Thankyou for your washing video and advice , I am a new goldwing owner , I just bought a 2005 with just under 29,000 miles a learning about caring for my bike , thanks again.
With a 2014 total black GW (black frame, valve covers and wheels), I spray S100 on the wheels and let it soak while I hand wash the rest of the bike. I mostly use Meguirars car wash, using a leaf blower and finish up with micro fiber towels. Once in a while I use Armor All Wax It Dry gel after washing.
Very nice setting you have there, seems peaceful and quiet, those trees give nice shade, all you need now is easy chair a beer and new cigar 🤣 sit back and enjoy clean bikes. best wishes 🇬🇧
You inspired me. Need to clean my wheels. Good project for today. I did the valve clearance 32k check yesterday. All of the valves were in spec so no re-shimming needed. That made me happy. Look forward to seeing your next ride.
@@MemphisMike901 Nope! They were all just as they should be. Back in my youth I worked in a motorcycle shop. Back when points, and condensers were still used. Few bike used shims back then. Since then I got a V-strom 1000 so I have had some practice. The tools for the GL loosening the cam change tensioner I made. I have a metal lathe, and mill. Saved a lot of money over buying them. The right cam chain tensioner is a real bear to access with the ABS brakes. There is also a hose in the way that make it a real bugger to get to. I check the clearance with tension on, and off. It made no difference. I don't think it is necessary to release tension unless you have to pull a cam to install new shims. Others on forums have said they found the same thing. The trick to viewing the timing marks is to use a plumbers mirror, and a flash light. No way to get ones head in there to see them other wise. It was easy other than the tensioner issue. The only shop I trust here in Arizona is in Tempe, and it is a lot of nasty city driving and a 100+ miles to get there. Would have to leave the bike, and drive back to get it. A lot of hassle, and cost. If I had a shop I trusted close by I would just let them do it.
I do much the same sans Pwasher...HOWEVER, on rear tire, I start the bike and put it in gear, let that wheel turn and then spray it down with some 50/50 Simple Green then just use my car wash brush on the handle to get in and scrub the wheel while it turns. Does a good job. To dry bike I use a battery powered leaf blower to get a lot of the water off and then finish her off with a chamois.
Mike, I use S-100 cycle cleaner for the wheels and undercarriage. it is spray on and hose off. Buy it online or Harley dealers usually have it. It works great. Be careful with the power washer on the wheel bearing area. I know you are on low pressure but it may get into the bearings and they will wear out sooner.
Yes, it has audio and comfort package as well CD player in the tour pack. Even though it's gold it's pretty sharp. Pictures are at Honda Powersports Of Troy. Thank You Sir for your comment .
When I wash my vehicles I start at the top and work down. With all the road grime and brake dust on the wheels and tires I do them last this keeps the washing solution cleaner
Pro’s corner presents! What the pro’s use for keeping their rides looking purdy. Was video pre-rear tire bologna-skin days? A good thing we didn’t spend too much time back there I’d know the answer to that question. 😂 But thankfully you took care of that. We got that video. 🙏🏼
If you ride, the bike gets dirty. I use S100 total cycle cleaner for the whole bike. I hose the bike down, squirt on the s100 let it sit a couple minutes. Then use the sponge that comes with it to wipe the bugs and tar off, rinse it off, then dry it. If the bugs are are burned on the pipes I use an SOS pad on them, wipe them down with a wet rag and dry them. Ride safe, stay healthy.
I haven't seen S100 in a long time around here. Sometimes I will use Bike Brite, but it still needs a little bit of scrubbing and REALLY has to be rinsed well!

YES sir!!!! WHITE is sufficient for sure......She usually goes to the Lift After I wash it, for the final detail! the heck with that laying on ground, getting on knees Right!
To me, nothing worse than doing the wheels, easy to get down there, getting up not so much! I also use a light pressure wash, hot (122 degree) water, removes bugs and dirty rather well. Nice vid, again.
Mike, i would have busted out that PitBull Lift. At least you didn't do like Qbal with that pressure washer LOL... Bike looks Great!!! Thank for the Video.
At my size wearing the Harpoon shirt could end in disaster. That aside, this was very timely. I'll be doing mine this weekend. I've got the polisher, polish, yellow, black, and orange pads, ceramic finisher and no idea what I'm doing. 😂😂 Wish me luck and don't be surprised if your phone rings. ☺👍
Nice one MM. If/when you polish your rims try a Harbor Freight Motorcycle wheel cleaning stand. It allows you to easily rotate the front tire. Not such a big deal for washing as I move the tire the same way you did, but for polishing it really makes a difference. What do you use for protection? I've been using Meguires Hybrid Ceramic Spray wax with very good results. Good looking out!
I've been living in Charleston, SC for the past 20 years, but I grew up and lived in Memphis all my life and just by the looks of the immediate surroundings and age of the houses, I'd say that looks like the Raleigh area. But my question is, how many miles do you have on your Wing now? That's a 2008, right? Also after two years, do you still like the Rivco highway pegs you bought at WingDing?
Did you make your washer Handel like that with no long wand never seen short with no wand makes me want to wash mine black I believe is for applying soap with washer I think what I have been told
I simply replaced the Long Handle which you normally see, with a new handle...it is hooked up with Quick Connect...makes life a whole lot easier when washing, as you can see! Yes, the black tip is for apply soap...i use it also just for a lite quick rinse as well. here is a link to the gun i use: amzn.to/3hkfN9R

MM, dude you made me tired just watching. I grab a bucket and lots of rags and beer and give new meaning to the term hand wash. Seat and bags come off and I wipe on-wipe off.
Hi Mike, on motorcycles there are just to many seals and small thin gaskets and areas that high pressure is just not good. On a fine machine like your wing you just don’t need it.
