Maybe the problem that you have with the brush is because the signature is grey in color, I have never tried making a brush before but I have seen some people making it fully black instead of slightly grey... maybe
You are completely right! If you follow all of my other steps and make sure that the image saved is completely black, then that fixes the color issue, and after a bit of testing I figured out that it was actually the white that was messing with the color, as if you set the image completely to white, it only paints white and nothing else.
I see what happened, you put the brush to grey which dulls the colors every time you color pick, by setting it to grey the colors are set in value tones which makes the colors appear dull and less saturated, this happened to me as well where i mistakenly sat it to grey tones instead of color tones and it came out either duller colors or greyscale. Short answer: When you made the brush you sat it to grey (color mode) and not color (color mode), which will often lead to dulling the colors a bit if you sit it to grey.
Since i use paint tool SAI i pretty much mix up some brushes people make with my own settings on texture and shape type, and its very helpful :) (also ngl 00:59 what really popped out at me was "something else" lmaoo ig he is a baker too🎂)

@@thomko077 oh wow good to know, glad I was able to help :)
This lowkey reminds me of Pluvium Grandis since he uses a brush(es) that’s literally his name lol
Nro got tired of people asking for what brushes he uses as if that's what will make them paint linke him
You inspired me to start learning art. I've been practicing anatomy for two weeks now. Thank you for your content
