They probably actually ran out of space for Parappa's whaaat. xD There is literally no reason not to use the because one. It sets it up like a gotcha line. Considering there are other single words getting cut from the game for space issues. That seems likely.

They do cut a lot of corners in other levels, but that could also be due to space issues. You might be able to blame the odd dialogue from time to time completely on these space issues. While the game was really fun the writing is lacking due to odd moments at times. It does feel like a lot is missing to fill silence at times.
One small thing that wasn't mentioned: In the first game, the word "frosty" was removed from the opening cutscene for the psp/ps4 version in the US because of Wendy's copyrighting the word.

FNF likely had nothing to do with Parappa being popular again. That is probably entirely to do with the ps4 version. Though the ps4 version is worse than the original release of the game. It did get people to play it en mass on release. It's just not a long game so people probably platinumed it in a day. xD

My belief is that the shorter version of That’s because you gotta do it again would work in context of failing before the level ends and not just being bad or awful the whole way through
