Very nice job Tim....It would be interesting to know hour wise how long that takes...also..Is there a lot of complicated mathematics involved???.....I mean it's still done with a foot powered wheel and a stick...But it seems complicated....And then cut stones should be calibrated???...Never mind..the stone cut is beautiful!!!!..God Bless,stay safe Tim.

Was recently surprised to see a local jewler shop selling rings and necklaces with BLACK SAPPHIRE gems. Never seen black sapphires offered before. Still black grms of various othrr materials havr been popular so why not sapphires too.

Nice stone Tim. What would you classify the cut of your stone.
From the start of video I was tending towards a cushion cut stone...
I have not cut stones but, was told that you can expect to lose 2/3 of original weight when you start faceting? Sounds like you got a good yield.

75-80 % lose unless the stone is a great shape for your cut
