How did you power this strip and which wire went where
RobertosLife This is the power supply. Here are just a 12V power supply must be connected. Tip order but simply a set with power supply. Then you need nothing just make plug and play.
I bought two of these kits for 17.00 dollars total for my shop. So excited to install them.

That's for everyone with RGB colours. The red green and blue make white when they are on the max. RGB makes colours. It looks like it is one colour on camera but in real life, it isn't. He has SMD so it is one colour but you can't make DIY colours with SMD

yes, but it has to be waterproof, i had a pool party last week at night and i put these in and they looked so cool!
yes ,it need to be waterproof IP68, the strip light can be work under the water.
Make sure they're in a casing that's rated IP67 or IP68. The one he showed in the video was an IP65 which is only splash resistant which means you can't put it underwater or it will break over time.

I just bought 2 reels of these for my truck. Using them as floor lighting but they are super tight around corners, i need to cut them in a few different spots to make the bends around the dash by my feet, without having extra wire showing and hanging, how do you recommend i go about splicing these together? Should i measure out my lengths, cut, stick then splice? Or find where to cut splice and THEN stick on? Any help would be appreciated
I am not sure how to cut it and use the other part that I cut.
There are 2 connectors at both ends so you just need another controller box or if yours supports 2 strips connected to use it.
Just asking, would there be any way if I can put it both under my bed and behind my monitor, or like 1 strip is one use?

It looks like they have to all be the same color. Look up independently controlled led strips. Connect those to power an a microprocessor that can be controlled by arduino as nd they can do crazy things.

On the video this led lighting has 2 connectors on either end so once you have cut the length you need all you need is another connector and bingo you have another length of led lighting

ark333 This is the same black plug. The only difference is that he is on the other side. Here you can connect another Led strip to extend, or you use for power supply.
To connect it up to a 12v battery or a 12v wall adapter.

Cool! This is not a good as the digital light strips which you can make effects with but it is still better than nothing as an analog strip

There's no way to set this to Flash or Fade 1 single color is there? It seems as tho it comes pre-desinged to only flash, fade, and jump certain colors.. If you know of a way, where I could only fade a single color, please let me know.
guys help when i got some exactly like those and when I press the colors it doesn't turn that color but 2-3 other colors(ex when i press green it turns into green and blue) and the wheel buttons (the upper ones near the off/on) don't do anything what can I do?

Good review but product is not as it should
It came incomplete
- you still have to buy other cables separately either plug for wall or USB cabel for pc or tv ...
- the remote signal is so weak you have to stand from your comfy couch and go right infront of the led strip signal to change light to your preferred color
-Limited lighting options still missing some cool lighting like pulse ...
However there are better led strips than this one but for it cheap price and first time to install you can go for it...

Are they removable?
I noticed the connectors are R G B 12+, do you know if each LED is addressable or is it all on or all off? Thinking of use with a micro-controller such as Arduino. Strips I already have only use 3 connectors: Data, Vcc and Gnd.

You can only use the one you said with the 3 pins as those are digital strips.

Mine didn’t come with a power cable or anything I just have the led lights a small with box with a hole for the black cable that leads to nothing and the white box has a white,blue,red, green cable and the small little nub cable plz someone help

Just bought one of these for 15 Euro. Same lightstrip and remote, different controller. came with powersupply too. Works great.
Just 1 problem, also bought a RGB LED lamp with remote from a different brand and they interfere with eachother. For example, making the lamp blue causes the strip to turn yellow. the buttons don't match on each device.
Just something to consider when your running multiple brands of RGB in the same room.

+lxfx Um das abgeschnittene Teil zu benutzen, musst du einfach kabel an die Lötstellen löten und diese wiederum an den LED controller anschließen
+stillesWasser Wenn du die gewünschte länge an Band abgeschnitten hast, kannst Du entweder einen 2 Adapter (weisses Kästchen mit Fernbedienung plus einen neuen Steckeraufsatz/ schwarzes Ende des Bandes)für recht wenig Geld kaufen, oder du verbindest den restlichen Bandabschnitt via Lötkolben und Drähte an eine passende Spannungsquelle.

hey guys if you think why your led light is pure color is.... It is because you buy the wrong model they are three main led 2835 3528 and 5050.... 5050 is the model of pure color led
How can we power this strip if we want to use it inside a pc? Or if we can't, which strip would you recommend for pc lighting?
You got to make sure you have a decent power supply, Just connect it to a 12v and then ground, If you find a place where the IR receiver works your good :)
