    Awesome. Well done sir. Also, I don’t know what wizardry you’re using to speed up footage but maintain the audio of normal speed... but I’m onto you

    • @burningdinosaurs
      @burningdinosaurs  4 года назад +3

      Thanks, Cap'n! It's challenging but fun to figure these things out - I know you know that too! Well, in my editing software, where you change the speed there's a checkbox to leave audio unchanged or something. Sometimes it works, sometimes it sounds weird that way. I would never use a grinder without safety glasses at a minimum.

  • @JonDingle
    @JonDingle 4 года назад +1

    I like the idea of making a Frenken machine of some sort or another. One thing I would ask of you is that you wear saftey glasses when grinding or cutting. As a former victim after a rogue spark from a grinder went into my right eye, I can say in all honesty, it is an experience you don't want to experience. The doctor removed the metal spark with a needle from my eye just like you would pick a splinter out of your hand. Not good young man. All the best, Jon.

    • @burningdinosaurs
      @burningdinosaurs  4 года назад +1

      Absolutely correct, sir! I don't practice the best safety procedures. I'm familiar with metal removal from my eye! Not fun! Hopefully people don't take my lack of safety as confirmation for their lack of safety! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    2nd you sport the worlds greatest measuring tool in front of us (mitutoyo calipers)
    3rd you leaves us with a to be continued

    kidding great stuff cant wait to see next episode

      Haa! Well, unfortunately, the mill, the lathe, nor the calipers are mine lol! But, having free access to them is pretty darn handy! Yeah, next episode it flings some dirt! And I'll probably go over some of the specs for it too... and maybe some of my thoughts on the whole deal too. Thanks for watching and commenting!

      Always nice to have friends with toys👍😎
      I have a "small" set of those fancy calipers.. previous owner did not keep them clean!! Tossed them in the scrap.. my friends who got his scrap asked if I wanted them.. hell yes!! Some taking apart, cleaning up and a new battery 😎👍
      I've checked it for accuracy.. easy to do up to 6".. little harder to 24", but sure seems to be perfect!!

    I was cheering and impressed the whole way up to welding the washers on the shaft. I’m disappointed because you coulda hooked up and engaged the pto to have weld positioned making short work of the circular weld.
    Because of this poor use of time management I’m forced to dock you...
    9.975/10
    Not bad but I expect better moving forward.

    • @burningdinosaurs
      @burningdinosaurs  4 года назад

      Haa! I gotta ask tho, do you see ANY safety shields on that thing!!??? lol! So, IF that welder could go up that fast, AND I didn't loose any limbs in the process... I should get like 10 extra credit points for that, right!??

    • @JasonWorksAlot
      @JasonWorksAlot 4 года назад +1

      BurningDinosaurs the lack of safety shields counted in your favor already however you’d easily score a solid 23/10 if you did the welding that way
