weekly. Just bought a Braava. So far not happy with it. I'm thinking I can use a wet mop as quickly as setting up Braava and my elbow grease will get up those spots that I have to go around behind the Braava to clean. Takes over an hour to clean my kitchen floor which is only about 11 x 12. Last, my dog hates it! The Roomba, however, doesn't bother him.

    Seems like a weird test .. using a mop for things a vac would do better

  • @costa2984
    @costa2984 4 года назад

    you could just as well have tested if it swims well. you put it through Roomba tests and expected it to do what? If you put that same cloth on a swiffer, and you do t his manual, you will have the exact same results. You will still need to come with a dust pan and collect all the powder you pushed to the sides. Or a vacuum.
    Run a Roomba through a room, then run the Braava. OR buy a 2-in-1 bot that vacuums in front as it mops in the back

    At some point all Irobot / Roomba's need to be brought back to the charger. Even other brand names do the same thing. Don't let that be what makes you go to another company for this kind of product. I only came here to see why I didn't have a charging dock. Just to realize I do.

    These sort of reviews all use extreme scenarios for robot vacuums and mops to clean up. I think its an American thing, to strive for visual impact and extreme comparisons, then the reviewers can look super professional for being able to pick out lots of inadequacies. However, it just shows that they dun even understand the product concept, design, what the target audience value in these devices. Robot mops and/or vacuums are not meant to clean up big messes, this is obvious from their design, they just dun have the capacity and technique. Clean up the big mess yourself, then deploy them to suck/mop up the remaining residue. They are excellent for daily maintenance to keep cleanliness at a dynamic low equilibrium. You should redo your review using low mess situations, then see which robot gives the best result
