21:52 Good advice... Also get a screw tip that will pull itself into the wood. Like you have there.
I picked up a 2" Forstner bit to make Swedish Candle or Swedish Torch (rocket stove) from logs. The bit had a pyramid shaped tip & it walked all over the place. Made it very difficult to start holes.
Of course the easiest way I found - was to make 3 cuts (6 pieces of pie), about 1/2" off center with a chainsaw. It leaves a small triangle in the center that burns off quickly.

I don't quite follow this. What is the purpose of the spiral past the first inch? My grandfather was a carpenter and an upholsterer and had some old tools laying around. If you get an actual old school hand drill for wood working they have a pointy nose and a flat sharp knife for the first inch or less. They are not rounded and they are very sharp. Once you dug out the material the rest of the drill bit seems like a waste. I see that it may be helpful in clearing the material but as far as cutting goes it seems useless.

    Frosty, right?
Hey, an excellent way to get back to nature like humans seem never to do anymore.
And what I see of them routinely, even with my "supposed" family, they are way too uptight and tense.
Me, I am retired so I healed that disease long ago, say 15 years ago.
    Oops, there goes my age.;)
Okay, I've had this great idea for 2 years or more, to build--I have an acre and plenty of trees--an-off-the- ground--maybe even 14 to 16 ft. up, a deck to relax and watch nature much close up, and also, sleep in on nice days.
Frosty, could you not add another floor to your wooden house, say an additional 5 to 6 ft. or more, then use the top of your roof/deck, to sit and thoroughly relax far above the ground and not worry about any little humans that might interfere with your special times?
My plan. What do you think, Frosty?
I live in the midwest, USA, where the seasons are not so bad that you can't adjust them fairly easily.
    Stay safe, great vid.
    And love that dog, too.

Thanks. I was thinking about a more classical roof, maybe I modify it in future but for now this will do. And I'll put an ammo can stove inside, just because I have one and don't really use it.

@@frostys_bushcraft considering only the Corporal can do his brand of cringe like he does, yes, definitely!
Your channel also has a no BS approach to outdoor skills, which is what I want!a
Good to see you not editing out your pronunciation difficulties, hail being a good example

Greetings from sunny North Carolina! Speaking of heat, it was 37.11111 degrees here the other day, so I can appreciate how hot it must have been to work in summer heat.
Your tree house is so impressive! You put a lot of thought, and hard work into it's design and build. You really should have been an engineer. You are always thinking of the design of things, and how to make them better. Your version of the auger seemed to work much better. It didn't tear the wood apart so much, and went through more smoothly. Kudos for all you did!
Will you chink everything later, or leave as is? (Thinking about winter). Also, you might consider a lock on the door? (Keep the foxes out....lol)!

Thanks Sue! Yeah, that's just how my brain works :) When I started this channel my first idea was to call it "modify everything" since there's lierally nothing I have that I didn't modufy or make myself. Yeah, I'll fill all the holes with moss or mud to make it warmer for cold weather. And I'll put an ammo can stove inside so I can really enjoy it when sub zero temperatures come :)
