      Glad you enjoyed it! and thank you Praveen for this nice gratuity. Much appreciated.
      Do watch the video on REITs aswell. My research seems to suggest, there is a cyclical opportunity of making 10-15% on REITs at below average risk by purchasing units when the marketprice-to-NAV is less than 18% and selling it when that discount reach 5%. This 13% alpha is excluding dividends .. so overall an 18% return is plausible. The video offers a lot more .. enjoy!
      The next video release is tomorrow (4th Jan), see you then :)

    Hey! Don't just watch & like .. also SUBSCRIBE to my channel ❤
    If you're wondering why I'm writing this :) .. here's a stat worth getting peeved about --- 85.9% of viewers have not subscribed
    I first thought "maybe they didn't like the content" -- but the number of likes from non-subscribers is a lot higher than subscribers (59% vs 41%)
    Not sure what is happening .. but if you are non-subscriber, please consider changing your status to "subscribed". Benefits include:
    a) receive new content as soon as it is released
    b) get additional knowledge of investing via the community page on RUclips
    c) don't miss out on upcoming events like RUclips live, book giveaways etc.
    Thanks!

    I really enjoy your videos.Most of the investors have very basic knowledge of financial markets and cannot make prudent financial decisions.Your videos truly educate people on how to obtain financial freedom by following proven statistical and scientific methods used by finance gurus. Quick question on when you mentioned 3 year CAGR yielded 46.2% by following Peter Lynch strategy were the stocks weighted equally in the portfolio of 32 stocks? Appreciate for all your efforts in making videos with great content !!!!!

    • @shankarnath
      @shankarnath  Год назад +1

      Thank you Sandeep for this kind gratuity and your appreciation. I'm myself curious to know how a lot of these work so there's a little discovery & a little excitement when making these videos, glad you liked them. Yes, the stocks were equal weighted by me in my analysis
      Kindly watch my videos on Monopoly Portfolio and Ten Baggers. That along with this one on Peter Lynch will help you form a stronger view on what to look for in companies and stock. I myself am using that concoction in my own stock selection, it's still early days but there's a method to it and I like it that way.
      Thanks again!

      Peter Lynch in his book disagrees that it is more of an art and that is why most science guys get it wrong. He says too much Quantitative interpretation might get it wrong. Investing is simple and more of an art than a science. Peter himself studied history and psychology and mentions he did not take any accounting, business or math classes and maybe that what might have set him apart...

    • @shankarnath
      @shankarnath  2 года назад +3

      Thanks. Never use a filter to find out value traps. Filters will not work .. infact, it's because of filters that people get stuck in value traps. Best solution --- analyse the company completely before investing in it.

    PEGY ratio as calculated by Peter Lynch is based on future growth projections and not past growth, as implied in this video (or at least that was my impression). This is a crucial distinction, because, even if past growth should be looked at when projecting future growth rates, that is only one variable and multiple others should be factored in growth projections. Many times future growth estimates differ than past growth rates.

      So nice of you, thanks! Yes, it takes a lot of effort on my & my editor's part .. takes us 4.5-5 man-days to get one video out. This doesn't include the supplementary activities like commenting, thumbnails, descriptions & unnecessarily ogling at analytics.

    Undoubtedly one of the best & informative videos to help retail investors to understand the methodology used by ace investors in simple language. Just one request, if you would have added names of a few companies out of those 32 would have been great.
    Thank you so much for doing an in-depth analysis & educating retail investors.

    Exhaustive and wonderful content. I fail to understand why the subscriber base is very less!

    • @shankarnath
      @shankarnath  Год назад +1

      Thank you very much. It's easy to pump up the subscriber base by making best 3 stocks, this stock will give 100x returns etc. type of videos. I don't make those and thereby cater to a smaller but more dedicated set of audiences that are here to improve their investing education. But here's some food for thought -- although I have 2% subscribers of where some of the big finance content creators are at, my daily channel views are 15% of theirs. That shows the viewership is a lot more engaged which is what I yearn.
