True. It’s nice to put a face to the person though. Reading the bible is a lot more interesting now that I can kind of see who these people were, and what they went through. Their emotions and struggles. They might not be portrayed exactly like they were in real life, but so far, it seems like how normal people would react in those situations.
My only fear is I’m not reading the right one. I had heard that the Bible had been edited many times and that the New Testament is just liberal propaganda rewriting Gods word.
I downloaded the You Version app on my phone but I don’t know which addition it is. I’d personally like to read as close to the original as I can.

Exactly, I been watching the series to get a better visual understanding of the Bible as I’m a better learner that way but I know I have to read the Bible in order to fully understand. It takes years to do so, so I’m sure the series helped shorten that time for me.
Exactly I see Christians dissing the Chosen all the time but then I can't help thinking about all the comments I see about how the Chosen led them to the Lord and now they're studying the word. I also see people commenting that they are opening their Bibles and reading it after like 10-20 years of letting it collect dust.

The first episode of the series with Mary has had such a profound impact, I cried for a long while. I was having issues drinking. In the scene he walked in the bar and told her you don't need this, I felt as though he was talking to me. When he said "you are mine" I lost it. I am so grateful for that experience ❤. of course I know that it's not 100% historically accurate, but it definitely served as an avenue for me to come back to the Lord. Looks like it's been doing the same for others and that infuriates the devil.

Yes perhaps there could of been some other tool used to inspire me, but the same would still apply anyway. It's like saying your relationship with God is built on a friend, if your friend were the one who reached out to you and told you about Jesus in the first place. I doubt the friend portrayed Jesus PERFECTLY either. It's impossible, no one is perfect. That would also mean that every single translation of the bible that every existed would be blaspehmous.

The Chosen is a wonderful way to spread the news. Jesus is not a religion but a personal relationship with God. All faiths and religions would agree that Love and kindness unites us all. Jesus said it himself as a Jew. Helping others even during Sabbath for Goodwill is not sinful. Speaking and sharing kindness with other faiths does not cancel your faith to God, it opens your heart and mind.

The makers of the show always say that you should read the Gospels. They never said BELIEVE The Chosen. They always pushed us towards reading the Gospels.

This reminds me of someone several years ago coming to me saying God gave her a vision with me and my husband (now ex) in it. She said in the vision we were leading a bible study. I was very new in my walk with God after years of darkness and was so hungry I ate up every word she said. I lived my life based on this vision she told me she got from God. I foolishly believed her.
My ex is a severe alcoholic. He is an abusive narcissist and has a strong drug addiction. Instead of leaving him to protect my babies I hung on this girls words and hung on to my marriage. God opened a door for us to flee from him a year ago. So many things are coming out now of how deep the damage is that he did to our children. They are both struggling badly. And right now I am extremely angry at myself for not leaving sooner, for believing the words of this girl. The age of prophecy is behind us. We are to seek God for everything in this life. Holy Spirit will guide us and show us everything we need to know. We don't need to listen to "words from God" from other people. He is God. He will tell us himself when we seek Him.
I truly believe the enemy hates the chosen for what it is doing for everyone and wants us to fight about it and be divided. The enemy is thrilled when we bicker about things that have nothing to do with salvation. This is one of them. I love the chosen.
We need dscernment yes, but there is no such thing as 'age of prophecies'. The spirit still moves as you said. We are supposed to do works greater(as in number) than Jesus in his short ministry. Healing, tongues you name it, its not a past thing.

The excitement and joy I experience when watching The Chosen is unfathomable. I think about Jesus and I want to know Him better. This show impresses the need for the Holy Spirit. A house divided against itself can't stand. He gave us a spirit of power and sound mind. Anything that makes you fall in love with Christ and the Holy Word, I'm here for it.
I say BLASPHEMY AND HERESY!!! Don’t make up your own agenda and don’t even use “Jesus came to me in a dream” as an excuse. This is a show about the New Testament, and it’s a great learning experience for those who either don’t go to church or know our lord and savior
Honestly a lot of people say this show brought them closer to God or encouraged them to read the scripture and bless them all in their spiritual journey. Honestly I’m personally glad that we’re getting a good Biblical adaptation that both adapts the iconic stories and also explores interesting themes and ideas and even exploring characters that don’t have much screen time in other adaptations. In a time where I thought the age of Biblical Epics was ending I’m glad to see there are still talented artists and story tellers who know how to bring the religious text to life and I hope it inspires others to do so. Cause whatever your thoughts on the faith, these are still great stories that deserve to be told and told well

Divergent tactic trying to push people away from what I believe to be one of the truest and most accurate depictions of Christ in our modern time right now with movies.
They don't want you to see Jesus in the way he operated acted and spoke. There is a lot of great stuff in the chosen I've not found one thing that I disagree with in that show so far.
If you're not familiar, he is depicted as a man, he is called The profit, and even rabbi.
He struggles with the temptations of humanity. And he even shows mercy upon demons.
A lady was possessed by a bunch of demons and the demons cried to Jesus and said please don't send us back to that void or the darkest lower layers of hell. And what Jesus did was he casted the demons out of the person and place them into pigs, aka swine.

As a Christian, I get a little concerned when people start making decisions based on dreams they had. Can some visions happen in the form of dreams? Yeah. But most dreams are simply dreams.
This is how God communicates to ME. This a gift given to me from him. That may not be your gift and that’s cool. I strongly suggest you pray for discernment and carefully examine me and what God showed me by asking the Lord if this is him or not. That’s your assignment!
I would not show this series to my children or grandchildren, based on the Ramah story alone. You cannot take liberties like that with Jesus walk on this earth.
This plot where Jesus refuses to heal Ramah is out of line. I remember no time in the Bible where he refused a request to heal. This is not in line with Jesus way of functioning while here on earth. He refers to himself as The Bridegroom in this reply to a question: Jesus replies with a question in which He references Himself: “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them?” (Matthew 9:15 …). The answer of course was: no.
The very fact he stated that it was now time to be joyful because he was present with them leaves no room for him to say he’s “sorry” and let Thomas’s loss of his fiancee’ remain with such grief as he simply looks on.
We all know(!) that God doesn’t always answer our prayers the way we would like; that doesn’t need to be stated. We all struggle with those types of things, some much worse than others. Still, to over-ride Jesus own statement about not needing to grieve while he’s here, is too much. It contradicts him. No thank you. I won’t watch more.

The chosen series never claimed to be a Christian show. They try to keep it accurate as they can. They have consultation board made up of a rabbi, catholic priest and a Protestant pastor to keep things in line
in Star Trek, whenever scenes were filmed in the "engeneering department and its corridors" the producers thought that flat walls were unconvincing. They got the set designers to come up with a way to make it look more realistic, and they decided on various sized pipes running down the length of the walls. Not satisfied, they said it needed some kind of written information to which the set designers came up with a code. GNDN was painted on the walls and the producers loved it! One asked "What does it mean?" to which they were informed it means "goes nowhere, does nothing."

This morning I had a dream about this show, my hubby have been saying for a long time that I should watch it. I never felt like I wanted to because I believed the Hollywood jews were behind it. But then...an inner voice said to me "Watch it" And I felt that the show could bring me knowledge and inspiration because I've never felt like reading the bible at all. It just felt right so i had to watch it. I saw the first episode only an hour ago and I don't regret it, it was so special and made me just want to read the bible right now! What you have been dreaming of must've been from the evil one, he wanted you to spread this so that people won't have an interest in finding Christ because as you know many of the watchers have turned to our Lord and Saviour. So what you are saying here is bad and the vid that the evil one wanted you to make, this "warning" should be deleted ASAP.

I stopped watching. I'm a Christian and I can't believe they're getting away with making this and people love it,people are falling for it. I can't believe many of them have read the Bible.

Those who want scripture in its purest essence can read scripture, i see no problem with people making drama based in said scripture especially seeing as people have done just the same thing since it was written (untill the reformation took all the artistic stuff out of christianity pretending beauty is a distraction from God rather than the face of God)

Its just a show to attract young generation to Bible and Christianity and to develop teens' interest towards the word of God.
The cast who played Jesus's character said so in one of his interviews.
The Chosen is not the bible dear. They only trying their best to help is understand the history, the connection between the old testament and the new testament, the relevancies if the time phase, the visualistion of the theme, places, correlation, etc. So people who wonder about those knowledge and people like me whose Asian could at least catch a glimpse of some confusing correlation between verses and may be between chapters ir even between books. Sometimes what God shows you… is just for you. We are sometimes too quick to share things when they are revealed to us. There are pastors that my Christian friends send me sermons to watch, that the Holy Spirit won’t let me watch. But that’s just for me in that season.
