Asus Rt AC 88u is a more than 6 years old model. With firmware updates I faced several issues with this router either one of the bands stops working properly and/or the range gets limited especially the 5ghz.
So what do you guys think is the best router for range ? I’ve read multiple reviews for all the listed routers here and they all seem sketchy. But I need to make a decision soon as I need something that can reach a room that gets weak signal currently
Best router for range , I would suggest a mesh system, like Nest wifi. If wiring permits in your house you can just buy the router versions and connect them up .(ethernet backhaul) .Each router supports about 2200 square feet. Depending upon what your isp connection speed is you can get good performance with this mesh system .
If you talk about best cverage and wall penetrating Budget friendly router then tenda ac23 might be a best choice which comes with ac2100, 4x4mimo, beamforming + and many more
@@Gladiator1972 The 1400 sq ft is conservative from my experience . I've just tested my Tenda AC23 which I got for $38. My internet data plan is only 67mb/s, but I get 100% speed over an area of 4000 sq ft and around 10% speed out to 6000 sq ft.
Absolutely useless video. The title says best LONG RANGE and you're just listing irrelevant specs on AC and AX units when everyone knows that 5GHz has pathetic range compared to 2.4GHz
you're just talking about what are promised by the manufacturers, no proof about how do they really work in real world
Good point
I thought the same. Real life test is what people are looking for.

Indeed, no idea why he didn't mention ASUS RT-AX86U OR the GT-AX6000

Thanks for the info. What's the approximate range, physical distance for Tp link archer ax6000... In terms of meters or feet?
So great channels that just list features.
Thank you, excellent review on all of them.

Tenda??? never heard of them, and their description says up to 1400 sqft. That's hardly long range, my home is 3700 sqft with 3 floors.
