It's not a flip, it's a character development. Raavan is and will be a complex character to write unlike Sita and Ram, who both have set their own principals so, writers can create a boundry for these characters. Not the case with Raavan, even if you read/watch the Raamayana, Raavan is part good/part bad character. Hope the 4th book justify your confusion.
Please give unbiased recap of the book. You spend so much time hating on this book and end up missing plot points. Honestly, this book was the best in the series so far. Excited to read the last one!
I don’t see if I speak about what I disliked, how it’s ‘biased.’ You shared how you like it. In that way, you’re biased too. Let’s just learn to respect one another’s opinions?
Compare to other Ram and Sita book series i felt Ravan book is more interesting. The way he has written his soft corner towards vedavati ( Kanyakumari) till his cruality towards vedavatis killers..its amazing nice to see different shade of ravans. And the way you explained book in short and sweet way excellent.
Hi thank you for the recaps I am going to read war of Lanka to usse pahle I just went to went through the previous three books recaps and its a big help. Coming to the Ravan wala character I feel kuch Kirdar aise hote Hain Jo ki karna achcha chahte Hain but at the root of it any kind of small change in there environment be it the people or the situation or anything at all that impacts them a lot so I felt ki Ravan use tarike ka character hai jisko agar kahin per achcha hone ka kahin se bhi thoda sa motivation milta hai to vah kuchh samay ke liye hota hai but then again thoda sa bhi इधर-उधर ho jata hai then it impacts him at a very large scale and hence uske Jo actions hote hain for a small action there is a very large reaction by Ravan and hence uske jo bhi decisions hote hain and there of a large magnitude and it causes ripples through the entire aryavarta
Hi I understand why you felt that but Amish named this book raavan orphan of aryavarta but mid way realised that he was evil and he changed orphan to enemy. But he wanted to develop a good villain character and I just felt that the way what happens to him is justified he is trying to protect the ones he love. Its like ready to burn the world to protect the one who he loves.
This book is better than the previous two. So sorry that you did not understand Ravan ‘s character. He was part good and part bad. You need to read more books about Ravan. And villain does not mean only evil. But thanks for the recap.
Thanks for the comment. Do you have any recommendations for Raavan's stories? I wholeheartedly believe Raavan wasn't only evil. Have read a lot of things about how smart he was.
This Man is Anti Hero!!! If u read the new book, he already said," You both will be immortal, And due to you , I will also be immortal" The portrayal of ravan as anti hero than Villain as in bollywood and Ravanuddin Khilji as in Adipurush is far much better!!
I think you must have read this book with a prejudiced mind as ravan the bad guy or villain. Simple truth is that there is no such human as pure evil or pure good..that's why u get confused with narration 😌
@@IndianBooktuber it galddens me to know that you are interested in further knowing my opinion. Firstly thanks for reading. I consider that it was really necessary to go into detail of his inner conflict as I believe time and again pointing towards his inner conflict shows that at every point he was given a chance to redeem himself but sadly he couldn't fight with his inner demons and went on the down hill path of Adharma. A path that lead him to his end. For me this book was most relatable as (sadly) when it came out I had every possible thing to relate with Raavan (i had conflicts with my parent for such similar minor issues, couldn't accept that the woman I love isn't with me, and I could go on) hopefully with addition of some good influences and acceptance I could change my ways, but I still understand why he is the way he is portrayed. I have seen all three of them and can understand why you like Sita's book but I would say to understand darkness of an Villian or even an antihero one must have experience a slight bit of it. Lastly I think I should apologise for my other comment it was very rude and abrupt but I hope with this one you get a proper nuance of my argument. Regards Arun P.S. I will be buying War of Lanka soon but if your review will be out before than it will great.
Thanks for these 3 videos, really needed the recap. I too felt the first book was good, second took it up a notch but the third felt underwhelming. Now, onto the 4th book that I got delivered yesterday.
For me this was the best book out of the three...Ram was a bit boring, Sita was very beautifully written book, But Raavan was a thriller roller coaster ( Best ).. Dunno why you felt that way.. Great recap but , review 👎
Thank you for the feedback. I haven’t done many recaps so I guess it took me a couple to make these better. I am sure future ones, if I do more, would be even better. Glad you liked this :)
Character conflict is properly implemented on Ravan Sadly you couldn't understand the conflict
I just finished this book. And I think this book was good than the other two. Maybe it is because as a teenager villain characters gives me a thrill.
That’s great. So glad you liked this book.
@@IndianBooktuber yes, excited for the 'war of Lanka.
Btw love your videos.☺️

Ravan was and is the best of all previous 3
I don't know how you feel like this....

Asura The Tale of the Vanquished was much more better than this book.
I would really recommended to watch true Ramayana

Gratitude 🙏you are a big saver, else I had to reread all the books again. now I can enlightenly start 4 th book.
Do let me know how it goes! :)
my hand was shaking after reading this book🥵🥵
You really did a bad job in understanding the character of Ravan,he actually has a very common character if you really look, the complicated one is Ram
That's an interesting thought. Do tell more about it
Great recaps. All set for the 4th book!
Thank you :)
Thanks for recap can't wait to start reading book 4 🔥
I finished war of Lanka

The book doesn’t deserve the way she is criticising this book
I'm very excited about the 4 th book 😊👍
Me too
It's already out. War of lanka on flipkart
Hi. Loved your reviews. Also, can you clear that point about Mbakur? which character from Ramayana is he???
I still have no idea
I think you must have read this book with a prejudiced mind as ravan the bad guy or villain. Simple truth is that there is no such human as pure evil or pure good..that's why u get confused with narration 😌
Nope. Don’t think so. Considering how I love the villains precisely coz I believe in the fact that there’s no pure good and pure evil.
Have yu read war of Lanka its good im at ch22😅❤
Not yet
Gone with the wind book kaise hai.
Haven’t read it. Sorry.
Sita is much worse. Ram is the worst. This one is the best in the 3.
:(
in begining watching raavan cut animals seemed las if he was portrayed as a psychopath like jeff Dahmer
Hmm and then? What about the flips of the character? What about the unnecessary explaining of his barbaric character throughout the book?

U can keep the book down .
Heheh I am alright. Thanks for the concern however I am used to it now. Lol

I do appreciate you watching and commenting however I don’t think it’s fair for you to thumbs down the review coz it’s not according to what you feel.
Hi...
This review was the best recap
Sita was okayish
But you should have worked harder for the recap of ram ...
No offense
Love your videos
