bro, im old school. from new york to LA. we be known as some of the top breakers/poppers and inventors of the game. and I gotta say this, SALAH is the single most dominating individual I have EVER seen. his creativity. the depth of his moves. i mean this dude got moves that can fill 5 dictionary size binders. thats how we do it, we log it down, record it and practice moves that weve written down to practice, but this dudes got the whole book. also his moves compliment the music.
Songs: 0:00 - "I Like What You're Doing to Me" by Young and Company 5:25 - "One Nation Under a Groove" by Funkadelic (some kind of remix or live version) 7:08 - "Still in the Groove" by Ray Parker, Jr. & Raydio 9:26 - "It's All the Way Live" by Lakeside
i’ve been watching this video every now and then since i was grade 10 in highschool. 15 years ago was the first time and i just came across it again. sooo good.
this was during my fav time of salah, dude was really on during this era. he's still great .. i think he knows about every song every created and respects it. the few times you are able to tell that he doesnt know the music , his musicality still just serves. Popula is a beast too, his boy Demenita is nice aswell. great dancers.
Salah is salah. Loved him in this era as well. Just raw, expressive, explosive. Phenomenal dancer with tons of personality. But give credit to Popula & Sally Sly. Two of my other favorite poppers. They hit it hard and are smooth as hell.
Kite is raw as hell. He has his own style of boog that doesn't rely on tricks and crowd pleasers. It's straight up boog. Salah and the lot are good but I agree, people give way to omuch credit to them when it comes to skill. They're good as fuck, but not the best. You really can't say "He/She" is the best, they're all just straight up raw poppers. (Back in this vid you can still see some of Damon Frosts style in Salah's popping lol)
at 6 minutes in one nation under a groove by funkadelic is the song playing but the guitar solo is different does anyone know what version that is? i cant find it anywhere, help please?
it's a dance form that belongs to 4 stand-up dance styles, also called funk styles. This one is called poppin'. Within poppin the are a lot of sub-styles like; scare crow, tuttin' or egyptian, and ofcourse the overall better known waving and robotic styles. Other funk styles are lockin', housedance and newstyle
as a dancer there are much more talented ones in this world for sure...but in poppin battles, espacially in improvisation he is unbeatable...all in all the best poppin entertainer EVER...there could be good ones in america or elsewhere...but no one has des CLASS of salah...and i´ve seen a lot...
ya thats true.....ever since i started poppin iv always wanted to see a vid of salah and mr wiggles goin at it that would be sick or bionic man vs bruce ykanji would be dope 2
the first one is young and company i like what you're doing to me. right when they start the track, it's funkadelic - one nation under a groove. and then i think he switches to ray parker jr.
1. Young and Company - I Like the Way you Make me Feel. 2. Funkadelic - One Nation under a Groove. 3. Ray Parker Jr. - Still In The Groove. 4. Lakeside - All the Way Live.
Salah makes really really good dancers look like goonz. The dude in the banana 🍌 outfit wasn't bad but he looked like a bumm on the stage with salah. Ouch!!
@0BeNo Because, this is true popping / locking attire, that's how they dressed back then when this stuff was first on the seen. Bagoloo brothers the originators of some or most of all this, wore the suits o those times. That was considered sharp back then, contrast to the leisure suits, that's stiffs would wear.
@aarcat78 this is the song but is it a remix? because i can't found exactly the same song. there is a solo in 5:58 than i can't found and this is the best part! thanks!
wassup everybody ive heard this beat bangin and i dont even know the name of it could somebody help me, please its the first beat at the second round, thanx
oh yeah, for you, it's a lil segment of funkadelic, one nation under a groove. i left the comment for triluve, but i don't know if you'll get a response.
This is before Popula found his style, but to say he CANT dance is just stupid! Dancing means more than tricks, but it just so happens that's Salah's dance style is flash. Tough break for P. Dope Battle.
The sequence fom 5:30 to 6:30 especially 5:50 to 6:10 is just uncalled for from Salah, ridiculous, freaking ridiculous!!!!!!!! And popula i no slouch, he is one of the few, I'e seen hang with Salah in popping, although, Yoshida as fine as she is, ate Salah up in a locking battle, look it up on youtube But big up to Popula fr hanging, wth one of the best routines I've seen from Salah, I agree 5 minute market is legendary stuff there.

I absolutely love salah, but god Popular has so much FUNK! The first track seems to go perfect with Popular's Popping/dance style. awesome battle
this was during my fav time of salah, dude was really on during this era. he's still great .. i think he knows about every song every created and respects it. the few times you are able to tell that he doesnt know the music , his musicality still just serves. I have never seen anybody beating Salah... Just amazing!!!

I saw this video in 2007... now its 2017. Wow man :/
Popula was done, when he stepped up no enthusiasm. I'm not a big Salah fan either, but dude looked psyched out from the start.
Fantastic!!!
at 6 minutes in one nation under a groove by funkadelic is the song playing but the guitar solo is different does anyone know what version that is? i cant find it anywhere, help please?

as a dancer there are much more talented ones in this world for sure...but in poppin battles, espacially in improvisation he is unbeatable...all in all the best poppin entertainer EVER...there could be good ones in america or elsewhere...but no one has des CLASS of salah...and i´ve seen a lot...

4. Lakeside - All the Way Live.
They have completely different styles and they are both awesome - but I like Salah's style best.
one nation under a groove by funkadelic
Salah makes really really good dancers look like goonz. The dude in the banana 🍌 outfit wasn't bad but he looked like a bumm on the stage with salah. Ouch!!

Salah=Arabic word. Means "goodness." Used both as a common and proper noun.
6:36 is insane
Even Brazil has lost a soccer match, but it doesn't mean that Brazil isn't the best.
