    Ben, please make a video about your job acceptance at Flybe. And how easy/difficult getting your first airline job was, this would be very helpful.

    I've spent about 5 hours today just watching these, its a mix of education and comedy, as well as a vlog that you don't get from other channels.

    Hello from Wisconsin. The radio calls are certainly detailed, but flowed smoothly. Very interesting to see England from the air in a general aviation airplane. One misses too much out the window of an Airbus.

    Another great video as usual! Great to see how far you’ve advanced in your aviation career and it shows with your constant professionalism in the cockpit! Some food for thought (And this is by no means critiquing your flying), when I was taught how to complete a carb heat check I was told to keep the carb heat pulled out, or “warm”, for at least 7-10 seconds. That way if you do have any ice build up the RPM drop will be more apparent than doing a short burst of carb heat. Keep up the great content and all the best in future flying endeavours!

      Liam F thanks a lot Liam! I usually keep it on for 5-7 seconds but that’s a fair point I’ll review it and see if I’ve got into a habit of not having it on quite long enough!

      I’ve recently been taught on our Jodel to do the Carb Ht Chk turning on to downwind as it takes time to complete while monitoring the RPM. Then it does not delay the pre-landing checks.

    Great video Ben! White Waltham was such a nice airfield. About 37 degrees the day I was there at CRM for the JOC, and lots of activity. Would have been fun to fly there at some point. A bit daunting with the UK phraseology with the joins, deadside, etc. But I guess it's just habit. So much simpler in Norway :D

    Hi Ben, good advice about the advance Overhead radio calls... i flew to Bembridge yesterday and was very keen to let other aircraft know “where” I was and where I was going.

    I did my PPL skills test in G-BUIF when based at Newcastle about 4 years ago! When do you start your Type Rating? Just literally finished the mod 3 revision week at BGS, can't wait to get the ATPLs out of the way!!

    how do you "clear your ears" when dealing with the pressure change when climbing and descending

    • @simon.t-c
      @simon.t-c 5 лет назад

      JTecX PlayZ have a drink of water or swallow. Do not blow with your nose covered as this can force the Eustachian tube to close.
