I think those trash bags are for commercial yard waste carts. They have them on Amazon. They are 90-100 gallon bags.

Great video on a basic survival kit. I keep mine made up, but I also keep working on making it smaller, I don't forsee needing it, but I plan on needing it, that is what it is all about.

Clay.. I just discovered your channel and I'm subbed! :-) I like your common sense approach in the way you do things. It's something that many are missing these days. I'll be checking out your other videos.. the outdoor footage is very similar to what I am accustomed to, as we are only a few hours apart.
    Thanks for the video..

Thanks for the video content! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Lammywalness Your Dream Guide (google it)? It is an awesome exclusive product for discovering how to get a a FREE Edt multitool survival tool without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my BF at last got astronomical results with it.

Clay, thanks for the videos. I like that you're stuff is more Rocky Mountain-focused; a lot of the bushcraft and backcountry-type channels on RUclips are all based back east. I'm in Utah and hunt elk in the High Uintas every year; i appreciate seeing videos with a focus on our region and i hope you keep it up...and i'd really like to see you take an elk with that long bow...

Fatwood handle. Duh. How'd I miss that. Old school map and compass guy here. Recently learned about processors for cell phones with GPS and satellite providers. Been shopping for PLB, two way comms as I'm over 65 now its getting tricky angling in backcountry last couple years. Never been lost. Turned around a few times. So what's a hard-core guy like you use for GPS? Use two way?

Thank you thank you thank you, for not wasting 30 minutes of my time telling me all about name brands and descpitions on crap ya dont need. they would be handy yes, but at what cost and weight???? Who really needs 3 knives, 3 flashlights, and don't forget 6 mountain house meals,etc..... I think a person who loses his gear, but has two backups is screwed before they leave the house. most people are too dependant on the gizmo's. knowledge and 10 items at most, is all a person needs. TP being one of the 10. hahaha. Great video, look forward to more!!

    Hi Clay,
Is there a designation that distinguishes the "good" paracord from the bad? I have heard that MIL-C-5040H paracord is the real stuff that you recommend, but as you said it seems like everyone and their grandma is selling it and I want to make sure I am getting the right stuff. I am a big fan of your videos and book, by the way!

A BOT is $99 plus. No thanks. Also, I'll never go anywhere cool or cold without a scarf of somekind (cashmere preferably). Incredibly useful, even as a hat, and many times you can go without a jacket just by having a scarf.
