Here’s a classic episode of another iconic game show as originally broadcast on March 29, 1993 off WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C. Commercials (as well as that day's lottery drawing) are included.
The tape had some jumpiness particularly during the last few moments of the program, so I did my best to edit out the worst of the jumpiness with better-looking parts. There still may be some jumpy bits, but only minor.

RIP Alex Trebek:( you will always be in my heart and mind
See you later Alex
I miss the set background turning red in Double Jeopardy!
Also remember that Returning Champions would oftentimes start with the Category that they know the most of & try to find the Clues that have the Daily Doubles hidden in them.
This was the BEST Jeopardy! set! It looked so high-tech like being in a computer.
Rest in peace, Alex Trebek
We Love You Alex
3:16 Sorry Don, not quickly enough.
Darn it
pick 3/pick 4 lottery at the beginning was epic. #virginia
jeopardy with Trebek hits different truly.
3:29 - Alex is holding the buzzer that activates the Triple Stumper/"ignorance tone". If you never knew - the host has always triggered that lockout at their discretion, never anyone off-stage!
Are you sure about this? From what the DVD says, someone has a switch that arms the buzzers.. once Alex finishes reading the clue, the Enable button is pressed, the buzzers are live, and you can ring in.
OP is referring specifically to the three tone sound that plays when no contestant buzzes in.
That’s an $11,000 average for Abraham.
That was great, thank you for making this available, it made my day. Peace. 😊
What Are In Jeopardy! Sushi Bar Set/Podiums by Naomi Slodki Used from (November 11, 1996-November 8, 2002) (Seasons 13-19) is?
David Tiemann did end up a three time winner the following week of this season and competed in the Nov 1993 TofC.
I haven't seen Jeopardy! for years, so can somebody remind me if they always allowed players to give imprecise answers in Final Jeopardy!?
Susan would've had a right to feel aggrieved if she'd lost because they accepted "Mount St. Helen" without the "s" on the end, having not accepted her answer here 7:39
I'm not saying they should've accepted Susan's answer but I don't think it was fair that they allowed Abraham and Don to miss out the second "s" in Mount St. Helens, after not allowing Susan to miss out the "s" in "prophets".
I agree!! I came to make the same comment. Only thing I could think is maybe the screen cut off the "s" but he actually wrote it, or Alex assumed he did. 🤔
The words had to be homophonic. Without the s, they aren't.
What Dates-Seasons in Jeopardy! Taped at Sony Pictures Studios (Culver City, California) are Debuted?
I don't know the full date but I know it was 1996 season 13 when jeopardy! Was taped at the Sony pictures studios in culver city 🏙️🌆🌇 California it's also the final time the theme song I love plays as the theme song for the 1997 season bores me:(
What Are In Jeopardy! Metallic Set/Podiums by Naomi Slodki Used from (November 25, 2002-July 24, 2002) (Seasons 19-25) is?
The theme song sounds like a video game.

I remember watching this episode I miss Alex so much 😢 and dancing to this song 😢
22:13 And it only weighs 58 pounds...
I would have thought that this day's "Homophonic pairs" category was a one-time first-time thing considering how awkward the category went, but checking J-Archive, it's been around since 1986 and continues today.
My guess for this Final Jeopardy Clue would have been 1 of the following 3.
1: Mt. St. Helens
2: Mt. Whitney
3: Mt. Princeton
My guess for the final jeopardy clue was pike's peak but I don't know if that's in the USA
Jeopardy is not the same without Alex
I wholeheartedly agree
I didn’t know that the doctor’s granddaughter was on jeopardy lol.
27:09 Oh, now that's just savage. How does Chevy (via Geo) have Toyota manufacture cars for them and then talk smack about them. lol
"C'mon Neddy, move this thing!" "I CAN'T, IT'S A GEO!!"

When Alex asked the first contestant why she wanted to go to Tahiti, I expected her to say "It's a magical place" 🧠🧼
Alex has died of pancreas cancer
